First-time mom & her two infants | Meet Bambi & Breeze 🍼❤️ 2024 Babies

- What a pleasant surprise! 🥰 First-time mother Emily finds herself navigating uncharted territory, tasked with the responsibility of caring for not just one, but two adorable babies.
My initial impression was that Emily had given birth to twins. AM subsequently enlightened me that this is actually another case of adoption - Emily had adopted another baby (presumably Bambi), yet the identity of Bambi's mother remains a mystery to me.
No not true!!! The lady narrating the video says EMILY Iis a young first time mom.
@@teresaminton4874Monkeys is the narrator. This kind of monkey doesn't have twins. One is hers one is adopted.
Although rare, they do have twins!
"The birth of twins to rhesus and Japanese macaque monkeys has been reported, but the probability of twins is extremely low (0.027% to 0.21%)." Cited in: Comp Med. 2012 Feb; 62(1): 69-72. Published online 2012 Feb.
So _just maybe_ they both are hers!?
They are cute as buttons all the same (and _to me_ they look as if they could be biological twins). Thanks for the video, MC!
🇸🇪
ETA: In fractions the figures translates to (approx) one in every 5000 to one in every 500 birtths!!!
@teresaminton.
WHO is the "lady" narrating the video? 😂. I've heard narration in these video's be complete nonsense! Why would the channel, "pin" a comment that is "not true" and completely without credence. They wouldn't....
@a2Flisa.
Imagine a monkey mom weening 2 babies at the same time ? 😲
It's no longer a question if they are twins. It has already been determined that one is "not" her offspring but an adoption. The question IS who was Bambi's mom ? You'd think observing this troop in Hong Kong one would notice a mom missing that had been pregnant ? 👍🏼🤔
I can’t express just how much I enjoyed watching this video, to see Emily with TWO babies, twins, or not, was incredible. Emily is clearly devoted to them both, each was feeding from her, they both obviously accept her as Mum. If Breeze is adopted then Emily is truly a treasure, to take on an abandoned infant is rare, and these two are obviously thriving, so her care is excellent! I hope they continue to do well, and thank you for a wonderful video
ME TOO!!!
These monkeys have the most beautiful babies.😊
The babies are especially cute. The adults not so much. I think pig tails are the best looking adults.
I love the vervets, very striking primates with a long tail.
Yes they do
Rhesus macaques, Japanese macaques (snow monkeys)look similar but are a bit more fluffy and have shorter tails
I hope both little ones make it, and Emily has her little ones for years to come, her baby or not , she loves them both, and has undertaking a massive job . One that a human on there own would find hard , raising one is hard but two when your their only parent and provider is exhausting daily . Good luck Emily, and your two little ones .
And thank you monkeysinc for the films . beautifully done again.
That's why God gave her two nipples !
Speaking a a single mom to twin boys it was rough! So I tip my hat to Emily for raising twins on her own as a monkey might be tougher. My sons are now 34. ❤️
What a great story. It touched me in a special way since I am a mom of twin girls. Whether they are actual twins or not, they will be raised as twins and have that bond. Having two babies at once is the hardest job I have ever had but the most rewarding. I loved seeing my girls grow up together and the bond they have is beautiful ( They are 19 now and in college). Please keep us posted on the babies and Emily 🤗🤗💞💞

In case you don't already know, there's a macaque mom named Ameia who raised a set of "twins" (one biological and the other acquired under unknown circumstances, presumably bio mother died). The channel name is "JW" and he follows Ameia's troop. He doesn't post as often as AM or Monkeys Inc but he does great work (all three cover Monkey Hill macaques in Hong Kong).
In addition there's a channel called Kiyo who films snow monkeys in Japan. He/she used to mainly film them in a park area where the macaques and people congregate (changed jobs and now films completely wild monkeys deep in a forest). His older videos follow an alpha female who raised a set of twins.
If you want to find either channel, I recommend adding "monkeys" along with the channel name when you search YT ("JW monkeys" or "Kiyo snow monkeys" or similar). Otherwise both channels can be hard to find among many others with the same name.
I want to say Ameia and maybe also the snow monkey mom raised "twins" twice, but I can't remember for sure. Just mentioning all this in case you wanted to watch other twin content. I loved following their stories as they unfolded years ago. No worries of course if you don't have the time or interest!
I was close to tears about how honest raw and vulnerable this mom is during this new faze in life on her own. She's quite young to. ❤ I can only imagine how this story is touching for you. Much luv.

