OMG! I am sooooooo happy someone is talking about WOMAN RUNNING WITH WOLVES. My friend gave me that book, out of nowhere exactly when I needed it, and it changed my life! I couldn't take all that I learned into action right away, but I started to read more and more books like that, and now I am not even the same woman anymore. The female knowledge, the understanding of our path to growth and the advice we, as girls need to become a woman is something I only found in Jungian literature. I hope you can make this popular, because more women need this!

I haven't finished the episode yet so forgive me if you've mentioned this already, but as you're recommending this book to us, I want to recommend to you The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter. I studied it for my A Levels and had the best time. It's a collection of twisted short stories adapted from fairytales, and the main one (The Bloody Chamber) is a retelling of Bluebeard. It incorporates many of the themes you've discussed in this episode.
My favourite story in the collection, The Snow Child, is less than two pages long but somehow says so much.

you NEED to read Untamed by Glennon Doyle, it’s a similar concept about woman hood and growing up and sexuality. there are so many touching quotes in it. in the first chapter she compares herself to a wild animal she saw at the zoo, and how it longs for the wilderness outside of her cage, like how this book compares women to wolves. REALLY recommend if you like this book

Its honestly so gross how insecurity has lead people to talk this way, by demeaning people down to their sex you completely take a 3-dimensional person and reduce them to one singular trait and use EvoPhyc and eugenics to justify it. Its reductive to everyone.
