@@jdivergh22 I know it doesn't have the height of WT but back when Geauga Lake was open before the sale to CF I had rode their Superman ride 14 times in a row in the rain. The forward spike was no big deal but that straight spike on the back was so much fun especially on the last thrust since they did that fraction of a second breaking to give that weightlessness feeling before falling back down.
it is better than the original for a couple of reasons. My family was able to come out and participate in early access because of our Prestige Season Passes. . General thought amongst the 3 riders (2 of which rode twice) - You can really feel the parts where you go through the three accelerations. It's super noticeable and prepares you for the next part of the ride. The new seats really allow you to feel the zero gravity hang time at the top of the spike (even if it's for only a split second) and geez to match the original top speed of 120 mph it feels faster as you go over the top hat WAY faster than the original one. Lasty but not least the ride lasting close to 50 seconds compared to the original 17 seconds is a welcomed improvements.
I just saw a video where a content creator guy was taking a drive on Perimieter Drive to park for this event. I have never been on that road and it was quite interesting to see all those coasters from that backside viewpoint. I've known about Camper Village since a child but have never been there.
it's a toss up, but I actually think the airtime over the top hat might be better in the front car...you get thrown out of your seat from the beginning of the top hat all the way through, vs. in the back car a bit of a pause before a more violent airtime at the apex - could be personal preference on which of those sensations you prefer; I'm usually a fan of longer sustained airtime
Thanks for the useful review. Sounds like a very enjoyable ride. I was trying to figure out whether the back row on the spike is the tallest straight coaster drop in world. Superman is estimated at 328. Red force drops at least 40 feet before it goes straight.I am assuming tt2 back row is about 355-365.
Sounds great! I still dream about it they would've changed the direction you went through the tophat 😅😅 Going up the tower like a premier skyrocket 2 🎉🎉
It looks fun, but I have a very hard time thinking that it will be even close to what it used to be. The acceleration on dragster was by far my favorite moment on any rollercoaster. This ride seems much tamer and while it does go super fast, the acceleration on dragster is what made it awesome for me.
My guess is that the reverse launch, the spike, and the ejector air over the top hat will make up for the lost hydraulic launch based on all of these early reviews. Especially for fans of the original, I don’t think anyone is going to be prepared for ejector air on the top hat. I know everytime I rode TTD, I never really got a sense of air time at the top, so if it’s anything like I’m hearing, it’s going to be an improvement

@@Nsamity I have a strange sense of confidence that the ride experience won’t suffer. All my concerns are long term since this is a project scale Zamperla never had before
They were assigning seating but you could request front or back. If you want a specific row I’m pretty sure they would accommodate but I won’t swear to that. This was also a charity event, so if that carries over to the season, who knows
I disagree, not everyone wants to sit in the front or back, most just want to get on and not wait any longer. For the guests that doesn’t mind waiting the extra 30 mins in order to have their best ride experience they should ABSOLUTELY have that option.
@@COASTERnet 2004 was the last time I was at CP and I tried to use Raptor to kill my mother for the very first ride of the day. (not on purpose actually). Insisting that a 60 year old with diabetes will be fine to ride the Raptor may not have been my most sound recommendation. But then again her decision (while I was at the back of the truck trying to get some rest) to play Jimmy Swaggart music was fuel for my insistence. Needless to say she was messed up for the rest of the day and I did gray-out while riding it. oops.

What I remember was the extreme force on the back of your head and neck and I suspect that this launch is much less stressful on the body.

I’d guess you are right. It might surprise you though in other ways.

Not the first launch at all. Maybe the other 2 but not nearly as strong

They were assigning seating but you could request front or back. If you want a specific row I’m pretty sure they would accommodate but I won’t swear to that. This was also a charity event, so if that carries over to the season, who knows

It probably is, but thunderbird feels more powerful due to speed vs distance launched. Plus thunderbird never lets up on the launch.
