Pls reply me
You don’t need to worry about the DS-160 itinerary as it’s not binding. During the interview, if asked about your travel plans, explain the change in circumstances (wildfires in LA) and mention your updated itinerary with the new destination. Carry supporting documents for your revised plans (like hotel bookings or addresses) to show the officer. There's no need to update the DS-160, as minor changes like this can be clarified during the interview. Subscribe & All the best for your interview :)

Hey bro. B1/B2 Visa - I do not have any relatives or friends in USA. I am a recently graduated international student in Canada from India. In DS160 Contact person name in the U.S - I chose Do Not Know and then chose a Hotel for where I will land. What can I use as my purpose of visit? Thanks Add: I have put my birthday next year as expected date of arrival, and length of stay 3 days.
For the purpose of visit, you can choose "Tourism" or "Business and Tourism (B1/B2)" depending on your actual intent. Since you're planning to stay for only 3 days, you can mention that your trip is primarily for sightseeing and exploring popular attractions or attending a brief event/conference (if applicable). During the interview, if asked, you can explain: You recently graduated and are taking a short trip as a tourist to visit a specific city, landmarks, or attractions in the U.S. Provide details of your travel plan, like the hotel booking you mentioned and the places you'd like to visit. It’s perfectly fine that you don’t have relatives or friends in the U.S.-just ensure your purpose and plans are clear, concise, and supported by your documentation. If they inquire about your ties to Canada or India, emphasize your recent graduation, PGWP application, and your intent to return to Canada after the short trip. Hit Subscribe :) and all the best !!
Hi bro i have question I am in student in canada in private college and apply for USA visa and my appointment on 4 Feb 2025 and my study permit expire on 30 April 2025 is now i am take admission in public college is there any problem like if they can ask a question to me you are in private college and not eligible for Work permit please reply what answer should i give please reply
Hi Nikita, If the U.S. visa officer asks about your enrollment in a private college or your study permit status, you can respond by explaining that you chose the private college because the program aligns well with your academic and career goals. You can mention that your current study permit is valid until April 30, 2025, and you are planning to transition to a public college soon to further your education and maintain your legal status in Canada. While you understand that attending a private college does not make you eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), your primary focus is on successfully completing your studies and building the necessary skills for your future. You are following all Canadian immigration policies carefully and have a clear plan to extend your study permit and continue your academic journey. This demonstrates your intent to return to Canada after your visit to the U.S. and your commitment to complying with the rules of both countries. Subscribe :). All the best!

