How's the mataro do u like it or is it still to stiff for u??
I know it wont happen but I want fixie points back
Fixie points!!!!
Zach Gallardo Walmart century sounds super entertaining! And I also live in Elk Grove, would love to ride the century with you! Insta: abu_.o
Walmart Century Ride would be entertaining. Just make sure you can get an Uber that will pick you up with a bike. So, that you can return it to Walmart to get your money back.

PK FPV thank youuuuuu
If you want to do a Walmart century, do it, if you don’t, no biggie, it’s your life and don’t let unknown people from the internet determine how you live it, love the vids btw
what do you mean? WE DECIDE!
A key thing with the bike you pick for an allyecat race is not just how fast it is, but your ability to maneuver through traffic with it.
Pimp out the Wallmart bike with campagnolo parts ☺️❤️💢💢💢🚲
Or even better. Dura Ace.
Post some pix
doesnt even fit
pos wally bikes
One of your best videos yet dude.
Did you forget to button up the top half of your shirt?
Bradley8936 it’s super hot in Sacramento, you can see sweat on his forehead throughout the video.
Thank you
I ride an Affinity LoPro. So I clicked. Fist bumped myself when you mentioned that frame lol.
Tsunami is actually a huge brand here in Singapore and its a 'good' and recommended bike for beginners. As for OTA,its also big and mostly a budget crankset for beginners too,i actually used to own one and from my experince,it isnt that bad,its reasonably stift and smoother then some cranksets that are well known, but its really heavy...climbing on the OTA crankset is a nightmare.
I've been doing some reading into cage bearing hubs and found it's common for bikepackers to drill the center of their hubs and tap in a "zerk fitting" so you grease from the center and force out dirt and old grease from the sides. Gonna keep an eye out for old wheels to try this out on a winter commute.
Bryce Dueck Locate some WTB or SunTour XC pro GREASEGUARD hubs. They have grease ports inside each of the flanges. They wont be cheap as theyre not made anymore and they were high end in 90s. Also you may have an even harder time finding the cassettes for the Sun Tours. WTBs are the way to go. Theyre either freewheel or use a shimano style cassette I have a WTB rear and a Sun Tour front. Id like to see pics of do it yourself zerked hubs!
Older Campy hubs had a grease port covered by a snap ring in the middle of the hub.
OMG yes!!!! OMG yes!!!! Please do another bike ride out Zach!!! I wasn't able to make it the first time you did it but I would love to make it especially if it's held around the end of the week. Such as Friday, Saturday or Sunday. 😁😁
i own a Tsunami ranger frameset. from what ive heard they are manufactured where cinellis and other big brands are made in china (or taiwan?).
already rode it for more than 1000kms and it is still intact. it's a light frame (al 6069) at a good cheap price
This is amazing! Loving it.
yeah do walmart bikes like kevcentral theyre pretty entertaining
Thank you for answering my question!
I love the affinity low pro look, but I feel like I’d bust my back and neck trying to ride it
OTA is 130 bcd actually, as a previous owner I can say, that it is better then prowheel or archer cranks
Wal-Mart century ride would be awesome!
and OTA is also widely used here in Singapore too, most people with tsunami frames will pair it with OTA cranksets, and they are solid
I have a couple of high end frames.. and still the cordoba frame gave me the sweetest ride quality of all.
Hiya Zach. Loved this vid.
Though I'm mildly sympathetic to the suffering that will ensue on a wall Mart 💯 I would be tremendously entertained by it. Please do it. Even better if there are others with you 💙
Aliexpress vendors actually do have sizing charts and a plethora of good customer service. Picked up quite a number of components and have a few friends that have frames. Nothing but good news.
I used to own Tsunami Ranger Bike, it is pretty nice. Had fun riding it. Its a must try bike.
Tsunami bikes are really popular here in Singapore, with comparable geometry and build quality to the Constantine drag, its really good for its price
I'd like to see your walmart challenge. I'm thinking about getting the walmart bike when I'm visiting in my home town.
Totally down for a Wal-Mart Century. I've been riding on an unbranded frame for 2 years now and it's been fun. Definitely time for a real track frame. Come ride in Davis, not as busy as sac and there's miles of smooth greenbelts to mash on. Cheers bro
Hey Zach!! I need some advice. I got a super nice Specialized Tarmac on Craigslist crazy cheap and I've been riding it for several months. The frame fits me really well and I was thinking about using the frameset for a fixed gear conversion utilizing a eccentric hub. I've had fixed gears in the past, but just recently got back into riding. Do you think it's worth the money to convert it?
