We had a fun time filming this first Q and A for you all! Please leave any questions you have for future videos, we would love to answer them! Happy new year!! The Hamms
This was a wonderful Q&A and very informative! I am from Virginia, was a military family member for most of the first 30 years of my life, traveling from coast to coast, lived in Hawaii 10 years, and in the Philippine islands.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting, we really appreciate you! Lots of military people up here for sure and we get so sad when they move away after their 3 years. Did you like moving growing up or was it difficult for you?
@@tammygeorge2756 that makes sense! Moving to Alaska felt strange to me as a 14 year old but it was such a blessing for our family when we made our lives here. 3 of my siblings also found their spouses here. It shaped who I became. Happy new year!
I’m from Mississippi. Would love to see your Alaska. I watch all your adventures and grocery runs. I’m a great grandmama but all my grandkids live hours from me so I look forward to seeing yours everyday. You have a very special family and you are so blessed.
Luna is adorable. 🙂 We are in Oregon but moving up to Alaska February 1st. I lived in Willow, Hope, and Nome for parts of my childhood and am so excited to share Alaska with our kids.
Hi to you both. I'm from Scotland and love watching your channel. It's so interesting to see how you live...I'm surprised by how much time you all spend outdoors. I live in central Scotland and when we do have some bad weather we stay indoors and keep warm. You have a lovely family and your boys are so polite and friendly. Your youngest boy is an absolute delight, he's so funny and sweet. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and keep warm 😀☃️☃️☃️
Hello and welcome! Glad you enjoy coming along! Thank you for watching and I hope you continue to enjoy our videos. Our new channel, @thisalaskalifefamily has more of the day to day adventures now, so you may want to check that out! Thanks for watching!
Love learning more about your family. We live in Kansas right now, but are moving to Anchorage area next year. Would love church recommendations! Thanks for sharing your lives with us.
Oh how funny! We live in VA but also have built a house in Eagle River. We spend a few months in AK each summer but will spend all summers in AK once we retire.
Hi I have only found your site and I am having fun watching all your vlogs I come from Ireland a very long way from you but Alaska is top of my bucket list
Fairly new subscriber here from southwest Florida. When temperatures hit 100+ here in Florida, I always say " I'm moving to Alaska ". I work in Healthcare so I can go anywhere and work. It would be a complete 360 for me.
Minnesota. Your video showed up on my RUclips a week ago abs every time I have downtime I watch a few! I have been to Alaska once but can’t wait to come back! Watching Mark’s now and will check out your other organizing one too!
Hi Brenda! Thank you so much! I am so glad you found us and I am glad you are enjoying the different videos. Hope you have a wonderful week and make your way back up to AK one day!
Hello Kathy! Welcome! We hope you enjoy coming along for a piece of our life up here in Alaska. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, we hope you’ll check out some of our other adventures! - Lauren
Hello from Los Angeles. Watching this years late but very interesting. Where does the ferry go to from Vancouver to Alaska? I just googled and apparently the ferry doesn’t go to Anchorage. I would assume southern coastal Alaska and then how far to Anchorage? Very interesting.
Thankyou Mark, Lauren and liitle Luna for sharing. I am an Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal) and l work as an Aboriginal Nurse making sure this vulnerable sub group (Closing the Gap Health Programme) engage with Health Care providers and preventative health care programmes. I was interested to hear you enjoy your career which is similar to mine and Alaska has programmes for Indigenous peoples. Do you home School because of lockdowns? Or is this something you have been doing prior to 2020?. Great getting to know you both a bit more. 👍
How wonderful! Mark has really enjoyed his job and working with the Alaskan Native community. We are new to homeschooling because of the shutdowns. In Anchorage no kids have gone back to school, neighboring cities have. The boys did not do well with the online school and the homeschool has worked well but they do miss the social interactions. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, means a lot to us! Keep the questions coming, they help us know what to talk about! Happy New Year!
Hello! Wonderful, I love how we can connect from around the US and the world on this platform. Welcome and thank you so much for watching and commenting, it means a lot to me.
