Nice reviews. I fast forwarded to your coverage of the full films.

Very amazing, narural, subtle, nuanced, verbal textures, relaxed, engaging, intelligent, personally accessible, facially and gesturally comfortable; never talking down to the viewer encourages me to want to have my own opinions and see the works reviewed. Face time doesn't distract from taking in the gifted verbal content but helps orchestrate it sort of like a conductor of music. Ambitious scope and comprehensive subject treatment sets this work on its own level.

That's a solid ranking. And congrats on your on-camera debut (assuming it's a debut) - you handle it well. I too liked "Next Floor" short quite a bit. And both Dune films are amazing, second one especially - it's just that refined. That B&W sequence with Feyd-Rautha arena fight is such a visual treat, I still don't quite have fitting words to praise its cinematography and production design enough. I'm glad that we came such a long way from Dune being considered unadaptable to being adapted so well. Hard work pays off.

Wow, really well done! This is not a small project lol. 2049 is my favourite of his, seeing that in the cinema was almost religious for me lol. it's a shame that dune 2 isn't receiving a 3D conversion, since Villeneuve's two previous films were absolutely stunning in that format. Dune 2 is stunning though, amazing film!!

2049 is the movie i regret the most not having seen in the cinema, that's why now i never miss a Denis Villeuneuve film when it comes out in cinemas.

Could you specify which scenes in Dune 1 where you felt Timothy’s acting took you out of the film?

BTW Polytechnique is a big tragedy that happened in Quebec. Not a fiction at all. Incendie is an adaptation of a theatre piece by Wajdi Mouawad. Not his script.

You are unfortunately missing the culture surrounding the non english elements of his work and that makes all the difference in the appreciation of his journey.

Very true. I tried to address that, but you are right. The only perspective I have is my own.