@@sonudhanda9574 Don't worry if your interview date is too far from now, you will have to fill out a new DS-160 (Free or charge), and don't worry about the planned dates and interview ones, you can anyhow fill a new one before your interview (1-2 days before your interview). I don't see any link to update my recent info on the DS160 form. I have changed jobs so do I need to fill out a new ds160 form and cancel the existing appointment and apply for a new one?
You don’t need to cancel your existing appointment to update your DS-160 form. If you’ve changed jobs and want to reflect the updated information, follow these steps: Fill out a new DS-160 form with your updated details and get the new confirmation number. Log in to your visa appointment portal and update the DS-160 confirmation number linked to your appointment. You don’t need to cancel your appointment; just update the new DS-160 number. If you're unable to update it online, carry both the old and new DS-160 forms to the interview and explain the changes to the consular officer. They typically focus on current and accurate information during the interview. Subscribe & all the best for your interview :)
Hi my question is i am on workpermit and i got my workpermit approved on dec 4 but still i havent the digital workpermit so it will be any problem if i print the one that i got on my mail.
I have my brothers appointment, he is 16 years old and visitor in Canada, can i go with him to the interview ? What docs i need and i am travelling to US in march i already have visa; I cant leave him alone here- will visa be issued ?
Hi Harman, Your question is quite broad, let me try to reply- Can you attend the interview? Yes, most U.S. consulates allow a parent, guardian, or sibling to accompany minors (under 18) to their visa interviews. However, the consulate may limit your role to providing support and answering questions about his guardianship or travel plans. You won’t be allowed to speak on his behalf unless asked. Documents you need: For yourself: Your passport (showing your valid U.S. visa). Proof of guardianship: A letter from your parents stating you are the guardian for your brother during his stay in Canada (optional but helpful). Proof of relationship: Birth certificates or other documents showing you are siblings. For your brother: His passport. DS-160 confirmation page (for his visa application). Visa appointment confirmation page. Proof of visitor status in Canada: His visitor record or stamp. Travel plans: Details of his U.S. trip, such as flight tickets, itinerary, or who he will be visiting. Parental consent letter: A signed and notarized letter from your parents authorizing your brother to travel to the U.S. and confirming your role as his guardian. Supporting documents: Evidence of financial support, ties to home country (e.g., proof of return to Canada or home country), and purpose of visit. Hit Subscribe :)
Hi bro i have interview next week along with my wife, but my concern is i don’t have Canada TRV on passport yet, but i have 3 years pgwp and 2nd my wife is on implied status fr work permit extension on my dependent. Is it concerning?
Hi Bro- Not Having a Canada TRV on Your Passport you can explain: The Canada TRV is primarily for re-entry into Canada. Since you are already in Canada and hold a valid PGWP, not having a TRV should not directly affect your U.S. visa application. Focus on the fact that you are a legal resident in Canada with a valid PGWP, and demonstrate strong ties to Canada (e.g., employment, lease agreements, bank statements, etc.). Bring proof of your PGWP and any documents showing your intent to return to Canada after your U.S. visit. Implied status in Canada means that your wife is legally allowed to stay and work while waiting for the decision on her work permit extension. This is a legitimate status under Canadian immigration law. Bring proof of her implied status, such as the work permit extension application receipt and her previous valid work permit. Subscribe :) And all the best !!

Hi, glad you found it useful. you "MUST" go for the interview, don't skip it at all, it doesn't matter, all work permits have expiry dates, so it's normal, you have a Canadian VISA, you're just taking a USA visitor VISA from them, that's it, pretty straight. Go for it. All the best. Make sure your DS-160 is up to date. Hit the subscribe button. All the best!!
@@Akuzion-rb1ft Hi, I'm unsure whether to attend the interview. My work permit had expired, and they mentioned I didn't have strong ties to Canada since they couldn't provide me with a US visa. I didn't get the visa, though my husband and baby both have Canadian passports, which I mentioned.

Hey ! I applied for my b1/b2 visa and at first i chose Ottawa as my preferred location and got an appointment there but after sometime i got early date for Toronto location and I accepted that !! So did i have to make any changes to my DS-160 form now or the old one is good ? Please help me .
Hi Aarni, If you attend the interview with an outdated DS-160 that doesn't reflect your current work permit status, the visa officer might raise concerns about discrepancies. This could lead to delays or even denial of your visa application. So If you have switched from a study permit to a work permit and your circumstances have changed since submitting your original DS-160 form for a U.S. visa, you typically need to fill out a new DS-160 form. ____ Start a New DS-160: Visit the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) and fill out a new DS-160 form with your updated details. Update Your Appointment Profile: After completing the new DS-160 form, log in to your U.S. visa appointment profile and update the DS-160 confirmation number (starting with "AA") for your appointment. This step is crucial for ensuring the correct form is linked to your interview. In some cases, the system may not allow direct updates. If this happens, contact the visa application support center or the U.S. Embassy/Consulate for guidance. Carry Both DS-160 Forms to the Interview (Optional): If you’re unsure whether the new DS-160 was successfully updated in the system, carry both the old and new DS-160 confirmation pages to the interview for reference.
Flagpoling is a legal process to activate a new work permit in Canada, and it shouldn't affect your immigration status or future applications. However, there are some risks and considerations to be aware of like - border denials, and eligibility. As I am not sure about your case, recommend you to call them and confirm once. Hit Subs... All the best :)

