Need some longer eps ,lukey my bro loving your content watching you learn and seeing the excitement 😂 makes me remember when I first started out. Crank out some 20 mins or even better 30 mins even if there a little rawer
Every new upload is one more time i have to take a trip to the toilet. Boy oh boy you are so so so close Lukey...... Your perseverance is immaculate and the critical thinking to tie the rigs suitable for the current was outstanding. One tip though, if you are looking for a barra you can use big cut baits from things like the mullet you put out on the rope. If a barra sees that I can guarantee it will smoke it I have caught many on cut mullet. Bycatch like crocs are also a thing which is always good to get a run (looks like you had one during the video too 🤣). Good luck buddy. Dont wanna hurt ya!!
Yeah bro defintely crocs there never turn your back to water , crocs are quick 👌🏽 went fishing on the same day as soon as the tide started coming up I was on catching fish out in yarrabuh!
Hi Luke,You have made me want to go out fishing and enjoy myself and doing the the things I love I hope you catch a 1 meter barramundi. love your vid’s
Incredibly captivating video mate, was worried for a second that catfish wouldn't make it, was super relieved when it did . Love your work and your message Luke, not sure how the burley pot was peeling drag, reckon you might've had a crock on the other end . Great video mate, very cheeks and as usual keep up the awesome work brother 🔥🔥🔥. Every sesh brings you closer to that one run from a barra that will have you harder than a rock, I can feel it coming man. Keep it up.
@Luke Falzon Had to have been a crock or barra, I reckon you were connected to the line which was in the mouth of a crock and it was swimming without realising, then when you applied a bit of pressure it came out. All good man, if the vids keep coming, so do I and I'm all here for it. Keep up the great content, legend 💪💪💪💪.
Try downsizing your hooks first so that the fish can eat your bait better. Also down size your lures, you'll catch more species and still catch big fish. I've recently got a very light setup (a little bit heavier than an ultralight) with 10lb line and leader and I've been using it with 2.5 inch (Zman Slim Swimz or Pro lure live Yabbie) or under sized lures. Been catching a lot of fish and a lot of different species. With smaller lures you can fish more areas with confidence such as roadside flood ways or even open sea dock or beach fishing. Try downsizing your lures and hooks and let me know if it improves your catch rate! Thanks Luke
Luke try smaller hooks on one trace and separate your sinker with a swivel about 50 cm or so away from the hook and put a small float on to float your bait and it won’t get pushed around in the current. This works well for us in South Africa so maybe give it a try
Hate to be that guy but you live in cairns get your self a 2-5kg rod and some double clutches upgrade the trebles to decoy Ys81 size 8 and learn how to twitch twitch pause on retrieve. If you wanna catch all those big fish you’ve been talking about you will get them watch broomstick fishing for some advice hes also in cairns
Broomstick fishing is the man. Don’t waste your time offering good drum. He doesn’t implement any good advice he’s given. Evidently so, every video same fishing structure and doesn’t catch any quality fish. Not like broomstick fishing.
Lukey you keen on smacking a few species over the weekend in innisfail? Start with chasing around a barra a few jacks and chase a few flathead towards the arvy on the flats, all land based fishing mission few decent spots and should snag a few fish throughout the day.. no payment wanted just bring that big vibe energy!
If you wanna catch a barra with live bait. The key is to get good bait. With the weather cooling down now. Mud Herring an prawns are the best bet. Use a 5/0-6/0 wide gape hook. An use a paternoster rig to keep the bait of the bottom around 60-70cm. An fish the smaller run tides. Find a steep bank in the creek with snags fallen in the water an where the bank has collapsed an chuck the bait in there. As I said the key is to keep the bait alive an healthy. But definitely find some snags on a creek bend or a deep bank. Even go along the bank stay about 5 meters out from the bank an see if you can find big lumps an snags on the bottom with your sounder..And fish it on the neap tides as the fish will be holding there as there’s not much current so they can school up an hold in 1 spot a lot easier. Anchor just up from your spot an drop the baits directly just infront of the snag/spot your fishing. Have the be right in close.
Hey Luke I have noticed through watching your videos that you have tried over n over again to catch a barra, if u are that desperate you should head up to weipa town it’s known for catching Barra and lots of it, it is my home so trust me I know however it’s a ten hour drive I don’t expect much but if u do decide to come up I would love to take u to some of my favourite places
hey Luke, just an idea but I think you try soft plastic fishing in these river mouths. in the drone footage we can see all the big schools of fish and if you just cast a soft plastic out there you’d have more success of catching these fish, even a barramundi! just a thought tho, goodluck !
Hey Luke! I want to start fishing but I’m not sure what rod to get and what size hooks imin queensland australia! So we have bcf fishing here too, so can u help me with ideas of fishing rods to get ?
You can actually eat those shovel nose sharks they taste pretty good and they have a good amount of meat on them, you can fillet them like a flathead down the sides
Have you tried taking the boat over to the rock wall opposite from where you were fishing and have a go there? There are some rock walls around Cairns that people have good luck catching barra. Try some live bait and flicking a lure.
hey mate, if you want to stop getting cleaned up you should use one rod with a smaller hook and use smaller baits to get all fish and more species good video though brotha ❤