A first time mom with 2 babies? Wow! Amazing! I wish her and the little ones all the best!
Beautiful video i do hope and pray that Emily is able to continue to care and nurse two hungry babies, we know it will become more difficult as they grow. I wish the best for them and her. Also i wish the best for the other baby's birth mom i really hope she is okay and that nothing bad has happened to her. The boy Breeze is definitely bigger than Bambi is
What a wonderful monkey mother she is to care for the other infant as her own! Reminds me of when the mama cat we rescued - she had 4 of her own kittens but then we rescued two abandoned kittens and gave them to the mama cat who sweetly nursed them back to health and raised them as her own. God’s amazing creatures! ❤
That is so sweet! I just talked about all kinds of animals raising "adopted" babies in a separate post here.
CONGRATULATIONS EMILY!! Thanks for all you are doing! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Babies are so cute! I wish all three of them the best!
Those babies got quite a mango shower!
3:31 Bless her heart I'm so glad she's being fed well so she's able to produce enough milk for her 2 infant's. She's so young not to mention she's a first time mom and on top of that she has twins. Her plate certainly is full.
I think the feeders will make feeding Emily a priority.
It looks like all the babies have had a proper mango juice baptism.
😅 Do you think Emily is hungry? Lol
The orphan baby could not have found a better foster mom than Emily!!!
Ohhhh, not twins?
Giving birth is nature's way,
Adoption is God's way .
Emily has proven to be a fantastic mother . Being a first time mom to her little one & choosing to love & nurture another moms baby when she wasn't able to.✝️God Bless Your Sweet Family Emily! ❤
@@krischambers9021yes twins. Doesn't anybody listen to THE NARRATOR????
They are not twins.. do your research
@@terraorourke732 what a ridiculous remark🤔
What a difference in their temperament with no obnoxious cameramen
Who do you think is filming them, if not a cameraman ?
@@p.e.p2368There’s a cameraman but the person is not obnoxious.😊
This is not Cambodia! Only people filming are caring, loving, helpful people. Watch more videos and find out before you comment😊
@@sandrabentley8111 Hello Sandra, I think there has been a misunderstanding here.
@krischambers9021 only wanted to express with her statement that the cameramen there film very cautiously. That's how I understood her.
As far as Cambodia is concerned, I can only agree with you, but you should also differentiate here. I assume you are referring to Angor Watt. Most of the cameramen there are to be criticised in the strongest terms, but there are also a few cameramen who look after the welfare of the monkeys there.
Unfortunately, we are very quick to generalise.
Have a nice Sunday.
If there were no camera people we wouldn’t have videos to watch.
Both babies are beautiful! She's doing fine so far and I think Emily will be just fine raising those two. When they get wild and active, and her trying to wrangle them in might be a chore and fun to watch. Also another thing that will be fun to see is the weaning period. If she adopted one, I'd be willing to bet that the smaller one "Bambi" is Emily's natural born daughter. We might never know for sure, the boy maybe hers as well. We have seen twins on Monkey Hill before, although pretty rare.

@@user-yd9vj4vy6vI agree. The smaller cub will easily be nudged away from a tit and will begin to go hungry.
@@smc130 no will. IS
Wow, and Mom is ravenous, just wow, beautiful, and quite rare❤ I hope nobody gets kidnapped
MC, this is a beautiful video! So glad to have you back, and thank you for sharing Emily & her babies with us!
I doubt both are her biological babies. More than likely a mom got killed by a car or something happened to her and she took the other one to raise. Just like Ameia in the Parking Lot Troop back in 2020. Ameia had Brio and adopted Dario. Nursed, weaned and raised to adulthood both boys like they were both hers.
EMILY HAD TWINS... 2 BABIES. BOTH HERS. AND I WILL TELL YOU WHY. NO MONKEY MOM TAKE ANY OTHER BABY TO RAISE AS HER BABY. ALSO I ONE OF THOSE BABIES IS NOT HERS... THAT BABY WOULD BE SCREAMING FOR ITS OWN MOTHER!!!
@@teresaminton4874you are wrong. And all caps doesnt make it true. Do some research. It has NEVER been scientifically proven that macaques give birth to twins. In captivity or on the wild. Macaques only have single births, never twins.
@@TLRing Yes, it has, although rare!