Hi, thank you for the informative video I have my US visitor visa interview tomorrow (12dec 2024) When i applied i was student and i have completed my studies on 25th Aug 2024 and now i am on PGWP applied status, but i have my study permit valid till 31st dec 2024 I also have employment letter with all the details Please let me know what i can say if they ask me for my legal status in Canada. And should i mention that i have employment letter if i am saying PGWP applied status. Kindly please reply asap
If the U.S. visa officer asks about your legal status in Canada during your interview, you should clearly and confidently explain your current status. Since you have both a valid study permit and are on PGWP applied status, you can provide a response like this: What to say about your status: "I have recently completed my studies in Canada as of August 25, 2024. I have applied for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and I am currently on implied status while waiting for my PGWP approval. My study permit is still valid until December 31, 2024, which also supports my legal status in Canada." This statement shows that your status is clear, legitimate, and well-documented. It also indicates that you have taken the necessary steps to remain in compliance with Canadian immigration laws. Should you mention the employment letter? Yes, but only if they ask about your employment or financial ties. If the officer asks for proof of ties to Canada or evidence of your purpose after graduation, you can say: "I have already secured employment in Canada and have an offer letter to demonstrate this." This shows that you have strong ties to Canada, which strengthens your case as a "genuine visitor" for the U.S. interview. If the officer doesn't ask about employment, you don't need to bring it up on your own. Don't forget to hit Subscribe :) All the best!!!
@@silentNikka Thank you so much for the detailed and quick response, i appreciate it 😊. Also want to clarify below - I have applied for a US Visitor Visa in May 2024, i have DS 160 confirmation page for this year (2024) only , still do i need to fill in the new DS160 form?
No, you don’t need to fill out a new DS-160 form just because your travel plans have expired. The DS-160 form is not binding, and minor changes, like updated travel dates or plans, can be explained during your visa interview. If asked about your travel plans, you can mention the updated itinerary and show any new supporting documents (e.g., revised hotel bookings or updated travel dates). However, if there are other significant changes, such as your job, personal information, or purpose of travel, you may consider filling out a new DS-160 form and linking it to your appointment. For expired travel plans alone, carrying updated documents to the interview is sufficient. Subscribe and all the best :)

Hey Jasmeen - For a U.S. visa interview, it's important that the DS-160 form confirmation location aligns with the actual consulate where you will attend your interview. But I also have my study permit till April, 2025. So my question is If visa officer will ask me about my status in Canada. What I will answer? I’m on applied status or on study permit Or what?
In your case, if a U.S. visa officer asks about your status in Canada during the interview, you should explain that you are currently on applied status for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and still have a valid study permit until April 2025. A good way to respond could be: "I recently completed my studies in Canada and have applied for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). This clarifies your status and shows that you are in a legitimate transition phase from study to work in Canada. Do Subscribe :)

Hey I have a question When I applied for US visa I was a student ( study permit) now my study permit is expired and on PGWP implied status , also when I applied I opted for Ottawa as location but right now I am in Calgary I choose that will it affect any thing in my interview? What if they ask me my legal status ? Do I need to fill new form with my current employment status? Please do reply me thank you so much sir!
When you applied for your U.S. visa, you were a student holding a valid study permit, but since then, your study permit has expired, and you are now on implied status as you await the processing of your Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Implied status is recognized under Canadian immigration laws, allowing you to remain and work legally in Canada while your application is being reviewed. If asked about your legal status during the interview, you can confidently explain this and provide supporting documentation, such as your PGWP application confirmation and proof of your previous study permit. As for the change in location, moving from Ottawa to Calgary should not negatively affect your visa application, as long as you explain the reason for the relocation and show that your intentions for the U.S. visit remain unchanged. Regarding updating your DS-160 form, if your employment status has changed (e.g., from a student to employed under implied status), it is recommended to fill out a new DS-160 form with accurate details and bring the updated confirmation page to the interview. This ensures the information the U.S. consulate has on file reflects your current circumstances. Subscribe :) & all the best. Thanks !!

