@@jackskellington3545 bro the Raya movie is some bottom of the barrel sludge. Even if this movie looks visually inferior, story wise you can only go up. The dragons don't look like they were designed by the plushy marketing department anyway.
Some saying this movie is a knock-off from Raya and The Last Dragon 😭 And despite the fact that it has its own story book separate from Raya and The Last Dragon Sisu doesn't even look more of a dragon that I must say and this movie's dragon looks better
I read this book series when I was little. It was an interesting series that taught a lot of interesting cultural elements, so I hope they don’t take all of that out. Also minor nitpick but I hope they keep the fact that the dragon sounds like crashing brass pots/chimes to those who don’t have the dragon keeper gift, it was such a cool detail. It definitely looks like it’s taking creative liberties, which isn’t automatically a bad thing, but I hope it doesn’t take the things that made the story unique and interesting to make something generic and mass appealing. Like look what happened to dragon rider’s movie.

As someone who has seen Raya but knows nothing about this, which apparently has a book series, I can tell you that it is most definitely not the same story. In a nutshell, Raya is about collecting pieces of a broken gem. This gem was made by dragons to try to save their world but got broken into pieces when the varying tribes of the land started fighting over it, and each one took a piece. Mind you, the infighting basically caused the problem the dragons tried to solve in the first place. This one the other hand seems to be about special people tasked with protecting dragons against those who would misuse them.
Definitely seems like it might be the level of make the story more generic and mass appealing and only somewhat be based on the book series. Although it looks like it’s more faithful to the book than how to train your dragon was to its(which was basically just using the names of characters and vikings and nothing else in common). Hopefully the movie still keeps what made the book series interesting.
I love how they keep making worse looking movies, will I watch it probably I'm desperate for more dragon content even if the quality keeps getting lower😢
@@catyhell724 never said that. I said it looks like Disney would have done something like that. And not all animation belongs to Disney. You have Netflix, Universal, Warner bros, Japan and so on.
First Eragon, than Dragon Rider, now this. At least how to train your dragon was good even though it had nothing to do with the original book. Next I bet they are gonna make a Dragon Slippers movie, or a Age of Fire movie.

I enjoyed the original novel(s) by Carole Wilkinson, and by the look of it, the film adaptation will be enjoyable as well.
I'm glad they're finally making a movie of this book series. Danzi was one of my favorite Chinese dragons as a kid.

There's actually a book series with a similar name and plot. This is a little different.
Ah, yes, Dragonkeeper by Carole Wilkinson. Those were good ones. She wrote this film too, you know.

An Asian version of How To Train Your Dragon. Cool
Well that’s more the sequel to this book. The first book is more like the reverse, how to train your dragonkeeper.
Okay this one kind of reminds me of Disney Ryan and The Last Dragon meets Dreamworks How to Train Your Dragon ?
I've read the second book from this series.
Wish Danzi was a little more green in this trailer, though.
why is looks like is made last decade 2010s
DreamWorks animation. I wish.
dragonkeeper is just a piece of nostalgia
Cool! I'll enjoy watching this!❤
Okay, so the animation looks off, but I care more about the story, and I think it could be interesting. The trailer gives away too much though.
much better designs than raya, no elsa faced dragons