Pls do the wallmarkt ride, would be interessting
I'd love to see the Walmart review /century ride, quick question about the bb17, I thougth they weren't doing the karma anymore, ae they still doing it?. Thanks for the video! 🙏
Do you wish your wabi could fit larger tires or nah
What do you think about Polo&Bike Williamsburg? I just bought a second hand one and I think it's pretty sweet.
Can you find this kind of frames with 1" width stem??
Where can I buy box rims?? Im ok with build the wheel by myself, but I need them to be really cheap...
Quick question, I'm totally serious
Is it a viable idea to build a fixed gear from a mountain bike frame (with a rigid fork of course)?
And compared to a standard fixed gear (like your wabi), how different would it be to ride?
Hey, How can i get a wabi bicycle in Australia?? ive looked everywhere and cannot find a way to get one here
Dope video! 🔥🔥🔥
Hi Zach! Big big fan here! love your channel man! My 2009 Fuji Track Comp frame broke and Fuji said they wont send a replacement. What frame would you recommend me that I could transfer the components such fork wheels etc... to Ill appreciate your help tremendously !!! Thank you!
I’m liking the Wabi bikes segways, but am more happy that reasonably dangerous didn’t go away.
Wal-Mart group century sounds sick!
I can't wait for the inevitable WALMART century ride!
hi zach are you familiar with avelino maldea? a bike frame builder from the philippines. he makes superb bike frames , i personally have a generation one ave maldea. with it be possible for you to review an ave maldea bike?
Brick Lane Bikes represent!
Do you have any tips for a bike (reliable commuter) in Europe for around 500€/$.?
Hey zach Any thoughts about "The Project manila animal" frameset ?
Are celt bikes worth the budget ?
do the walmart century, i saw that exact bike on campus before and was curious about whether its even that good
What’s up bro waiting on my Aventon Cordoba to come
I have worked on wall-mart bikes i honestly think as long as you grease up everything and re check all the bolts is should make 100 miles with almost no prob.
in your opinion, american classic aero or mavic ellipse? thanks
I picked up a walmart kent singlespeed bike on clearance this past spring for forty dollars, i replaced most of the parts with better quality stuff i had and purchased. Its not a bad bike i rode it the most this summer.
I wonder how you get flat wheel spokes through round holes
Tsunami Bikes are very popular here in the Philippines. Pricing though, it sorta matches the price of Aventon here. Quality wise, its on the high quality budget fixed gear category(in my opinion) in terms of frame quality.
Do a video on the tsunami fixed gear, they are really popular in Asia and i heard its really light n cheap
what do you think about throne fixed bikes ?
You should put your silver Omniums on the Wabi
I can not find a steel bike sub 1000 for a guy with a 711 mm inseam. Help
spoke length has little to no effect on "stiffness" or "liveliness". deeper rims are stronger than shallower rims due to how they distribute the crumpling force from the ground, and this makes the wheel durable and transmits bumps better. high flange rear hubs have higher torque stiffness than low flange because they give a longer lever arm on which the spokes act.
I am surprised you didnt mention the kagero and the renovatio.
#WALMARTCENTURY
In AliExpress i found some lugged steel bikes frames with the Connelly geometry and all of what you said put me off, there was no review of the frame and the materials looks sketchy
Freaky yeah sis! Whip out the wallmart century
Where can i buy WABI frame?? Here in Philippines..?
My frame was an Affinity Metropolitan pursuit and I HATE that I sold it 😭
A set of wheels such as hand-built Mavic open pros made with a high spoke count can be just as stiff as anything out there. The shape of the rim doesn't necessarily dictate the stiffness of the wheel. Also, if you want aero and lightweight, buy a good set of carbons. My 60mm carbons weigh 1200 grams for the wheelset and only cost $500 have done 6 seasons now and are still straight as a dye.
I built my first fixed gear with some parts I had laying around, after riding singlespeed for a long time. Are there no frames on the market with track ends and fender eyelets with room for 32C tires? Basic commuting stuff
Surly makes a few bikes that I believe have those options
what about pizz shukaku or ingria airpusher/anteater?
Aren't pursuit bikes fixed tt's? Where are the aero bars
Looking for a guru'obikes thanks very much for sharing your wisdom
It would be good to see how well a inexpensive Walmart bike. Something in the cost range of $50.00 to $100.00.