However, if you've already submitted the form with the old passport number and updated the passport number in the appropriate sections of the visa appointment system (like the U.S. Travel Docs profile), this is usually sufficient as the consulate cross-references both the DS-160 and the appointment details. Bring Both Passports to the Interview: Since the DS-160 contains the old passport number, bring both the new and old passports to your interview. The visa officer can manually update the information during the interview if needed. This is a common scenario when someone has recently renewed their passport. Creating a New DS-160 Form: You could submit a new DS-160 form with the updated passport number, but the confirmation number will change. In that case, you would need to update the new DS-160 confirmation number in your U.S. Travel Docs profile before your interview. However, since your interview is tomorrow morning, it might be too close to the appointment time to do this without causing confusion. Next Steps: If you choose to stick with the current DS-160 form, simply explain the situation at the interview and show both the old and new passports. This should suffice in most cases. If you want to create a new DS-160, make sure you update the new confirmation number in your appointment profile tonight. But again, this is not strictly necessary. _____ My recommendation is to bring both passports and explain the situation to the visa officer during the interview. Visa officers are familiar with these situations, and you should be fine. All the best to both of you !! Do Subscribe :)
@@silentNikka - Thank you for the response! It was really helpful and accordingly everything went well. Thanks again for the video and guiding through! :) 😇🙏
It won't affect but prepare for the answer to show your return intentions: It’s crucial to demonstrate that you will return to Canada after your US visit, so documents showing strong ties to Canada will help. You can say as I college or office permissions to return and continue work or give exams here I need to be back within two weeks etc. Applied work permit status is not an issue. All the best. (do subscribe :D)
NO, my status is the same and they said you have to get a status in Canada first, otherwise you can reapply for your appointment from your home country.
Hey, i applied for us visa when I was at my study permit , I have appointment next week and now I’m on my work permit , so do I have to change in ds-160 or what’s your suggestion?
After filling the new ds-160, do we also need to update it on our appointment portal? because someone said that to do so we would first need to cancel the appointment only after that it could be updated. Is that so? Or can I just carry both DS-160 forms without updating the number for the new one on the appointment portal? Please advise. Thanks!
Yes, after filling out a new DS-160, you should ideally update the DS-160 confirmation number on your appointment portal to match the new form. The U.S. consulate requires the DS-160 confirmation number listed in your appointment record to match the one you bring to the interview. U.S. appointment systems allow you to log into your portal and edit the DS-160 confirmation number without canceling your appointment. Look for an "Edit" or "Update DS-160" option in the portal.
Is it compulsory to edit ds160 form I applied my visa may 2024 on that time I was student but now I am on applied status I have my interview in January 2025 @@silentNikka
@@silentNikkacan I give my interview on applied status.on 31st of December 2024 my study permit will be expired can I take with print which I get mail from ircc which show that I am on applied status
Hiii I just have few questions. When I have applied for usa appointment at that time, I was on study permit and now I have my appointment in January 2025 and I am on applied status of work permit. I didnt receive my work permit uptill now. So it is better to reschedule appointment or I can appear for interview? There will be any chaces of rejection? Also let me know about updating new ds 160, if I appear for interview?
Yes, You Can Appear: You can still attend your U.S. visa interview even if you are on applied status for a work permit. Visa officers are familiar with the process of transitioning from a study permit to a work permit in Canada. Provide Supporting Documentation: Be prepared to explain your current status and provide evidence such as: A copy of your study permit. Proof that you have applied for the work permit (e.g., receipt from IRCC). Employment offer or letter if applicable, to show your intent to work. No Need to Reschedule. Documents to Bring to the Interview: Both old and new DS-160 confirmation pages (if updated). Proof of your applied status for the work permit. Study permit and proof of study completion. Employment letter or job offer, if available. Ties to Canada (lease agreement, family ties, etc.). Update DS-160: File a new DS-160 and update your appointment to reflect your current status.
Hi there! I have my interview on 29 October 2024. Also my study permit of Canada is gonna expired on November 30, 2024. I will apply for the extension after some days. Is it gonna affect on the USA visa?
You generally don't need a temporary resident visa (TRV) to enter the United States from Canada if you're traveling solely to the United States and back to Canada. This is because of the TRV exemption policy R190(3)(f) in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. However, you should have a valid TRV if you're traveling by air.

