Every new upload is one more time i have to take a trip to the toilet. Boy oh boy you are so so so close Lukey...... Your perseverance is immaculate and the critical thinking to tie the rigs suitable for the current was outstanding. One tip though, if you are looking for a barra you can use big cut baits from things like the mullet you put out on the rope. If a barra sees that I can guarantee it will smoke it I have caught many on cut mullet. Bycatch like crocs are also a thing which is always good to get a run (looks like you had one during the video too 🤣). Good luck buddy. Dont wanna hurt ya!!

Try downsizing your hooks first so that the fish can eat your bait better. Also down size your lures, you'll catch more species and still catch big fish. I've recently got a very light setup (a little bit heavier than an ultralight) with 10lb line and leader and I've been using it with 2.5 inch (Zman Slim Swimz or Pro lure live Yabbie) or under sized lures. Been catching a lot of fish and a lot of different species. With smaller lures you can fish more areas with confidence such as roadside flood ways or even open sea dock or beach fishing.
Try downsizing your lures and hooks and let me know if it improves your catch rate!
    Thanks Luke

Luke try smaller hooks on one trace and separate your sinker with a swivel about 50 cm or so away from the hook and put a small float on to float your bait and it won’t get pushed around in the current. This works well for us in South Africa so maybe give it a try

Lukey you keen on smacking a few species over the weekend in innisfail? Start with chasing around a barra a few jacks and chase a few flathead towards the arvy on the flats, all land based fishing mission few decent spots and should snag a few fish throughout the day.. no payment wanted just bring that big vibe energy!

If you wanna catch a barra with live bait. The key is to get good bait. With the weather cooling down now. Mud Herring an prawns are the best bet. Use a 5/0-6/0 wide gape hook. An use a paternoster rig to keep the bait of the bottom around 60-70cm. An fish the smaller run tides. Find a steep bank in the creek with snags fallen in the water an where the bank has collapsed an chuck the bait in there. As I said the key is to keep the bait alive an healthy. But definitely find some snags on a creek bend or a deep bank. Even go along the bank stay about 5 meters out from the bank an see if you can find big lumps an snags on the bottom with your sounder..And fish it on the neap tides as the fish will be holding there as there’s not much current so they can school up an hold in 1 spot a lot easier. Anchor just up from your spot an drop the baits directly just infront of the snag/spot your fishing. Have the be right in close.

maybe its on internet nowadays,... ask around. I am am not a fisherman so god only knows
then you may lose the worst fisherman in Australia crown.
I've given up giving you cabbing advise as you don't use any of it, and always say, oh where do you live, even though I've told you 20 times😅🤣😂😅 anyway perhaps that book will help you, as you will never be a crabber.

Do Australians not like catfish? You guys seem disappointed when you catch one
    Personally I enjoy catching them
They would be huge in the river I used to fish

Totally different fish here. They're slimy, and stink real bad. Terrible to eat and not fun to catch.
