The changes to Lightspeed are the best thing any healer has ever gotten in this game. 15seconds of instant casts every 60 seconds(after the enhancement later on) with 2 maximum charges? That’s freaking HUGE
you must be reading my mind. i really wanted to pick up astro as my first healer but was waiting for you to make an updated video with it. i love that you go by level rather than what combos off of each other at level 100 like some other videos ive watched. thank you!
This is great timing for this video. I was just looking at your old astro vid yesterday, cause im thinking of giving it a try, but decided i would wait till an updated one came out lol
Astro has always been very obtuse for me. I just picked it up after DT and just got it to 50 today, but I was never quite sure what I was doing. This was very clear and helpful!
Best part of AST, sustain, sustain, sustain. The Regen status effect can absolutely out heal flat healing in general if done correctly, and AST can stack Regen up to about 3 or 4 times. Benefic -> Tank, Helios -> party, Celestial Opposition -> party, place yourself as close to the combat zone as possible without agroing and Collective Unconscious -> party. 3 to 4 Regen stacks on top of a 10% damage reduction to the whole party. Like I said, sustain, sustain, sustain. Lol always works for me, haven't had a party wipe yet thanks to that rotation. The best part is if you are quick enough you can card sling while doing this rotation.
i was able to get over my healing anxiety with whm but i really wanna get into ast and challenge myself. thank you for the guide. i am endgame but ast has always been intimidating to me.
Great updated guide! I love Astro and almost have it at 100, but it remains the one job where I need index cards to memorize all the nuances of their abilities. 😂
nice video especially as i'd say ast is the healer i was most unsure about when i unlocked it. Also didn't know they had a trait that sounds like it's a similar trap to freecure
My opinion on Synastry is pretty much the same as with Paladin's Cover. While the idea of the ability is good, I rarely actually use it. Sometimes I even forget I have Synastry in the first place. Maybe if I use it in a macro it could be more useful.
In regards to the note at 8:53 in the video, as of patch 7.05 (which was YESTERDAY by the way!), this is no longer a thing you need to worry about!

It's absolutely ludicrous and puts black mages and their measly triple cast to shame! Try this! SIX OF EM! 😁
Fantastic guide, this was so helpful. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
I hope you enjoy your journey with astrologian! 😁

Some say I am a bit of an astrologian in real life! 😉😂
I'm glad to hear that! Thank you! 😄
Oh hey, I was waiting for this vid! Looking forward to part 2!
I hope you found it helpful! 😄 It is quite different from endwalker astrologian certainly! 😊

I'm glad I got there in time! 😅😁

I'm glad to hear that my guide helped! 😄 Thank you!
I pretty much wait for your guides before I pick up any of the changed classes. Amazing as always!
I'm glad to hear that! Thank you so much, it means a lot! 😄

Well you shouldn't need to apply all those regen effects in a rotation unless they are outright necessary! 😊 But otherwise it is good advice!
I started off as a healer before I respec'd into a Paladin, now im using this video to get back into my old role
Interesting! I do hope you enjoy getting back into healing! 😁
i was able to get over my healing anxiety with whm but i really wanna get into ast and challenge myself. thank you for the guide. i am endgame but ast has always been intimidating to me.
I am sure you can do it!
Ast is a big challenge so it is understandable! 😊
Great updated guide! I love Astro and almost have it at 100, but it remains the one job where I need index cards to memorize all the nuances of their abilities. 😂
Thats understandable! Especially when they suddenly just add in some new cooldowns in the way of reworking the cards!
Honestly I haven't touched astro in like a year so even though I have it well above 50 I reckon I'll give this a watch
I'm glad to hear that! 😊
thanks! love your videos
Thank you! I'm glad to hear that! 😄

Yeah, enhanced benefic is, in my opinion, WORSE than freecure! At least freecure has a niche case... That never happens! 😅😂
Thank you shak!
I haven't played Astrologian since the latest patch but didn't 7.05 remove the shared timer between the different Plays? Referencing your note at 8:53
Aw shoot I forgot I put that note there! But yes, yes it did! 😂

Yeah indeed. Most of the times I've used it, it's ultimately been like as a 40% boost for one spell and that's it 😅
is AST doable with controller?
Of course, but it might be quite challenging! 😊
Thank you RUclips for placing this one right after the other video 🧎 so I can watch the updated guide
