Well done Bro!! I havent really sat down and got into Drum n Bass playing, and I should, you know you got so many things you want to do with drumming, that it is hard to do it all!!! I like it though, and it seems like some of the technique,I picked up off of Gadd and Garibaldi, would be of help, especially the ghosting and the linear stuff!! You have a great feel for this style, but it also seems to me,like we have studied some of the same guys, because it all makes sense to me,stylisticly! Thanks Bro!
Snare drum on beat one and on the fourth 16th (1d position), this is a soft note. Bass drum on beat 2, snare on the and of 2, another soft note on the snare on the second 16th of beat 3 (3e position) and a bass drum on the and of 3 plus a snare drum on beat 4. Sounds complicated? It's probably easier to watch when I play it slow and copy what I'm doing. All the best Ydna
Hope no one criticizes you specifically to build themselves up like you did me on my grammer or spelling after making a few simple mistakes. Enjoy your journey anyway miss critical spirit.
Yeah, I;m pretty sure we studied the same guys: Garibaldi, Gadd, Colaiuta, Carter Beauford, hahaha, I could easily spend an hour on that list :-)) Cheers Ydna
@everett24 Woa Dude!! I never got that!! Now that I look at it.and knowing how hard the Dude is into drumming,I cant believe it didnt click!! Me being from the midwest U.S. thought it was an exotic Euro name!!LOL!! Thats Cool!!
I have three drum covers from others artists on my channel: Chase & Status, Limewax and Optical. All the other music in my videos is made in my studio and some of them available as drumless playalongs on iTunes called "Drum&Bass Play-Alongs For The Wicked Drummer"' by Ydna Murd Cheers Ydna
Didn't I say that? I might have said "3 and", or? The other way around... I'm gonna check again, but the beat is probably clear enough so it won't confuse people. Cheers Ydna
I like it very much! @jungleritter: The only thing I stumbled over is that the rhythm you show at appr. 2:00 is nothing drum´n´bass only, let alone any new rhythm at all - it is basically a 1960s or 1970s beat sped up a tad. Nothing wring with it though. It´s simply that nothing new has evolved for a long time, only the musical settings have changed. Well done, a good drum leasson, bro! :-)
Thank you ! Just with these 3 basic riffs we can have a lot of fun ! Thanks
Once again bro thank you for sharing your talent.
