Hi Danny, as per normal, the way you explain it makes it so much easier to take to the course. I played yesterday and with the various tips/drills you’ve given me my game is really improving. When I see lads on the course who are struggling, I always aim them to your channel. Keep it up Danny. 👍
Living in the most locked down City/State in the WORLD, Melbourne, I do needed to get back on this horse. Printed your lesson plan and headed to the range with key objective in mind. Came away happy with an approach I can work with when I get back out on the course ( in 2's of course, don't want to extend this 7 day lockdown, that won't end until it's passed 80 days!).
Danny, You da man!, I have been struggling with my driver all season. Shanking, hooking and topping. I watched this post and gave it a try...and wow!, every driver down the center of the fairway and I actually gained a good twenty yards! I highly recommend that everyone having a hard time keeping the ball on the short grass to give this a try. Thanks Wayne

Danny - coming from a person who hit a draw for 30 years, lost confidence in it last year, went to a fade and lost 20+ yards, this drill ( you did not mention it but that pull from the left side increases speed) coupled with your grip change video a couple of months ago ( my grip had wandered into a weak setting) is a game changer for me. Now I have a straight slight draw with added distance. Great video.
Well said in that exaggeration is key to learning/correcting. Love the boxing reference at the end to get the swing motion of trail arm/shoulder each way being under / under. Looking forward to this point being continued in the irons.
I love the enthusiasm that you teach with, even in the rain. Great tip and thanks again for all the great videos with excellent instruction that you provide.
Hi Danny. My name is Charles I am 74 and I started to play a par 3. 9 Hole course a couple of months ago and I scored a 45 on a par 27 course. Since I have watched your videos I have just parred the same course in 27 strokes. So I wish to thank you for your great tuition and keep watching your videos. Thank you again.
I have to add, Danny is providing literally the most effective common sense “feel” oriented training available on RUclips. If you suck at golf and really want to get to be a better player, follow what this guy tells you in his videos and your golf game will change dramatically. I didn’t actually suck, I was just very inconsistent. Danny’s instruction in these videos totally changed that in a VERY big way. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
@@DanielMaude, my pleasure Danny. I gotta tell you, I stopped listening to most online instruction videos because they were frustrating me big time (actually, they were pissing me off, lol). Instead, I did a whole lot of study on my own of what the correct swing looked like from so motion videos of pros because all the tips, tricks, and advice I was getting on here was so confusing. Folks would present a method or concept to help, show what they were talking about, and when they actually made their swing, what they suggested was not in that swing, lol!! Then I landed on a few of your videos, combined what I had already discovered together with your methods, and suddenly the transformation happened rapidly. Quite seriously, I want you to really know and appreciate that the practical presentation of your logical common sense methods in your instructional videos here on RUclips has totally changed my game in a tremendously positive way. I really can’t thank you enough and I have been sharing them constantly with anyone I can. When I do comment, I try my best to inspire others reading to take the whole concept of “feel” that you express to heart because you deliver simplistic methods that anyone can understand and embrace to make that consistent ball strike happen. To put it quite bluntly my friend, your sh*t WORKS, LOL!!! If what you show me can get ME of all people to share the advice, it definitely works. The only two online golf teaching methods that have made any real impact for me are Hank Haney and YOU. The only difference is that Hank stuck his hand in my pocket to give the advice when in reality the greatest impact came as a result of your methods. I should have paid you dang it, lol. 🤣🤣🤣 👍🏻😎👍🏻
I have finally, (after 5 years of playing recreational golf), been able to get my irons shots up in the air! Love how you teach, it make so much sense to me now! Wish I would have come across your channel sooner👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Thank you
Danny, you have been such a help to my game!! I have recommended you to many people. I love the way you explain things and you get to the point quickly.
I tried it on the range this morning. It clicked immediately! I could feel the club head speed increase without not much extra effort. Compression was better, shots were straighter. I think I was swaying on the downswing, and this somewhat corrected it. Thanks Danny for another piece of valuable knowledge!
You’re absolutely correct Danny, it’s funny that I’m watching this clip….. I was a big slicer and I started analyzing my swing by videotaping myself and I came to the conclusion that I had to do the exact opposite of what I was doing all along. I started doing the things you are mentioning like a week ago and now I hit draws and straight bullets. So It’s safe to say I can vouch for what you are saying is a 100% correct.
Always look forward to your videos Danny, explained in layman's terms that everyone can understand. Another great explanation, my buddy I play will be sent this as he's a perfect student for this drill 😉
OMG Danny, still not straight, but just hit 10 balls doing the 1st part and reduced slice and gained distance, thank you, old and novice, irons are good for most part, working on driver
Thanks Danny as a slicer I will go and try the exaggeration technique. The proof is in the students feedback . Richard loved it. Off for a practice 🏌️♂️
Thanks Danny as ever. I did buy an orange whip. It really helps a lot. And it also helps to do what your video today was describing. It won’t allow you to go “over the top” and it encourages you to complete to a full and correct finish.
Great video again Danny. Also the hand/wrist action you describe to square the clubhead through the ball is a lightbulb moment for me!!! Thank you that it so helpful!
Thank you so much Danny - I tried this today and it transformed my round! Went round in 104 which is a big deal for me easily knocking 5 off my previous best, and for the first time in my life hit a drawn shot. I’m going to watch all your iron videos next!
Hi Danny, thank you very much for another great video! Since finding you on you tube I was able to land a few pure drives and let me share with you, what a feeling, I was excited like a kid. You are God send!
Just tried this and have to say Danny, it's made a significant difference to my driver swing. Bug Big thank you for this! Built a bit of confidence on my driver swing now
You put out a similar video a little while back about trying to create resistance within the torso rather than going with the club and I tried it with a new driver (hadn't even used it at the range) and I didn't slice a single time through 18. Love your content. Thank you for helping simplify this incredibly complex game.
OK - I tried it and it really works. Thanks for this quick fix. Generally, it takes a little time and practice to get into a new (correct) position but this works instantly.

Great video. I saved in in my golf drills! I seem to be doing what you showed, but it seems that my club face doesn't close. I'm hitting the ball a ton, but it's going straight and to the right (no slice). I sometimes think I have too much tilt to the right, but now with your video I just think I don't have the closing of the club face down pat.
There was a device called a K-vest used in coaching which also taught crunch to the left in backswing and to the right in downswing. I wonder if the fault of a crunch to the left and head leading in downswing comes either from playing cricket or from being a natural left hander. It does seem to take conscious control and adaptation to manage this, and it is easy to relapse during a game. Great drill for doing so, thank you.
Nothing else has worked so I'll will try it. I have some reservations because it seems similar to a Nick Faldo tip about pointing your lead shoulder towards the sky. When I did, all I accomplished was to slam the driver head into the ground about 1.5 feet behind the ball :(
I naturally draw Danny but my mate always slices even to the point that if he ends on the left of fairway he finds it impossible to go for the green. I am sending him your link as I know he will appreciate it. I bet it works for him. Thanks mate.
