My grandmother passed away a few weeks ago. It was one of the hardest days of my life. I have walked with God for almost 15 years. I loved her so much. It was only after she passed when I figured out why I loved her so much: she loved the way she did because God loved her - and in turn she wanted to love like Him. Your grandmother loved you the way God loved her. She wanted you to see God's love for yourself in your life. Our grandmother's love pointed us to the Father's love!
Maybe you should check out a local church, as a one time non believer/recovered drug addict. God saved me, and I know he can save you too. Your issue may not be drugs, and you may not really have an "issue." But nothing is better than the love of my savior, it's something I cant explain, but when you feel it, you will know it.

You can't expect God to work in your life if you don't give him the green light. You have to want help and want God for Him to be there and help you. He won't force us to do anything. Who here can say God changed their life? I was angry and full of hatred and wanted life to he ally way based upon my hurts and pain. This included Christians who treated me poorly. But God never gave up on me, was always there if i wanted to connect and when I turned to God everything turned out better than I ever imagined.
