Never ceases to amaze me the corners some people will cut to get through a job. You're in there... do it once... do it right. The 4-link mounting was already on its way to a nasty failure.. thank goodness you caught it before you started putting a lot of power to the ground. 🤜
Great job as always. I think what I like best about all your cars is the subtle details and the decided lack of "look at me, look at me" attention getting bling. Simply beautiful vehicle.
Such a dope channel. I like that Chris does content on things he actually likes and not just builds for the audience. Its very authentic and genuine 🙌🏾
FYI, your rockers are your frame channels. But it doesn't hurt to have subframe connectors. I also hope you lubricated the crap out of those urethane bushings with silicone grease. If not they will creak like crazy
Really an interesting and fun video to watch, I really look forward to each and every video Chris makes! Can’ t wait for the next one. Nice way to overcome a unibody car, I sure like his thoroughness and attention to detail to get his mods, etc. done. Regards,, JMF
Great job! You are absolutely right about doing the suspension upgrades. In 1970 I owned a 69 Nova SS with a 396 at about 475 HP with a 411 gear and after about a year on the street with only a few races I began to notice wrinkles forming near the C pillar and one point a side rear window fell down into the body.
Man that’s crazy how they installed the 4 link just goes to show you want sumthing done rite you gotta do it urself Lol car looks and sounds awesome Chris
Chris, take the Heat wrap off the stainless headers. It reacts and pits the metal. Can trap moisture especially down by collectors. Cam generally achieve the same heat protection by sending them to Jet-Hot. Downside is they won't look stainless anymore. Love the build
Just gotta say, you and I have similar styles/interests in cars/mods. Damn near every car and mods you have and done I also have or have done as well. 69 pro touring is on my bucket list. Currently building a bagged big block F100 so once that’s done I’ll keep an eye out for a 69. Keep up with the awesome work so I can live vicariously through you 😂
Subframe connectors and large sway bars was one of the best things i ever did to my LSA supercharged nova…….i got the same bolt in connectors ….they work great…in my opion at least!!!
Chris you may have mentioned this in another video but curious what your day job is. I don't want to assume a GM master tech but it does come to mind. Absolutely love your channel man and everything that you do👏🏿👏🏿
Awesome content and great execution - finding someone else's lack of detail is very frustrating but it is a great thing you spotted it - Well Done - Subscribed!
Found your channel about a week or so back, and love the content you put out. Entertaining, informative and fun to watch the projects come together. Great work!
Nice build. Also, rivnuts aren't exactly waterproof. That said, I usually paint the freshly drilled holes and seal around rivnut flanges with seam sealer before I install them.
Yep, a little body seam sealer to install the rivnut wet. Then some sealant on the threads is typically good enough to thwart ingress. Typical procedure for rivnut assembly in aircraft panels as well.
Awesome job on the video man! Super cool meeting you today at Dan and Michaela’s wedding! We had a great time photographing it. I would love to photograph your cars someday if you’re down!
GREAT FIND CHRIS ! IT COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS TO YOUR BAD ASS 69 !!! ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU BEAT ON IT HARD !! GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE & VIDEO !! HAVE FUN HITTING IT HARD !! JESSE VIA LAS VEGAS
Fantastic job as always ... love all your cars and the job you also do on the on es you don 't keep! It's amazing what people will do to save a little time and effort to not do the job the right way.
You never want to use grade 8 bolts on suspension. Grade 8 doesnt have the tensile strength they will break being worked back and forth. Should use grade 5. Car looks great keep it up.
That was a beautiful job on installing the full link I have a 69 firebird I'm thinking on doing the same thing might need a little guidance on installing the 6.2 LS I have
You built it bro. Masterpiece. Well done. 👍 PS. Absurd how irresponsible the previous builder was. to not install with Riv nuts. Word up to Riv nut installers. Be mindful that too much lever force by the high leverage beefy insertion tool to get maximum expansion of the Riv nut body aka interference fit to the frame, can spoil the thread by excessive axial force. Basically the thread is what pulls on the Riv nut against its top flange to compress/mushroom it to the frame. Too much force....Chris is a strong boy...can damage the thread and then you are stuck with a Riv nut bonded to the frame with a spoiled thread. So don't use too much force to secure the Riv nut. Other thing I do is use 2 part epoxy between Riv nut and frame during the installation process for increased bonding strength at reduced level pressure to preserve best thread which also negates corrosion between Riv nut and frame.