Hi brother, I am on an applied PGWP status, and I have not received my work permit yet, and my visa interview is next month. So I have to tell them that I have strong ties to Canada and that I will come back. So what should I say to them as I am already living on a lease in Toronto for 1 year? Should I tell them about the lease? As for the work, I only do Uber as an income, so what explanation should I give them so it looks convincing to them? Thank you for the video.
Mentioning your lease in Toronto can definitely help show strong ties to Canada. Although they won't a you such things during the interview, it will be quite short, they have documents with them. The only thing you have to care is- stay confident & smiling during the interview, they ask, your purpose- you can say you want to visit NYC, Las Vegas ... places, that's it. And if they ask such questions- then only mention- that you have been interviewed here with few companies and as per your status, you will be getting a job in that case, you will have to come back within 1-2 weeks as per VISA restrictions. All the best
Hey bro i have an appointment in 7 days right now I am on applied status for pgwp but havent received any decisions yet. Is it good to attend the scheduled appointment or just reschedule it ?
Hey Man, It's generally okay to attend your U.S. B1/B2 visa interview even if you're currently on applied status for a Post-grad work permit in Canada, but you can consider few important factors: - During your visa interview, you'll likely be asked about your current status in Canada. Be prepared to explain that you're on applied status for the PGWP and awaiting a decision. Have your confirmation letter or any documentation related to your PGWP application ready in case the officer asks for it, including your VISA document. You will make it. All the best!!

Add: I have put my birthday next year as expected date of arrival, and length of stay 3 days.
During the interview, if asked, you can explain:
You recently graduated and are taking a short trip as a tourist to visit a specific city, landmarks, or attractions in the U.S.
Provide details of your travel plan, like the hotel booking you mentioned and the places you'd like to visit.
It’s perfectly fine that you don’t have relatives or friends in the U.S.-just ensure your purpose and plans are clear, concise, and supported by your documentation. Hi Nikita,
If the U.S. visa officer asks about your enrollment in a private college or your study permit status, you can respond by explaining that you chose the private college because the program aligns well with your academic and career goals.

Fill out a new DS-160 form with your updated details and get the new confirmation number.
Log in to your visa appointment portal and update the DS-160 confirmation number linked to your appointment.

Hi Harman, Your question is quite broad, let me try to reply-
Can you attend the interview?
Yes, most U.S. consulates allow a parent, guardian, or sibling to accompany minors (under 18) to their visa interviews.
However, the consulate may limit your role to providing support and answering questions about his guardianship or travel plans. You won’t be allowed to speak on his behalf unless asked.
Documents you need:
For yourself:
Your passport (showing your valid U.S. visa).
Proof of guardianship: A letter from your parents stating you are the guardian for your brother during his stay in Canada (optional but helpful).
Proof of relationship: Birth certificates or other documents showing you are siblings.
For your brother:
His passport.

Hi bro i have interview next week along with my wife, but my concern is i don’t have Canada TRV on passport yet, but i have 3 years pgwp and 2nd my wife is on implied status fr work permit extension on my dependent. Is it concerning?
Hi Bro-
Not Having a Canada TRV on Your Passport you can explain: The Canada TRV is primarily for re-entry into Canada.
Bring proof of her implied status, such as the work permit extension application receipt and her previous valid work permit.

does it affect if you are on your work permit and if your work permit is for a year?
No it doesn't affect. You're just requesting for a visitor VISA. Go for it.
Hello, do we have to fill out a new DS160 if we switch from study permit to work permit or can we edit the same DS160 form?
Hi Aarni,
If you attend the interview with an outdated DS-160 that doesn't reflect your current work permit status, the visa officer might raise concerns about discrepancies. This could lead to delays or even denial of your visa application. So If you have switched from a study permit to a work permit and your circumstances have changed since submitting your original DS-160 form for a U.S. visa, you typically need to fill out a new DS-160 form.
____
Start a New DS-160:
Visit the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) and fill out a new DS-160 form with your updated details.
Update Your Appointment Profile:
After completing the new DS-160 form, log in to your U.S. visa appointment profile and update the DS-160 confirmation number (starting with "AA") for your appointment. This step is crucial for ensuring the correct form is linked to your interview.
In some cases, the system may not allow direct updates. If this happens, contact the visa application support center or the U.S. Embassy/Consulate for guidance.
Carry Both DS-160 Forms to the Interview (Optional):
If you’re unsure whether the new DS-160 was successfully updated in the system, carry both the old and new DS-160 confirmation pages to the interview for reference.
Hi, is there any problem if i got my work permit via flagpole?
Flagpoling is a legal process to activate a new work permit in Canada, and it shouldn't affect your immigration status or future applications. However, there are some risks and considerations to be aware of like - border denials, and eligibility. As I am not sure about your case, recommend you to call them and confirm once.

