    Looking good! She's definitely starting to come together. Is there a chance someday you could do a video on your 525 combine? I don't know why, but I've always had a soft spot for combines.

      I'd like to get it running again, but that is going to take engine work. I did crawl up on it at the end of a live stream during planting last spring.

    Yes sir, it's looking sharp, the paint job will be the icing on the cake. Always like watching the rebuilds, especially when it involves these classic old tractors. I'm working on my 1963 Massey Ferguson 65, it was my very first tractor and a classic. I have a long ways to go, but I have plenty of time to get it there. What I may be lacking in is money, but I'll do what I can. Thanks for sharing your experience with us Chris, I hope you have a fantastic Friday.😉

    Here’s a question, unrelated to this video but I’ve got an Oliver 1600 and I think it’s stuck in reverse and 3rd, I can’t pry it out of either, anyone have any ideas? 😂

    • @ThatOliverGuyChris
      @ThatOliverGuyChris  Год назад

      I assume you've pulled the shifter? You may have to rock the tractor back and forth some while trying to get the shift rails back in place. The gears may be bound up with the pressure of being in forward and reverse at the same time. If you pull the cover and the right platform, you can take out the base that the shifter goes to, and it also gives you a bigger opening to work through.

    • @isaiahshaffer
      @isaiahshaffer Год назад +1

      I have tried rocking the tractor and yes the shift lever is out, I did not know that piece it goes into comes off, that will be a big help, the shifter hole isn’t very big! It feels like it’s bound really tight, hopefully I can get more leverage with a bigger opening, or at least see more of what’s going on. Thank you!

    That is a somewhat complicated water pump and thermostat setup. Guess it was the engineering of the day. Sorry but my OCD would mandate making those copper lines with nice straight lines...

    Starting to look like an engine. Better hurry this project up because you'll hopefully be in the field soon. (By the way - the re-upload of the hillside hitch explanation video is coming -- I had to re-film the whole thing. Apparently, the video cranked out by my new Gopro Hero 9 doesn't work well with my video editor. Had to re-film with my phone. Video should be up in a day or so. My internet is slow - sometimes takes almost 24 hours for a 15 minute video.
