    This video was really helpful. Same issue with my 2014 Boxster and was able to fix following the steps in the video. A couple notes for anyone else attempting this:
    There is no need to disconnect the wiring to either the glove box or the air bag, there is enough slack in the wires to just lay them on the floor.
    I found you also need to remove the one air duct blocking the controller from the back, there is just one plastic screw and the it can be pulled off.

    Thanks great video helped diagnose problem and the part number is the correct part required to fix the blower problem. I managed to remove the controller without removing the glove box and cup holders by removing just the sound proofing under the glove box, access is tight but with a little patience it is possible. I hope this helps anyone suffering a similar problem in the future.

    No need to remove glovebox. Just remove foam insulation underneath!

    The handle on my glove box has broken off and the glove box is stuck closed. Would it be possible to remove the glove box without it being open? 2014 Cayman S

      yes, I think so (can´t remember). But you will have limited access to the screws at 5:10, thats your problem...
