  • Have you ever cut glass tile with a regular tile blade? It can cut it, but the cut will not be pleasing to the eye. For this reason, there are many blades out there specifically designed to cut glass tile with a clean finish.
But a glass tile blade will not cut porcelain well. So usually you'll have to swap out your blade depending on what material your cutting. That is, until now, this is the Zenesis Nano Blade. This blade is specifically made to cut glass coated porcelain tile. I couldn't find any glass coated porcelain tile to cut yet, but that means that this 1 blade can cut both glass tile and porcelain tile.
In this video I put the Zenesis Nano Blade to the test in a real time demonstration. I was pleasantly surprised with how it cut. It was a superior blade for porcelain tile, leaving a virutually flawlless finished cut, even on a high gloss porcelain. It was really impressive cutting glass too. I cut a 1/4" paperbacked glass tile which are usually extremely SLOW to cut, but this blade ripped through it fast and with a clean finish. If I remember correctly the previous glass blade I used, the Alpha glass blade, cut even cleaner than this blade, but extremely slowly on this 1/4" glass. I remember some glass tiles cracking while cutting with the Alpha Glass Blade. So according to my recollection, this blade will save lots of time cutting thick glass with a decent finish.
To show the difference that a blade designed for glass makes, I demonstrate cutting the same glass & porcelain with a standard blade.
After all my tests, I think this Zenesis blade is impressive for cutting porcelain and stone (after I recorded this video, I cut stone with it). As for cutting glass, it cut extremely well too. I was mainly impressed with how fast it cut the 1/4" glass. For glass cuts that will be in a visible area, I just recommend cutting it slower, for a cleaner finish.
This blade does seem handy to not have to switch blades, and I would think it's neccessary for Glass Coated Porcelain, which I haven't seen yet.
What do you think about this blade? What blade would you like to see it compared to?

I purchased it at Arizona Tile, but you can visit the Blade Manufacturers website directly, to see where it's available near you. I put a link to their website in the description of this video👌
