I would do child support but tweak the amount using mc command center or if you have sims bank mod make a bank account to put the child support money in and only use it for stuff for the kid.

adopted or foster children who have had neglectful or abusive parents may have rebellious behavior as a protective mechanism or test. maybe duane is going through a rebellious phase because he believes noelani’s love or care is conditional and she’ll treat him like his parents did or abandon him. it’s better to find out now before he gets properly attached, then get hurt or disappointed later. i know this isn’t a heavy storyline based series but it can be fun to try and make sense of sims’ behavior rather than it be random
now do we know for sure that baby’s dominic’s though bc she was hunching on makoa too 😭 makoa already a deadbeat father so maybe we shouldn’t even find out. to quote shakespeare, when in doubt pick the man with the juiciest wallet.

I'm loving this laid back series! If Noelani has the "child of the ocean" trait, she can summon the island elementals, spirits. They watch over the islands and can give our girl some guidance. However, they are very judge(y) and if she makes them angry she will feel their wrath. She can also bring them back to life if she chooses.
As for Duane, you could change his likes/dislikes, if he likes dancing add some music to the house or give him a soccer ball. They really like that and it's also great for fitness.
I feel like once Duane finds his path he’s gonna realize how awesome Noelani was to take him in and he’ll get serious about helping out around the house (and with his new sibling!)

He can read a book to get his fun up. You mentioned he should read the charisma book so he can help with the yard sales. Swimming in the ocean is also fun.

Ashley … I am a huge fan of your LPs and what has me tuning in every time is your creative video editing. That music while Noelani had a rock head had me in tears 😂
I think you should have Dominic move in with them so that they can all be a “big happy family” which is ironic since both the parents hook up with everyone and are bops 🤭. It’s kinda cute to think that that way Dominic would be like a father figure to Duane and he could help noelani “discipline” him since he’s been having those annoying ass phases. Another reason for you to have Dominic move in with them is that noelani is gonna be able to afford her modern beach house you talked about a few episodes ago and even if this is kinda cheaty and unrealistic it’s your game and your rules and you decide girl! I also wanted to point out that we should finnaly have noelanis dad be featured in the lp since he’s gonna get a grandchild and noelani proved him enough!
Plus if Dominic gets annoying she can just kick him out lol. This is a princess, a former one sure, but there’s no way she wouldn’t put her foot down if she needed to!

I actually disagree with this in a way because Dominic doesn't want a child right now. Also, the way you're thinking about it defeats the whole purpose of the challenge. I think it's better if they co parent. Maybe, even letting the child spend a week or weekend with Dominic when he gets older could also be an option if Dom even wants to bond with his son. I don't see Dom settling down any time soon. Noelani either. Also, there's still Makaio who Noelani might have a better relationship with. I also like the fact that at least Noelani and Makaio have taken a slightly slower approach which is a better foundation to build a relationship on. Dominic is a player and it says so in his bio. Essentially, Noelani f'd around and found out lol I don't think the two of them should be together in the end.... though sometimes people change. But a big happy family between them is a fairy tale and fairy tales don't exist.
Maybe Duane is rebelling, because he misses home.
Loving this series so much lol you should get a wind turbine to make energy because they work at night too, the solar panel only works in the daytime and you're not making enough energy to store them to use at night. You can see your energy and water usage in the mailbox and set it to store the energy you make

i think you should give Dom a residence key and let him come by and visit whenever he likes, and see if he actually is interested in noelani and if they should get together(don't forget grandma!!!)

You could coparent with Dominique sending the baby to his residence for a few days and then keeping the baby at your residence for a few days. That way you’re still be able to focus on building wealth.

You can give Duane a nature aspiration (like Angling Ace since he’s gonna bd doing the fishing) and that’ll give him the collector trait which makes it more likely for Sims to find rarer collectibles.

Hi Ash!! I love your series and I am cracking up at every single one of your videos. My suggestion for Dom and Nalani is for them to have a relationship but live apart. Just because she got pregnant with his child, does not mean they need to super speed their relationship and for what I’ve seen, they are not that serious right now so I think it would be best for him to provide child support while dating Nalani and then decide later if they want to become serious or get married or whatever. XOXO!
