I live on the south shore of Long Island, so yes, i get it and i love it. This “look” is classy, timeless and so easy to distinguish. I also feel that Martha Stewart exemplifies this look perfectly and I’m totally fine with that 😀💙
Hi Lori . . OMG you hit the nail on the head!! I lived on the Cape for 19 years and swore I would never dress in the super white, faded denim, neutral tones . . but now that I live closer to Boston . . I can't pass by a wicker/rattan bag to save my life . . LOL :) Don't tell anyone . . SHHHH . . but I did have a "Coastal Grandma house" too . . LOL . . . and I still do . . linen, cold weather wools, 100 percent cottons, all white, wicker . . LOVE IT . . I was missing out all those years . . so comfy and cozy :)
Hi Lori. You did very well with all the piecs you bought. That blue crochet purse was gorgeous. You can probably have the handles fixed or replaced. Or even cover the handles with a silk scarf. I also love those blue subclasses. I'll neec to look for those. The 3 cups look beautiful in that wicker tray. You can use them as decoration with some flowers in them. I would love to wear the Coastal Grandma style but where I live in Canada It wouldn't be a good investment and I would freeze to death. But I enjoy seeing the pieces.
I am lucky enough to be a Coastal Grandmother, but didn't know it until recently (I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida)! I have sold these types of clothes for years and am now incorporating those key words in my listings. I love this aesthetic!!
Yea, the style that Diane Keaton wore in "Something's Gotta Give" was Coastal Grandmother. Mostly white, cream, or offwhite. Classic style. You nailed it. Good finds.
Hi Lori! Those mugs are likely Mexican pottery. They are in the Padilla style. I have bought and sold these and they are so lovely. Both the authentic ones and the lookalikes sell well 🙂
Love watching your videos! You are an inspiration and look great in that dress. I am so grateful for you and the information in your videos! Have a beautiful and blessed day❣️
The CG style also includes a cookbook. Ina Garten is most people's choice, but I'd say any vintage Julia or Betty Crocker's would be just great. One suggestion, please give the size of the items you show, I know you have to move fast but there are so many things I like and no clue of the size. This style is comfy and relaxed but at the same time well thought and put together. Thank you!
You are very strong in helping viewers to see how pieces go together and just how to wear them in fresh ways. I hope you are capitalizing on that gift in your auction videos!
I'm a grandmother and dress like this. Think Martha's Vineyard. My children call me Martha as a joke. If it's linen or navy and white striped I'm wearing it.
Yay! I’m so glad coastal grandma won! I love selling Albion but I rarely pick up betabrand anymore, it just doesn’t sell well for me! Those lulu pants are “coastal grandma goes to the yoga lesson on the beach” 😂. Great video!
Hi Lori! I’ve been watching your videos -big fan! I think this one is my favorite so far! Great pieces! In all of your spare time you should be a personal stylist ! Not only do you have a great eye but you have the passion! Looking forward to your next challenge! By the way… I’m watching from the Cape!
We never get things this nice in thrift stores where I live, even though my county is one of the wealthiest in the world, so I know the donations are great. The store employees work there only because they have first pick of all the donated items, for free, which they then resell at high profits. I’ve never found leather, linen, silk, a good blazer or dress, or anything else I really like at these thrift shops.
I'm looking for linen pants. Hopefully when I go to the thrift store this weekend I will have some luck! I love the blue linen blouse and I love the belt! ❤️❣️
So glad to find your channel! Although I live in the Midwest, the coastal colors have resonated with me for a long time. I've also slowly been transitioning my wardrobe to natural fibers to avoid the toxins in clothing. Love this haul! As a side note, I'll be moving to a new home soon and am designing in a mix of Coastal and Scandi. I love the color of the room you are filming in ... would you mind sharing the paint color and brand?
I love the swimsuit, Lululemon pant wish the were my size and the baby clothes. I hadn’t heard of coastal Grandma but I will add that keyword into some of my listings. Great video.
Lori, this is so cool! You should do whatnot sales with these themes! :-) Thank you for all you do. I've learned so much from you and love the items I've purchased from you too!
LOL "Coastal Lori" you can steam the pillows to clean them (that will kill any bugs) or take them to the dry cleaners. You might be surprised to find out how well pillow covers and pillows resell. I keep many for myself but I also sell quite a few on Poshmark and eBay. I will admit that sometimes I throw out the pillow insert or remove it before purchasing.
Coastal Grandma esthetic is so wearable, esp if you’re over 40. But I love the dress you’re wearing even more! Fun challenge and I think you were successful…
dang now I want to sell my country house in the woods in NH and go south to be a coastal grandma ... heck I've wanted to go back home to MA since I moved to disease causing bug infested NH over 20 years ago. Ever move somewhere and think oh geesh big huge mistake
I learn something new from your videos all the time. I had not heard of Coastal Grandma. It reminds me of slow fashion. At any rate, Slow Grandma is appealing. Check it out!
You know I get this, but my mom looked completely disgusted when I sent her an article about this…that this is a “thing”. She finds it diminutive and I can definitely understand. I get it…she’s in her late 70’s and is fairly unimpressed by Gen Z’s need to label everything. I think putting a label on it is something Gen Z really likes to do. I’ve never heard “____ vibes” or “______aesthetic” more than I have in the past three years. I think it’s a power thing. But on the other hand…I can also understand all this. Idk. If we are talking style purely I do think East Coast /Coastal Grandma is different than West Coast. Less preppy.
Becoming a coastal Grandma is a life goal . I've got the grandma part now I just need the coast
Me too! I want to be a coastal grandma/crazy cat lady. Hahah!
😂, right?! Same here!
I live on the south shore of Long Island, so yes, i get it and i love it. This “look” is classy, timeless and so easy to distinguish. I also feel that Martha Stewart exemplifies this look perfectly and I’m totally fine with that 😀💙