I remember Amelia and the boys.
Sometimes a mother dies and a baby is adopted by a another nursing monkey. Its happened on monkey hill.
Wow! A young first time mom willing to adopt and raise two babies is selfless and precious! Those babies are too cute! ❤
She DID NOT adopt a second baby!!!!!!! She had TWINS!!! The lady here WHOSE CHANNEL VIDEO WE ARE WATCHING...SAW THAT LITTLE MOMMY IN LABOR . AND SHE SAW THE BIRTH OF BOTH BABIES!!!! Little Momma is OKAY and her TWINS are doing AMAZINGLY. BOTH ARE NURSING. BABY ON THE LEFT IS A BOY. QUITE BIGGER AND SEEMS TO BE INTERESTED IN THE THE WHOLE WORLD. BABY ON THE RIGHT SIDE IS A BABY GIRL.. SHE IS FIRMLY ATTACHED TO THE MILK BAR. Now I just wish that the misinformation would stop. People who write these comments need to actually view the whole video BEFORE they start commenting. Thank you all... Have an EPIC day.
@@teresaminton4874No hun, these are not twins. One is adopted. Very very common among these primates. Take care.😊
@@teresaminton4874Oh, and also, you are lying. The woman who owns this channel has very clearly said that no one witnessed the birth. So why would you make up such a story?😅 Very childish. Just enjoy the video and stop giving misinformation. Thanks! 👋
@@bekahe4433 yeah but do we know who the extra
baby/babies mom is? Either some other mom died. OR... Two other moms died...
@@teresaminton4874 Maybe we'll never know. If by some incredibly rare chance she birthed two different aged babies, then Natural Geographic would be heading straight to Hong Kong lol.
It's obvious how difficult it is to provide milk fit two babies. She's absolutely ravenous!!❤❤❤
How precious they are! Thank you for sharing!
Jill’s baby is definitely top 3 of the cutest baby monkeys. Beautiful twins as well! I wonder if she birthed both of them or if one was adopted.
Jill’s baby is indeed incredibly cute !
Wow I was waiting to see twins on Monkey Hill!! You are so lucky to meet them! I am so glad i.get to watch them!! Thanks so much for sharing, I am tikeled pink!!!
Not actual twins. One is adopted
Probably NOT twins she said. Listen again.
Bambi is definitely the younger of the two and doesn’t resemble Emily as much as Breeze does. I would be keeping an eye out for a mom monkey with milk and no baby and might be watching Emily and/or staying close to her. Or for a missing female monkey. The strength that Emily is showing is unmatched. Absolutely incredible.
I had the exact same thought
EXACTLY what I was thinking !! ( I guess it's an extremely simple observation if one thinks about it, Lol !!) There has to be a pregnant monkey mom missing from the troop.
Мать маленького детёныша может быть убита или она в другой стае
@KkaitlynN13 ~ It appears that Emily is nursing both babies. That is highly unusual. Females will adopt another female's baby, but it's extremely rare when they let that baby nurse.
@@TinyHyena1967 yes but it’s even more rare for the birth of twins from a rhesus macaque and especially her first birth.
I hope we get to see these “twins” again. Emily is a great mom.
4 being a first time mom & adopting another lil one..darrrrn, Emily is an amazing momma!!❤ She's over protected. The way she holds both babies, eat, fetches 4 food, without letting her lil ones go.. Beautiful babies she looks like she is a good mom
Salut salut.
poor mummy she's starving& exhausted no doubt with her beautiful twins
There doesn't seem to be anither female following her, wanting her baby back, and the baby is clearly rooting and nursing. Her birth baby looks well fed and alert. Looks like a happy ending to me!

It is possible they are twins its rare but happens. But it is also possible one was in need.
It's never been scientifically proven in the wild or captivity of Macaques giving birth to twins. They will occasionally adopt another monkey's baby and raise it along with hers. Amelia was a great case study for that. But they only have single births.

MC, isn't there a member of Car Park troop who raised two babies (adopting one) once or twice? If memory serves, AM has a little footage of that. She was older and more experienced. Emily being so adept and caring as a first time mom is absolutely incredible.
Shes gonna have her hands full when weaning time comes.
My thoughts precisely !!!
Hi MC. I just love your videos!!!
Twins?!?! Oh my goodness!! ❤️❤️
Not twins, one she adopted.

