We own two Toyota Rav 4 Plug-in Primes. We gas up once every 6 months. Best automobiles we have owned. In hybrid we are getting 38-40 mpg. No turbo is also a plus. 0-60 in 5.8 seconds 40 miles of EV range.
Hi Eldon! Their scores are actually really close (overall only with a 2 points gap). In terms of reliability and owner satisfaction, the Honda scored higher than KIA so that is well within expectation. The only reason why KIA ended up higher is because of the road test score, aka how it drives. This is where the KIA scored significantly higher than the Honda, therefore making the difference in the overall score!
@@cedricjackson7521 5/60 and 10/100 warranty says they are reliable. No one else backs their products like that. Especially with the insane prices they want and people finance 7 years and out of warranty in 3.
@@eldonbeyea393 people's judge or they judge base on marketing, Honda is the Japanese car but marketing is lower than KIA and Hyundai of Korea, you know KIA car technology is getting from Mitsubishi heavy industry automotive technology design and engine spare part's
RAV4 Prime is much too expensive, when I bought a simple hybrid, which I really like, the dealer price on the prime was $70k, or twice what I paid. It is also a significantly more complex design.
CRV with a 1.5l engine is a joke. I don’t even include Honda in my research. It’s insulting to have that engine in a CRV with that price tag. They can keep them all, will never look at Honda ever again
Consumer Reports has never steered me wrong in over 30 years of their research. When I make my list of must have items in a new car, one item it must make Consumer reports “Recommended list” or it’s immediately eliminated from consideration.
I don’t think that you understand what relevant means. I sell Toyota and Kia and my wife sells Honda. The Sportage is nicer than both the RAV and definitely the CRV.
NO mid-size SUV deserves to be on the "Almost Prefect" list when they come equipped with a CVT "Trashmission" Vehicles that come with a CVT transmission are JUNK!!!

We have heard many similar sentiments on this SUV as well. We're glad you are enjoying it!
40,000 miles on my 21 Prime, absolutely love it!!
This video just reflects how relevant Consumers report has become placing a honda behind a KIA or Hyundai, they must think people are stupid

LMAO, Honda quality has fallen and the Koreans are killing it on reliability. Times change…….gotta accept that Honda isn’t what it used to be.
People buy Hyundai and Kia for the style. Not the reliability.

Prime is overpriced and overrated

The Rav4Prime will be unbeatable for a while.

Happy to hear this! That's why we trust them and think there are tons of value in their research as well.
The better of them is the Mazda CX5 and you don't talk about...😮😮😮
Don't get us wrong! We agree, just maybe consumer reports don't...
I LOVE my 2024 Ford Escape ST Elite! Buy American!!!
Toyota rav 4 hybrid for me No. 1 . Honda CR-V Hybrid No. 2
Check out 2025 Tucson. Vastly upgraded interior.

RAV4 is the best Hybrid on the Market.......
All of these models are compact SUVs, not midsized.
Hello! For simplicity’s sake we just followed how consumer reports categorize them. We ran into the same debate as well.

CR is irrelevant. No Mazda on list, lol.
This report is focused on on hybrids, Mazda is just getting into hybrids…
Hmmm..... No Mazda? Man....this video it's a joke......CRV but no Mazda........
Mazda CX50 scores a 77 on Consumer Reports, hence it didn’t make the list
Mazda is just getting into hybrids
Toyota RAV4 Prime or The Gasoline RAV4!!!
Toyota Rav 4 is ugly
We installed solar panels on the roof and own electric car so we don't pay for electricity or fuel.
A solar roof panel won’t generate enough power.
Liar
Hondas have boring black interiors
The exteriors aren't very exciting either.
I agree!
Stop with the electric vehicles
Why all Asian cars???
The ranking list simply ended up that way! 😅 it is an interesting observation but can’t say it shocks many
The RAV4 hybrid is made in North America, the Prime is made in Japan.
Mitsubishi pajero is the perfect SUV in the world number One champion Guinness book of world records 😂