Love your Marimeko in this video. Such a great vibe: business crisp/bold/fun/creative/organic
I like what you chose. The olive pants look great for beach-combing and surf walking, I think they definitely work with this esthetic, which I love.
My favourite pieces, hmmmmmm? All of them! Love the Coastal Grandma look, now I just need some grand children 😉
Haha! Tough to choose!
I love the blue linen top
I like the vibe of coastal grandma but I must say I love the Marimekko jacket you are wearing!
Meryl Streep and Diane Keaton better be watching. They’re gonna want to shop your closet!
I love this aesthetic, especially at my age. I use this hashtag as often as I can!
Mugs were perfect vibe

Great finds, Lori! I loved that blue comforter. It looked like a Rachel Ashwell..Shabby Chic brand. Those mugs, too! 😍😍 💙
I absolutely loved this video! sooooo my vibe now and forever! My favorite piece was the striped swimsuit and the hat.
I am lucky enough to be a Coastal Grandmother, but didn't know it until recently (I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida)! I have sold these types of clothes for years and am now incorporating those key words in my listings. I love this aesthetic!!
Albion is a great brand! Their Jetsetter Everyday Joggers are a favorite!
I think you should go to that thrift store you call your honey hole and only picked up Bee themed items!
Yea, the style that Diane Keaton wore in "Something's Gotta Give" was Coastal Grandmother. Mostly white, cream, or offwhite. Classic style. You nailed it. Good finds.

I’m so addicted to mugs 😂😂 tried to get rid of 15 …. They’re downstairs in a box 😊
I find that a lot of the brand Alfred Dunner & J. Jill linen line qualify as "Coastal Grandma" or "Granny Core"
I live on the west coast (Seattle), and I had the coastal grandma vibe even before I knew it was a thing! LOVE Linen! ♥
You are ahead of your time!
Love watching your videos! You are an inspiration and look great in that dress. I am so grateful for you and the information in your videos! Have a beautiful and blessed day❣️
Loved this one! More for my own taste. Living in the desert of Utah those pieces are hard to find. ahhh Love it all. I want to be 'Grace and Frankie'
The CG style also includes a cookbook. Ina Garten is most people's choice, but I'd say any vintage Julia or Betty Crocker's would be just great. Wow great challenge , love the look and the vibe. Beautiful pieces , I can see myself in this lifestyle 🙂
Love it!!! Great treat I love linen!!!💜🌵🤗🥰🙋♀️
♥️ coastal grandma aesthetic
J JILL LINEN PANT...
Original pockets. I buy these. Pocket becomes invisible when wearing.
I want to be a coastal grandma now! Love all of it. :)
Fun series Lori.
This vibe speaks to me, even though I neither live at the coast or am a grandma! Ha!
Interesting on the J Jill pockets … I do know nude or beige under white actually disappears better than white unless you have a darker skin tone. 🤷♀️
You nailed coastal grandma and I am becoming her🤭
Love this style
I hadn't realized how I'd for sure be a coastal grandma in the future. I adore the look! those glasses look amazing on you!
You are very strong in helping viewers to see how pieces go together and just how to wear them in fresh ways. I hope you are capitalizing on that gift in your auction videos!
I absolutely love the coastal grandma style for apparel and home decor. You nailed it.
So fun and you even had coastal grandma music in the background during the thrifting portion! 🏖👵🏻
Thank you! I tried to find a fun song that fit the vibe!
I'm a grandmother and dress like this. Think Martha's Vineyard. My children call me Martha as a joke. If it's linen or navy and white striped I'm wearing it.
I love that they call you Martha!
Awesome treasure hunt, but my favs r the linen tops, 💙🤍 dainty and versitile.
I've been loving linen lately!
Yay! I’m so glad coastal grandma won! I love selling Albion but I rarely pick up betabrand anymore, it just doesn’t sell well for me! Those lulu pants are “coastal grandma goes to the yoga lesson on the beach” 😂. Great video!
This is one of my favorite hauls of yours, im not a grandma but this is my favorite aesthetic for myself lol love the natural easy colors and fits
I love all of these items and coastal grandma. Unfortunately I am unable to find many of these brands around me. And no Savers stores.
Am loving this series. Really enjoying how you are pulling the outfits together
Thank you Robin! It's been fun!
Coastal Grandma is a classic vibes. Love the aesthetic of it. Always drawn to linens. 💕. Loving the everyday challenge.
I found a beige linen pant set today... think I'll use "coastal grandma" in the listing lol