And without any modifications of your own. Or you might try something in the $15.00 to $30.00 range from a yard sale or thrift shop.
By the way, your videos are very inspirational !
THANKS!!!!!
Can you review Tsunami Frames they're quite popular in asia
I'm on a cheap hi ten steel frame, made here in the UK, it's on the heavy side but it's good quality and has done what I need whilst saving up, now I have a surly steamroller on the way, before that I was on a 40 year old women's road bike that I converted to single speed, I ordered a small steamroller, as the frame I'm on is too big for me, I have to stand on my tip toes when standing over the frame, it's 56cm, ordered the 49cm steamroller, as I like smaller bikes
I want fixie points back! Review the bikes
I want to really see you ride the Wal-mart bike. Looking forward to it. =P
How about celt bikes? Yep they're steel and os. They're pretty good
hey buddy I'm from singapore and there are plenty of riders here who rock the visp, tsunami and the ota cranksets. they are decent. i used an ota before and they're beefy and super stiff. as good as sugino
I have a Tsunami Victoria chromoly/carbon frameset and it's rad, kind of a grey-label Cinelli vibe
Also, the seller sent me detailed specs, geometry charts, and photos of the frame on weight scales, etc. Not every seller is going to do that but it's worth pointing out here
Hey does anyone know what would happen if i had a 650 c front wheel and a 700c back wheel?
you look like a clown
We should totally do a century ride in sacramento im in
Walmart century for sure, but you gotta whip some sick skids on it for the viewers 👍🏽 maybe a bike check video for November, i miss seeing other people’s sexy bikes. Or interview strangers about fixed gear bikes and see if they would be willing to try one out. Maybe you could convert a roadie to a fixed rider and subscrider. 🤘🏽
Go watch foad gang for real fixed gear videos this dude don’t ride he talks too much 😂
You didn't mention rim width .. different rim widths make a difference too
Please do the Walmart century ride!
I'd love a century in Sac!!!
8:22 OTA Cranksets are 130BCD
tsunami frames are pretty common here in the philippines
It’s funny that you posted this video. I got hit by a car while on my first alleycat race today. I’m pretty upset as I was actually following the law as well as killing the race. Only got a concussion but now I need a new bike :(.
Good video, wabis are nice. But ill stick with my Gunnar. Very intrested in the wally world singlespeed century!
The Walmart century is a must!!
Do the century with the Walmart bike and when it breaks down on you (cause it will) upgrade the components on it and try another century 😂
A Walmart bike should have no problems going a 100 miles, even a 1,000 miles, since he has no breaker and no shifters. All he has to do is check the bearings for grease and preload adjustment.
Should I get a throne or aventon bike as my second bike( budget 600 lower)
Get an Aventon, you dont wanna be The guy with a Cracklord
Yes ! Please do a Walmart 100 .
Are there any non-beach cruiser single speed bikes at Walmart?
A B yea I bought a $100 Walmart Kent fixie for my first bike and it’s not great but I ride it everyday to work now for 3 months no problems
Sooooo...... I guess the marketing works, cos I fancy a Wabi now.
What’s the deal with UK availability on dem Wabi’s?
And will the lightning be durable for a 250lb Guy? (I don’t think the wheels would be).😀
Timbo Ha! FWIW, frame durability should be fine in everything except the worst department store bikes. Wheels will be the big issue… and, speaking from experience, single-bolt seatposts are somewhat suspect as well 😑
can you do a review of a sku bike
Would love to see a Walmart Century video haha. If you do it just be safe
I’m down to do the Walmart century XD
I would really like to see a century video! Even if it is not on a Walmart bike, lol.
Yes to Walmart. My first cheapo fixed gear lasted two weeks.
I have had the same idea for a WalMart bike. This time of year, I’m knocking out ~150 miles/week. Could a sub $200 bike hang with me for 7 days? I’m tall; 204 pounds. I’m not slow (for a middle-aged Jewish lawyer, anyway),
I may have to try that.
walmart bike century sounds awsome, the thing about aliexpress parts is that you can buy them in countries that dont have other options ( i live in lebanon no fixed gear enything and the only place online that sends its stuff to lebanon is aliexpress)
most people know there is a gamble in quality when buying things from aliexpress
more footy of you riding Zach. you be up in your room talking about bikes damn near every vid.
I’ve got a Walmart bike that I was gifted to originally just be a beater, but have since done 2 centuries on. I’ve even been hit by a car while riding it and the thing still trucks!
32°F and a 13mile ride today.
