A lot may hyped other mems, but Chiquita really is the best dancer among, and his stage presence is insane, unmatchable, no wonder she's chosen despite having the shortest training among everyone. Because as yg said "the moment I witnessed Chiquita, I knew I have to include her in this project" 😊
The individual live performances on YG channel introducing the girls is a must watch.

No Teddy. Asa was one of the named credits as composer and lyrics. YG led the production himself.
Fun fact...Asa writes and received writing credits for the rap in "Batter Up".

The profiles contain info that's not fact but assumption. For example, 1-7 are announcement orders not ranks. Yang did say Pharita looks like she came straight out of Disney BUT not because 'she's photogenic.' I don't remember anyone in the program said Asa is the group's ace - may be I just missed it tho😅
Kudos to YG for keeping their debut song age appropriate. IMO it was a wise choice to avoid a possible negative situation like New Jeans had with Cookie. I liked the song and performance and think they score a hit for their debut. Looking forward to many more bangers from Babymonster.
Great reaction video....Baby Monster is 5th Gen. **I think you might enjoy the group's pre debut videos. They will give you a better understanding of what these girls are capable . Be it here or on your own, you will enjoy the covers and live performances. Rora and Rami (Harem) are very R&B/Soul even. Pharita is a strong powerful singer. Chiquita is clearly an all-rounder. Ahyeon is definitely the ACE. The rappers, Ruka and ASA, are very hip-hop. Ruka performed a CLs song in her evaluation. ASA performed a Joyner Lucas cover of "Look Alive" (and even did Eminem's Godzilla during her early days of training. ) They also have BlackPink covers and dance performances (2NE1 mashup and chorography for "Jennie from the Block" live stage vocals by Jylo.

YG the owners of Blackpink and Baby Monster produce songs with lots of hidden messages and double meanings. In Batter Up if you read the lyrics and watch the video you think about Blackpink. This m/v and song lyrics is actually directed to Blackpink girls. The song is not a copy but a reference to Blackpink girls. It says sign and renew your contracts or watch your highly trained and super talented replacements take the opportunity to shine with or without you. Baby Monster girls were selected and trained over 6 years not as a copy but as replacements.
