Hello Kathy! I just turned-up in the lounge. But if you are travelling during summer, I would suggest to pre-book your reservation to ensure the slot in the lounge. 😊
Is escape lounge better or 1903 lounge better at 7am access ? Will it be much quieter in December if I travel from T2? I considering getting a priority pass better to access the lounge for 3 hrs be better then paying full price.
Hello Edward, never tried the escape lounge in T2. But I think 1903 is better considering the number of hotmeals available. Priority Pass is good if you think that you can maximise the use of it.
Frequent long haul flier from this terminal - Escape lounge in mornings with Priority pass is nearly impossible to access, always fully booked and I only ever get 30mins before I have to leave for my gate (wait list phone queue system), and I’m a solo traveller- never once was I offered to upgrade and pay extra to go to 1903- which I would have! So, this next trip in a few days I paid the £55 for 1903, ignoring my priority pass as it isn’t guaranteed, and it may be fully booked in 1903 so unable to upgrade at the desk. Don’t risk it!! Not worth it. Hence I booked in advance. 3x glasses of champagne covers the cost and that’s what I like 😋. I once waited in a nearby bar for the queue to accept me into Escape using my priority pass and I think I spent £40 very quickly on subpar drinks / food in a noisy child environment- never again! I dislike Escape, unless free, as the place is very busy in mornings and low end drinks & nibbles. It’s okay for free if you are not trying to kill 2.5hrs before long haul.
Would you recommend the lounge as a start to our holiday at lunchtime for 3pm flight? We won’t land the other end until close to midnight so I’m guessing not many refreshments waiting.
Hello! I do recommend this lounge. 1903 offers wide selection of food. Be it cold or warm meals. Warm meals are the best! When it comes to drinks, the centre bar is stocked of full complimentary branded alcoholic drinks. 😊
@SirD83 I think chef for both lounges are the same. They are next to each other. Personally, the only difference is that 1903 has more available warm meal than Escape.😊 This is based on my experience between T2 1903 Lounge vs Escape Lounge in T3. You can check my lounge review in T3. Escape is also good but less option of food, but still great. 😊
@@roamwithjerome thank you for your kind details. I’m getting so much of a mixed reaction from research but it is going to be like 15 hours from leaving home to arriving at the resort and I can’t see the food around midnight.
Hello! Never had any experience flying that too early. But I supposed it should be a good experience to start your flight. Knowing the variations of food they served during lunch and afternoon, I think the standard for breakfast should also be the same! 😊
Hello! It’s free and unlimited if you have card like american express that gives you lounge access. Once inside, everything is free. Walk-in guest are welcome for a fee prior enterinh the lounge.
Hello! Comparing this lounge internationally, this lounge is still above than the average lounge. Though some of food table can be cleaned, the lounge itself offers wide selection of warm meal and drinks. 😊
Hello! I definetly agree with you! Lounges are awesome! But I’m always having a bad experience in the airport security itself! Feels like I’m living in the old days. Very outdated airport compare to other european countries.
Yes MAN is an old airport terminal and wasn’t expanded to deal with the post-9/11 security requirements so the security hall is very small and cramped. New terminal coming in a couple of years though.
@@thespiritsafe Terminal 2 is almost brand new and theyre still working on it. its a lot bigger than the old one. loads more shops and places to eat. Always do the escape lounge. food is good and drinks are just the same as the 1903.

Really detailed, thanks for the video - we're visiting soon so it's a great insight as to what we can expect
Thanks for watching the video, William! 👍🏼😊🛫
Did you access the 1903 lounge with your Priority Pass? How much was the additional fee?
Hello Jonni! Yes, I accessed the lounge using my priority pass. Extra 16gbp for using the 1903 Lounge.
❤
👍🏼
Thanks for the video. Did you pre book to ensure access and seating via priority pass for £20 or just turned up?

@SirD83 my pleasure. Enjoy your stay wherever you may end up! And safe trip as well! 🛫
Does anyone know if the lounges are worth it in the early hours? I have to be at the airport at 4:30am

Or you can pay to use the lounge, but you can eat and drink what you want.
Manchester 1903 lounge is very poor. Compared to other airport lounges it's not up to much, on your video the food surfaces could do with a wipedown.

All that unlimited self-pour alcohol in England!! What could possibly go wrong?! Shame the rest of Manchester Airport is such a dump