The babies are so precious!
Jill’s baby is one of the CUTEST babies ever ! Can’t stop looking at him/her !
Jill’ s has those adorable elf ears. So cute.
Kiyo, who documents the snow monkeys of Japan, had been following Tokkuri00. Tokkuri00 is the alpha of the troop and has raised 2 babies on several occasions.
The two babies have identical shape to their ears, and they also math the mother's shape of ear ... I think that they may well be twins!
Or cousins? I searched the Wiki site and Emily wasn’t listed.
0:45 Now that is such a precious thing to see. She has very beautiful little one's and it's absolutely adorable how she's hiding her extra mango with her feet.
Twins or 1 being adopted... it doesnt matter to her, those are both her babies
Adorable
These babies are beautiful ❤️
The narrator has a beautiful voice. I love listening to your soft voice. Very nice….
5:10 this lil one is very sweet 😍🐒🍼
Congratulations, Emily, on raising two little babies! 🐵😁 I'm sure that Bambi is adopted; wonder who her real mother is and what became of her?
As far as I know, macaques very rarely give birth to twins, so that's probably not the case here.
♥️🐒🐒🐒🇬🇧
Adorable those cute little baby faces.
This was a nice video. Sweet music which was very calming. The only thing bad was at the end there was bread scattered, they shouldn't be eating that, otherwise it was delightful ❤😊❤
В первый раз вижу , такую заботливую мамочку, среди этой породы, да еще один усыновленный.
I ❤ these adoption stories. Macaques often take abandoned or orphaned babies and nurse/raise them as their own.
Thanks for explaining who's who and wat they are doing
I was born 1984 and it’s now 2024. WOW time flies without knowing it! I’m now 40 yrs old..do the math?.
They are adorable !
Absolutely... Until they're not ! 👍🏼😂
Adorable babies
5:36 Such an alert infant she has and it's so cute with it's fur slicked back due to the mango bath.😅😅
The smaller one is a female, the larger one is a male. These are not twins, only one of them belongs to the mom, that is the female, the smaller one of the two. Sadly, the mother of the larger one had abandoned him. Pull up the video that ARROZ posted of them, then you will understand.
You can tell the one on the left is younger because it's not attempting to move away from her yet. That's most likely hers.
I read the opposite: the left one is not fighting for milk and is looking outward for its mother. The right one is trying to pull the other one by the hair to prevent it getting the precious milk bar...
At least these babies are not dressed in clothes and made to warm upright.
Which troop was baby Charlotte from? Her mom have anymore and raise?
AM suggested they were only a week apart in age. That’s one sweet female. When I saw her color (Emily) I noticed she was much lighter in color than most. More like Buttercup with that lighter golden hair. Glad to hear she’s Nora’s girl. She’s already a champ among the new mamas. Glad they are getting extra nutrition to the lactating ladies. This gal needs “a hamper” for sure!
Thank you for feeding them!
Well this is an interesting scenario. I wonder if the other baby is a family member's baby and something happened to her? This is a lot for Emily to take on for sure.
Those 2 kids got a Mango Shower. LOL...She ate so fast she had the hiccups. So did they both make it? I would think this video is from several months ago. Would love to hear the outcome.
Wow 🥰🥰🥰 What a beautiful video. A mother monkey with two twin babies. 😍🩷🩷🩷
This is a miracle, two healthy babies. Hi all 👋🏻
Does Emily have sisters? How old do they look?
Only 0.3% of old world monkeys have twins.
Whatever the case I want to see this weaning take place. It should be interesting.
Mango scented baby shampoo! So trendy.
Bambi is my real government name on this card!😅
Kakva divna majka❤❤❤
Twins are possible in Rhesus Macaques though very rare. If it's not a positive conclusion that she has adopted one then they may very well be twins.
Emily loves her babies! They are beautiful. Cant wait to watch them grow up. It looks like she is an awesome Mom.
Thanks for this beautiful video.
She is so hungry.. burning all the extra calories protecting 2 babies and they are going to start to stress her out by fighting for milk then down the road is weining
Диво дивное, приняла❤❤❤❤❤❤
What exactly makes you think she took another baby under her wing? Could the birth mother have abandoned it like little Charlotte was?
@@teresaminton4874 yes she is feeding both of them, but did she give birth to both or did she adopt one of them? Maybe you understand my comment now.
2 Sweet!❤❤❤
Is the "twin" identified as a male Bambi or Breeze? Just curious! This is SO FUN, a set of "twins" again (in quotes to indicated they're not actually biological siblings but are being raised as twins). My grandmother was named Emily, a truly amazing woman (not many women born in 1903 got a college degree in the 1920's!) and my sister's name is Laura so it's a little extra exciting to me that this family is now raising twins. Kudos to first time mom Emily, she looks like she knows what she's doing.
I'll never get over the power of the maternal urge. I watch a LOT of animal videos even though AM and this channel are literally my favorite things on the whole internet. Anyway, I've seen horses and owls and all kinds of other animals raise an adopted child when they took or were given an infant right around the time they gave birth themselves, those hormones are strong. I especially love the videos where one species willingly raise the young of a completely different type of animal, lots of examples of this.
Baby season is upon us, hooray! And happy Memorial Day to my fellow Americans (not sure "happy" is the right word but you know what I mean...).
I hope Emily continues to get enough food to produce enough milk for them both. It’s hard enough to rear one baby never mind two!
We will see in a few weeks if she has the strength Ameilia did raising 2 infants to yearlings and beyond.
❤可愛い💕💕💕❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Молодая мама, ей надо кушать чтобы было молоко для двоих деток!
Умница мама и детки красивые👍🙏
As a young mother, will she have enough milk for both the babies?
Good question, I’m wondering the same thing. I’ve never thought about, does the mother’s body create more milk if there are twins?
And if that’s happens will Emily have a struggle feeding two? We need a monkey OBGYN.
The mom normally will produce for both. And check this out. The breast that her male nurses will produce a different milk content then the girl. I don't know how but I have read that it is true.
Here is another one. The Queen of a TROOP births more females than males.
No
Bambi looks to be at the very least a week to 10 days younger than Breeze.
