We've never been to Lake Hope, but I think this may have to move up the list for fall! That train ride looked amazing! That was so cool that you got to ride up front with the engineer!
@@EricJensExcellentEggventure you would love this park. Your Eggventure mobile would really have no issues getting into any site you wanted! Awesome area!
Thanks for Sharing Mike and Joni. Jen and I camped at Lake Hope this summer as well. It was beautiful in the summer also. We canoed on the lake and checked out the Moonville Tunnel and an old school house, both of which were down the road from the dam. The Hope Furnace is worth a visit and there a many trails around for hiking. The campsite lots were tight and sloped. We had a lot of traffic down the camp road that was speeding even after dark. I believe we were on lot 47. I have stayed in the cabins on the hill by the lodge on a number of occasions but this was our only time camping at Lake Hope. Also, the lodge burned down a few years back so this is the new lodge. We've been wanting to check out the train and Nelsonville so perhaps we'll get to take a ride this year. It was great to see you two at Indian Lake this summer.
@@davidmatthews3375 sounds like we need to go back now! So much to do!! We had site 45 and we’d agree about the speeders, even those hauling a camper were moving to fast!! We may need to schedule another trip for 2025
We’ve camping at Lake Hope but it was in one of their rustic cabins. We had a great steak dinner at the lodge. We decided that it would not be a place to try to take the camper so you did a great job getting in there. We’ve done that train ride too but we didn’t get first class seats! Glad Mike didn’t hurt anything trying to be a kid again!
It looked like the trip was a lot of fun except for the actual site, which was a bit tight for your rig. I think atc27' feet with no slides i would have been OK. Mike taking a roll was a bit scary. Take care
Had to drop a pin on that train. That was definitely a interesting site you guys had. I would of never gotten level. With a Class A I will never lift the rear wheel off the ground.
I fall too. Always hurting my pride. 😂

I haven't been to hocking hills since I was a kid with my parents. Looked like the colors were good. The train ride was nice also.