Chris, you are VERY talented! Although this was just an install video, it was awesome to see and even learn a bit. Love the content you're putting out. It's very entertaining and even informative. Keep up the good work!
FYI, do not use an impact to tighten or loosen bolts in a rivnut. The hammering from the impact will cause it to spin in the sheet metal and then you are screwed! Ask me how I know.
Hey Chris, I need you to take my 2011 C6 Base, turbo it and ad some of your magic to it! I'm so so very serious! Thanks for all of your detailed and awesome videos. I'm serious about you doing the work on my Vette if you're willing....
Can you imagine how many cars have been done like that before. Glad you found it before something bad happened to you. Also new follower…. Love your content keep ‘em coming cause I’ve been catching up.
I cut small access holes on frame sides (where you can) and use nut and bolt. Much stronger then rivnut. And add big washers. Like any new hitch is attached to new SUV’s with thin unibody rails.
I am currently installing a Ridetech full coilover suspension system in a 1969 Z28. I happened to run across your video and was curious what suspension upgrades you were talking about in the video description. Dude I am really glad you found those bolts pulling out of the rear support cage. That could have been catastrophic if you didnt find that. I used the nutserts plus driller 8 extra 3/4 holes and put rosette welds in those. I wanted to do a install video but im not an editing master lol. Ive tried it in the past but I sound like a Russian news reporter in voice over. Great video and beautiful build.
Hey, Chris, I’m so impressed with your abilities, I have to ask…are you a full time mechanic? Forgive me if this question has already been answered. But at the very least, your videos are so enjoyable to watch, I’m surprised you don’t have 10 million subscribers. Hope this question is not too intrusive, but I can’t see how you’re not professionally trained. Thank you for your great content.
Nice 69 Camaro. I also have a 1969 Camaro that I started my build back in 2014. With new tech. that came out in the last ten years I would do it different. #1 I would remove body off of old sub frame and remove differential. Drop body down on a Roaster Shop chassis. Roaster Shop chassis are great, come with complete suspension and brake kit, differential. All this you can custom order to your own specs. #2 Drop in a LS6/525 hp crate engine.
Man i feel yah! I always find something a previous guy did to a car i bought or brought one of my cars to thats a hack job or they got lazy hoping i wouldnt find it...
That 4 link setup from ridetech is the older version.. I’m just getting to put mine (70 nova) on after sitting on it for a couple years. Looks like the new and updated one comes with a different mounting procedure. Mine also doesn’t come with the tab that bolts from the inside of the car. Great video brotha.
Hey I have some Detroit Speed sub frame connectors and I have mini tub shocks all brand new for a first gen Camaro if you want them for the future. I sold my LS swapped 67 Camaro previous to actually installing them and have no use for them anymore. I am in Massachusetts.
Those notched bolts were included in these kits before the rivnuts where. They were in fact self tapping. I actually opted to use them instead of rivnuts as I ended up welding mine in and these pull frame in far enough to make it 0 gap. I wouldn't trust those or rivnuts for driving with any decent power being made.
I still don't understand why there are so few subscribers. Well done. Just keep going like that. I enjoy relaxing videos like this. 🚗
I agree! Chris gets down on some wrenching!
Right!!!! This guy is freakin Awesome!
Yeah, Chris is the American Mat Armstrong (if you don't count Tavarish), plus his Corvette would smoke Mat's Gallardo
Good call to add that backing plate / bar - It amazes me at the "hackery" of some people. Great looking car BTW
I'd check the rest of the car after this. What a freaking rig job they did!!
If you’re editing your videos yourself you do a great job.
I am! Thanks
Freaking car is a dream! Congrats man. You can see through the camera, that feeling of accomplishment!
Never ceases to amaze me the corners some people will cut to get through a job. You're in there... do it once... do it right. The 4-link mounting was already on its way to a nasty failure.. thank goodness you caught it before you started putting a lot of power to the ground. 🤜
I wish all builders were HALF as particular as you are bro.
This channel is SO underrated
Great job as always. I think what I like best about all your cars is the subtle details and the decided lack of "look at me, look at me" attention getting bling. Simply beautiful vehicle.

