100% correct. They target break even stops. I trade the ES only, and it is a very efficient market, and this happens all day long. If you scalp, take of a portion of your position at X profit and move your SL to BE, 9 times out of 10, price returns to the SL, pierces the SL by 1-tick, and goes where you think it's going to go. If one placed his SL 4-ticks (ES) below entry rather than BE, then one would get a runner 9 times out of 10. Simple concept but incredibly difficult to execute psychologically.
It took me almost two years to realize what you are blessing ppl with. Follow this mans advice. You will get paid. Shit I wish I had you two years ago.
People who succeed in the stock market also accept periodic losses, setback and unexpected occurrances. Calamitous drops do not scare them out of the game.

I use Pivot Points.
Over 3 yrs of testing different tools and methods I seem to be getting very comfortable basing my Trading around Pivot Points.
I dont fully understand Monthly Pivots as I've just to put them on, but it seems.price must always touch the Monthly Pivot.
The weekly Pivot provides me the understanding of Trend and Market Direction. I also set my weekly profit targets via the weekly s1, r1 levels
I use the daily pivots for my SL application and trail methods via the daily r1 and s1 levels... and a breakout of the daily r1, s1 levels usually confirm continuation of weekly trends or a change in market conditions.
I am also aware of where we are in week, early week entry times, end of week exit times..
I no longer look for anything anyone says on the internet, never done a course..
I worked from naked charts, testing different tools, developing my own understanding of market activity.. trading the way i want to trade..
Pivot Points cleared up alot problems, and has organised my trading to another level..
its now.. easy.. just got to make im there for the entry move.
I don’t agree with u. I’m sorry. Moving your stop to breakeven is not a bad thing. I will usually move my stop to breakeven and close some profits and let the rest run to my target

what if one loses there cell phone can they shut down a device and still use the same number again if they won something but cant find there phone or do they need to make a new forex trade account? and does money that you win with a lost phone number no good do you lose all the money and have to start over if thats the case im really curious because i lose stuff a lot?
Well first if you lose your phone you would have a password and so no one should be able to enter you phone.
Second, check your broker account to see if any trades were open after you last placed a trade. Whilst your there reset your password and log into your trading app with a different phone.
The worst thing someone can do is place trades however they’d need to pass through all your phone security to get to that stage.
Why did you target that liquidity pool ? You can't predict where and when the market could grab the liquidity from, so the trade could have led to a loss ... Also it was a down trend on H4/H1. Wouldn't have been more convenient to wait for the retracement/liquidity grabs before going for a sell instead of a buy ?

@@MHUFX everything seemed really random, plus the examples you were giving for how other people trade is not how they actually trade. It is a lot better than that and more simple. Everyone trades different, there is not a right or wrong if you know how to actually trade. You can be just as profitable if someone trades like you or the "retail traders" you talk about

Relax and learn. I suggest you get a tutor(mentor). The forex market can make you great fortunes or take your fortunes. You will need lots of patience, discipline and a good understanding of the market. You rush, you loose your money. Most of my loses are due to my impatience and indiscipline. ICT concepts are superb!!!!!!

It is all about liquidity pools, stop hunt zones. It's only been 10 months i been trading crypto and same thing happens.. So what i do. I check to see if the previous stops were taken out before entering my trades. Because if the previous stops haven't been taken out they will.

I understand literally everything except for the part where you knew which high you were targeting for your TP? Did you set that high as your target because it was at the beginning of the trendline?
don't go that far for targets. Use ICT fib levels and exit on one of those fib extensions. These are letterally ICT OTE patterns

You can mark up s/r on what ever time frame makes you comfortable…the lower the tf the more you’ll probably see more “false breakouts”…but those “false breakouts” on the higher time frame would end up being wicks…it all essentially shows the same thing…just use whatever time frameworks for you!