Hi, how many days it might take to receive our US visit visa Passport after it is approved. If we choose delivery to home by post. Let me know please. Thank you.
Hi! The processing time for US visa delivery varies, but it usually takes 7-10 working days. 🙌
Hi! one quick question, if we do not fill the new form and carry the old form and provide the documents the updated ones on the spot, is that ok too??? Thanks in advance.
It is recommended to fill out a new DS-160 if something important has changed in status. Filling a new DS-160 is free and easy. All the best!

@ Okay!! So if we fill the new form can we change the tentative dates to visit US ? Also, we can give the new form while giving them the interview?? And the confirmation code will change. So does it affect ??
Sir are on study visa when you apply USA visa …?
No, I was on work permit.
Hi, thank you for the informative video
I have my US visitor visa interview tomorrow (12dec 2024)
When i applied i was student and i have completed my studies on 25th Aug 2024 and now i am on PGWP applied status, but i have my study permit valid till 31st dec 2024
I also have employment letter with all the details
Please let me know what i can say if they ask me for my legal status in Canada. And should i mention that i have employment letter if i am saying PGWP applied status.
Kindly please reply asap
If the U.S. visa officer asks about your legal status in Canada during your interview, you should clearly and confidently explain your current status. Since you have both a valid study permit and are on PGWP applied status, you can provide a response like this:
What to say about your status:
"I have recently completed my studies in Canada as of August 25, 2024. I have applied for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and I am currently on implied status while waiting for my PGWP approval. My study permit is still valid until December 31, 2024, which also supports my legal status in Canada."
This statement shows that your status is clear, legitimate, and well-documented. It also indicates that you have taken the necessary steps to remain in compliance with Canadian immigration laws.
Should you mention the employment letter?
Yes, but only if they ask about your employment or financial ties. If the officer asks for proof of ties to Canada or evidence of your purpose after graduation, you can say:
"I have already secured employment in Canada and have an offer letter to demonstrate this."
This shows that you have strong ties to Canada, which strengthens your case as a "genuine visitor" for the U.S. interview. If the officer doesn't ask about employment, you don't need to bring it up on your own.
Don't forget to hit Subscribe :) All the best!!!
Do not forget to fill a new DS-160 and carry it with you.
@@silentNikka Thank you so much for the detailed and quick response, i appreciate it 😊.

@@kaushikeebhawsarhow did your interview go?
It got approved :)@@noorbatra7011
do i need to fill new form, if my travel plans have expired?

Hey Jasmeen - For a U.S. visa interview, it's important that the DS-160 form confirmation location aligns with the actual consulate where you will attend your interview. Since your DS-160 lists Toronto as the confirmation location but your interview is scheduled in Vancouver, you may need to complete a new DS-160 form with Vancouver as the designated location. Hiie I have applied for my visa in April 2024 at that time I was student and now I have completed my studies and I have applied for my work permit I just have the work authorisation letter … and my interview is now on 14 January 2025 so can you please suggest me what should I tell them if they ask me something regarding that
Hi Garima
If asked about your status in Canada, you can explain:
"When I applied for the U.S. visa in April 2024, I was a student. I have since completed my studies in August 2024 and have applied for my Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). While my work permit is being processed, I am currently on implied status, which allows me to stay and work in Canada."
Work Authorization Letter:
Mention that you have received a work authorization letter, which allows you to work legally while awaiting the official work permit. Present this letter if requested.
Legal Status in Canada: You are in Canada legally under implied status as your PGWP is being processed.
Purpose of U.S. Visit: Be clear about the purpose of your trip to the U.S. and ensure it aligns with the requirements of the B1/B2 visa.
Ties to Canada: Highlight strong ties to Canada, such as:
Your recent completion of studies.
Pending work permit application.
Any job offers or ongoing job search.
Other commitments like housing or family in Canada.
______
Why did your status change since applying for the visa?
"I applied for my U.S. visa while I was still a student. Since then, I have completed my studies and have applied for a work permit. This is a common process for international students in Canada transitioning to work."
What is your current legal status in Canada?
"I am currently on implied status, which means I am legally allowed to stay and work in Canada while my Post-Graduation Work Permit application is being processed."