Just in time for my lunch break
Mine too
Man that’s crazy how they installed the 4 link just goes to show you want sumthing done rite you gotta do it urself Lol car looks and sounds awesome Chris
Your videos give such great motivation to finish my build, keep up the great work. 👍👍🏁🏁🏁

It’s not surprising!
Great catch !!
You just saved your self a lot of heartache …..

I have to say,I really like your work, your a lot better than a good mechanic!!!💯
Badass CAMARO the year i was born. I most definitely will be following this build i subscribe great content stay lit.
It’s so cool to see someone doing things the right way! Awesome content!
Found your channel about a week or so back, and love the content you put out. Entertaining, informative and fun to watch the projects come together. Great work!
Impeccable work as always. The car sounds great.

I like your garage setup, as well as your cars. Still miss the red Vette. 😀
Great content & editing as usual !!!
Hey nice car Chris you putting in alot of work your house would be the hangout man cave 😂
Your attention to detail is superb. I definitely would feel comfortable with you working on my car. Hats off to you. Love your channel.🍻🫡🏁🏁🏁🏁
Love the sound. Crispy
I can see that sub count climbing. You deserve more recognition man. Thanks for the content.
Love that he does all his own work
Awesome job on the video man! Super cool meeting you today at Dan and Michaela’s wedding! We had a great time photographing it. I would love to photograph your cars someday if you’re down!
Great meeting you too man! Hopefully see ya around the car scene this summer!
The ridetech kit don't come with riv nuts. That bar was installed that way according to their instructions. The best way is to weld it on.
Another amazing video. So knowledgeable...
shifting with left because right is busy... classic...
Gotta multi-task
Beautiful Ride! This is my Dream car / project.
GREAT FIND CHRIS ! IT COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS TO YOUR BAD ASS 69 !!! ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU BEAT ON IT HARD !! GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE & VIDEO !! HAVE FUN HITTING IT HARD !! JESSE VIA LAS VEGAS

That car looks and sounds amazing. Enjoy!

Freaking awesome job Chris, love the sound
Looks very similar to the Hotchkis frame connectors I have. One of the best things I did on my Camaro.
You're a legend bro ...
Chris, you are VERY talented! Although this was just an install video, it was awesome to see and even learn a bit. Love the content you're putting out. It's very entertaining and even informative. Keep up the good work!
Looks like you corrections to the rear were correct and well executed.
Wow You Can Build My Dream Car Any Day ! Fantastic Skills !
Yet again, you have done some very nice work.
I don't think ridetech has ever used riv nuts. Not in the lsst 2 kits ive worked witj. I would just weld together.
What a great job Chris !
Another great video - excellent job...can't wait for the tub installs.
Keep up the great work and the videos with the good theme music! 👍👍👍👍
Just keeps getting better 🎉!
Beautiful classic and amazing wrenching work
Love this build 🔥🔥🔥
FYI, do not use an impact to tighten or loosen bolts in a rivnut. The hammering from the impact will cause it to spin in the sheet metal and then you are screwed! Ask me how I know.
Glad i found your channel, good content man! Thank you
OMG, those bolts they used on the four link are self tapping (cut/rip their own threads)
My absolute dream car perfectly built
Wow, great eye for detail on that rear subframe. Good video as always.
Hey Chris, I need you to take my 2011 C6 Base, turbo it and ad some of your magic to it! I'm so so very serious! Thanks for all of your detailed and awesome videos. I'm serious about you doing the work on my Vette if you're willing....
Love your channel so much waited for a new upload to watch the whole thing keep it up

Much appreciated 🤝

Chris can you put a link for the stainless exhaust tubing and mufflers you got, I want to use the same one for my LS3 Nova.

I will forever champion Chris's videos as my favorite on RUclips.
God I wish I could afford to build something like this. Amazing car.
Damn that thing sounds awesome great job so far love it!✌️
Stay left and head 50 miles north to my house lol great job Chris
Freaking love this channel!!
Good eye for catching that BS awesome car👍🏻
Great work. Do your reverse lights work?
What reverse lights lol
Man i feel yah! I always find something a previous guy did to a car i bought or brought one of my cars to thats a hack job or they got lazy hoping i wouldnt find it...

At 6:00 with the hood not closed would you consider a thin hood scoop that stretches the width of the hood only couple inches high.
One day bro, my dream to have a collection like you have🙏🏼 we have very similar tastes
Enjoyed the content 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I did not see back up lights. Also, did you hook up the speedo?
Hey I have some Detroit Speed sub frame connectors and I have mini tub shocks all brand new for a first gen Camaro if you want them for the future. I sold my LS swapped 67 Camaro previous to actually installing them and have no use for them anymore. I am in Massachusetts.
No shit? Where at?
@@ChrisSullivan69 I am just south of Boston. Raynham/Taunton area.
Such a nice car!
Awesome video 🔥🔥
Beautiful!
