Your better off using balanced mode with high fan speeds and using x86 utility for undervolting. The custom side of razer software just sends more power to the chip set it doesnt raise the clock speed and it throws your fans into auto so u have no control over cooling really it just goes to its heat limit before it engages fans speeds to where they need to be. You get higher ghz in balanced with max fans speeds than in custom mode bc of thermals. I recommend upgrading your thermal pads on your vrms bc they scream hot in these bc of the cheap cooling pads on them. Better thermal paste on the cpu helps too (heat spreads through the laptop to whatever is cooler). Balanced mode will push the system just fine. I use a razer blade 2021 14 inch with a ryzen 9 and a rtx 3080. Im hitting 4.67ghz across my cores while gaming instead of the 4.2 it throttles at bc of high custom mode. I go from 80 avg fps in forza horizon on med settings with no ray tracing to 110 avg with high settings and ray tracing on medium in 2k resolution. They use a vapor chamber on the cpu and gpu. Custom mode with make the skin tempature above the keyboard so hot u wont want to even touch it. Cooling is better on these laptops over all for performance. Keeping all the components on the motherboard cooler makes this laptop perform so much better. While it will show your not hitting the 100c limit on the cpu its still causing performance issues on other parts of the motherboard. If u can keep this laptop around 80c on the most intense games u will see what i mean. The 2023 razer blade 18 laptop can hit 5.5ghz. My 2021 is pushing 145mhz to the gpu core clock and 250mhz to the mem clock with a -10mlv undervolt on the gpu. -14mlv on all cores on the cpu. I realize the 14 inch is smaller and such as follows so is the cooler. Same design still and software works the same. Balanced mode acts more like and auto clock and will reach the highest potential of the laptop. They lack motherboard options for overclocking so u gotta work around that to the best of your abilities.

What's numpad for? The only use case I ever had for it was playing ADOM. Other than that I use numbers above the keyboard, but I'm not an accountant. I personally have never considered buying a laptop with a numpad because it means shifting keyboard and touchpad off center.
@@urulooke I work as an analyst/in finance, so it's essential for excel work especially. Basically anything involving numbers, a numberpad is absolutely essential, & on 18" laptops there's simply no excuse to not have a full size keyboard, considering that most people buying an 18" laptop are doing so for a desktop replacement, which usually means they'll work from it too.

i wish it wasn’t so expensive
That " I love you like la la la la la la la la laaaa" song is rediculous horrible
i think the blade 18 has the best speakers for a windows laptop but a macbooks speakers can easily beat it
correct
Cpu pulling ~40w in time spy. I consider that broken. So sustained GPU and CPU load is useless. Come on man!
You got a golden sample, that is an extreme undervolt.. real world speeds would be 500mhz lower for most of us.
With rtx 4090
We are waiting for 4070 laptop. Since internet is flooded with there poor performance.
I really think 4060/4070 are better value.
4080 performance is amazing, but if you're not gaming that much anyway & dont require ridiculous FPS, a 4060/4070 will definitely suffice for WAY less money.
Should be but let's put 4070 against 3070ti neck to neck. According to Jarrod they both perform same that means no jump in performance which switching generations.
Expensive $$$$
You still can't manage to show us Microsoft flight simulator, what a shame is the best game ever for millions not for you for sure
Check Scar 18 benchmarks. I tested it therr. Performance will be in the same ball park
This thing seems like a waste of money with the Intel. The AMD cpus are so much more efficient and get less hot.
That skin is awful lol
Second
I laughed so hard with the stickers behind the skin. I would probably make the same fcked up mistake thats why 🤣🤣 Can only imagine the reaction after trying to fit that skin perfectly and then you just realizing you forgot to remove the stickers 😂
Yeah, I derped hard on that one
no numberpad on an 18 inch laptop... absolute jokers.
@@WildfireX Now that makes perfect sense! I actually have a similar complaint about those 18" laptop designs, but going in another dimension - why don't 18" 16x10 notebooks have a 7th row of keys for dedicated multimedia keys, having to choose either multimedia or function keys to require a Fn press. I actually still use software that requires function keys and having to press Fn for them or multimedia keys is not great. I think in the past multimedia keys were often separate, at least on keyboards.