A good way to respond could be:
"I recently completed my studies in Canada and have applied for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). While I am currently waiting for the PGWP approval, my study permit is valid until April 2025."
This clarifies your status and shows that you are in a legitimate transition phase from study to work in Canada.

When I applied for US visa I was a student ( study permit) now my study permit is expired and on PGWP implied status , also when I applied I opted for Ottawa as location but right now I am in Calgary I choose that will it affect any thing in my interview?
Thanks !!

@silentNikka - Hello there, thank you so much for the video. Just had one question. Me and my spouse have an appointment tomorrow, and she recently received her new passport as the old one was due for expiry in April 2025. Meanwhile , we have updated the passport number in the portion provided, but the DS160 still has the old passport number. So, how do we get the DS160 with the updated passport number? Also, if we submit a new one the application number changes, hence worried if i still need to do it? Pls help, as the appointment is tomorrow morning. Thank you!
Sure, first of all don't worry - you can follow :
Updating the DS-160 Form: Unfortunately, once a DS-160 form is submitted, it cannot be changed. The passport number in the DS-160 cannot be directly edited.
Next Steps:
If you choose to stick with the current DS-160 form, simply explain the situation at the interview and show both the old and new passports. This should suffice in most cases.
If you want to create a new DS-160, make sure you update the new confirmation number in your appointment profile tonight. But again, this is not strictly necessary.
_____
My recommendation is to bring both passports and explain the situation to the visa officer during the interview. Visa officers are familiar with these situations, and you should be fine.
All the best to both of you !!

Hey do we need trv for USA interview or to enter in USA
You generally don't need a temporary resident visa (TRV) to enter the United States from Canada if you're traveling solely to the United States and back to Canada. This is because of the TRV exemption policy R190(3)(f) in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. However, you should have a valid TRV if you're traveling by air.

Yes, it should arrive within 10 days after the interview. But Canada post's strike might affect it, may be use a private courier.

Hi,
I have an upcoming US tourist visa appointment Oct 10th but I was laid off last month in my job.
At the time of visa interview I ll be unemployed. Can you please tell me if it will be a problem? Or any tips to navigate this situation?
Im canadian pr, indian passport holder.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, won't be any issues, they will simple ask your purpose of visit, tell them you want to visit some tourist attractions like NYC etc. But if they ask how long, then mention I have some interviews lined up and have to get back on short notice, as I have to join here.
It won't be an issue.

I said I'm unemployed currently, they asked how i am supporting myself financially? I replied i am getting ei to financially support myself. Also I had upcoming interviews and I mentioned it to them. I also took a print out of upcoming interview invitation (but they didn't see any documents)

Go for the interview, DO NOT MISS IT. it doesn't matter if your study permit is expiring or not, but make sure you update your DS-160 accordingly. Study & work permits have expiry dates, so it will expire. Answer transparently. Hit Subs.... all d best.

B1/B2 visa interview even if you're currently on applied status for a Post-grad work permit in Canada, but you can consider few important factors:
- During your visa interview, you'll likely be asked about your current status in Canada. Be prepared to explain that you're on applied status for the PGWP and awaiting a decision. Have your confirmation letter or any documentation related to your PGWP application ready in case the officer asks for it, including your VISA document. You will make it. All the best!!
