Mikuru is my most favorite character out of everyone in the Anime! ^^ She's very relatable to me too. =) I'm can be pretty shy like her too. =) I even have the School Uniform Figma of her and I'm thinking of getting all the other ones of her as well, and I also have a cosplay costume of her along with the wig (although my wig is all messed up and I have to take it to a professional haircutting place for them to make the wig better and more like her hair style (I accidentally cut off one of the annoying bangs on the wig that kept getting in my way everytime I put it on so now it's all messed up, and a little too long. XD It's also not as good when I first bought it either from putting it on, it's all frizzy now and weird looking and messed up along with that, but I'll get it all fixed one of these days. XD I also went to Anime Boston as her, but NOBODY yes, NOBODY recognized me! How crazy is that? Right? I mean "The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya" is a popular Anime series! I feel like Mikuru is super underrated. She's generally the fans' least favorite brigade member and it's not fair! Though I get her character at times can feel super 1 dimensional and tropey, even though Haruhi likes to poke fun at tropes. I like to think she hides a lot of her personality and motivations because she admits to being scared of Yuki and that her time traveler organization has conflicts with the IDE. But we really don't get much motivation besides that.

Gee, It took me a while to realize that the hyper-energetic girl from Gurren Lagann shares the same voice with this seemingly soulless AI, Nagato. Fantastic.
Kinda late now but I think it has to do with the publisher connections with those magazines. Also, the Japanese version has Kaede's VA as Mikuru and Sia's VA is Kyon's sister.
In Japan, high school is 3 years, so students go from freshmen, to juniors, to seniors. Kyon and Haruhi are freshmen, and Asahina is a year above them, so she'd be a junior.
What's ironic about this anime is that in the first episode, Haruhi is a timid shy girl who keeps to herself and is befriended by the guy, after gaining her trust he or she, (forget which sorry😜) suggest forming the Literature club, and shortly after it's up and running the guy unfortunately finds out just how crazy, dense, and idiotically stupid Haruhi actually is. But it's still an awesome anime to watch.😎
Looking at that scene makes me think Yuki Nagato would be the worst NPC in a Bethesda Elder Scrolls game or the most powerful Protagonist in an Elder Scrolls game. I want to be like that I need to train harder.

"Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka?" being one of them.. if you want I can tell you more.. I like anime prob way too much since the only two types I do not watch are Hentai and... Yaoi *shudders* Perfectly fine with Yuri though :P