I think the brand of those sandals is pronounced ‘tee-kees’, like ‘tiki’.
Thank you! That makes sense!
Outstanding haul!
Lori you need to list!!! On posh! Lol…
Just listed!

I loved all of these. I’m heading to the coast in a couple of weeks and you gave me some ideas! And, I’m a grandma!
Nice job! Love that vibe
The flax pants are perfect with those white tops! Dress me Lori!! Haha.
So glad to find your channel! Although I live in the Midwest, the coastal colors have resonated with me for a long time. You crushed this challenge!! Loved all the pieces!
Lori, this is so cool! You should do whatnot sales with these themes! :-) Thank you for all you do. I've learned so much from you and love the items I've purchased from you too!
I usually buy only Pier 1 Import pillows, because you can take the covers off and wash them.
My fave piece are the tan size 11 sandals!
Love the pieces you put together. I don't live on the coast, but I could see myself wearing that aesthetic.
OMG, you did sooo good. Coastal G Ma is where its at....comfort, natural and so J Jill. Thank you for a wonderful content
Beautiful pieces. You have a great eye for ensemble pieces
Coastal grandma! I love it! Love the denim jumper!!
Love this series!! I remember when you picked up the Marrimekko dress. Happy you kept it. It looks great on you!!
Albion is an amazing swimsuit brand to find! I'm always searching for it personally, but like you said, it resells high!
LOL "Coastal Lori" you can steam the pillows to clean them (that will kill any bugs) or take them to the dry cleaners. You might be surprised to find out how well pillow covers and pillows resell. Fun challenge!!! Enjoying the different types of thrifts!
I love your blouse, Lori!! It’s beautiful!
I just found an Albion jumpsuit. Great styling!
Love this series Lori!
Great finds. I like how you pair your items.

Thanks Ann! This was fun!
Loved it Lori
Thank you Nancy!
Coastal Grandma esthetic is so wearable, esp if you’re over 40. But I love the dress you’re wearing even more! Fun challenge and I think you were successful…
Fun challenge! You got great things!
dang now I want to sell my country house in the woods in NH and go south to be a coastal grandma ... heck I've wanted to go back home to MA since I moved to disease causing bug infested NH over 20 years ago. Ever move somewhere and think oh geesh big huge mistake
May I suggest COASTAL CHIC VIBE?
OMG, the names of these so-called esthetics are just getting more and more ridiculous! Love the black-and-white blouse you're wearing - Marimekko?
Lori.. I love the white shoulder bag.. is it ready for purchase?
When will the white XL linen shirt, blue light glasses and leather handbag be up on your Poshmark closet?
I’ll list them tonight Ellen. 💕
I learn something new from your videos all the time. I had not heard of Coastal Grandma. It
reminds me of slow fashion. At any rate, Slow Grandma is appealing. Check it out!
So that Fresno Denim jumper was the brand Fresno or was it made in Fresno. I live here in Fresno. That was kind of cool!
Lori Tata could you do a video of you putting your Hat on in a Car??
You know I get this, but my mom looked completely disgusted when I sent her an article about this…that this is a “thing”. She finds it diminutive and I can definitely understand.
