@@elijahstinnett2429 what gets me is people entitlement. It doesn't matter if you purchased a $500 PC or $5,000 PC. At the end of the day you don't know squat about how any of it works and you're in no position to be making demands of anybody. I look at it the same way I look at vehicle repair. If after you've been driving a vehicle for 100,000 miles your transmission goes out, you don't see anybody screaming at the manufacturer like they had something to do with it. Even if you only had driven it for 30,000, you're still going to contact the dealer, and the dealer is going to contact the manufacturer for a replacement under warranty. It's a process that most definitely isn't instant. And the dealership would handle at the same way this gentleman did, provide you with a loaner that will hold you over until the process is complete. Theres nothing to feel cheated about. Just entitlement.

The big incentive to satisfy customers in the pre-built market isn't to get them to come back, it's to get them to spread the word that you're a good company so others will use you.

The bag works by discharging and static build up through the conductive layer on the outside of the bag, keeping the inside save. Cardboard is pretty anti static so you can just put it on the box or if you want to be extra safe you can use the antistatic just turn it inside out first.

The whole story of New world still makes me chuckle sometimes. While sure, there should have been something in place for the game's menu to not just max up FPS. That was a huge fault on Nvidia's part for not having some kind of Limiter, cap, Failsafe etc to stop the cards from working so hard they'd literally destroy themselves

2 of my EVGA 3080 fans just broke after Diablo 4 (which some people's 3080s/TI's were completely frying in the game for some unknown reason during cutscenes) and I get the guys frustration.
Having anything break on you that you had no control over and are forced to be out of a card for a week or 2 (or 3) is annoying as hell...but at least you gave him a loaner which definitely is great customer service.

As someone who’s frustration comes at times it seems the person thinks it’s directed at them when it’s not. This person might’ve been upset that THEY sent you a faulty one, and then you put it in. It’s not your fault, he could be upset at them for wasting his (and your time) installing it, just to have to get a new one. One that stops him from playing the game he got it for

You shouldn't put a motherboard on top of the anti-static bag. The outside of the bag is conductive, which is what makes the inside anti-static.

I own the same motherboard (micro ATX) with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core (with some oldskool Arctic Silver 5 grease), 32GB RAM, an MSI RTX 4070 Ti Ventus 2X and a 700W oldskool Antec PSU in a sleeper case (HP Prodesk 400 G3 micro tower). The case weights 4 times more and lays down flat. There is no more room in the HP case.
    Gaming on 4K @ 60Hz is dope.
Gaming on 1080P @ 120Hz is also dope.
(on a 65 inch TV in my living room).
The CPU and GPU stay cool @ full load.
Max. temp CPU on hot days = 67°C
Max. temp GPU on hot days = 73°C
I'm happy with my pc 👍

I capped my fps at my monitor refresh rate. It nolonger experiences the over production of FPS during video game menus.
If you experience your graphics card trying to take off into space, I recommend limiting fps in nvidia or amd software. Ingame fps limits don't limit menu fps.

Dude do not put the motherboard on the anti static bag. Most likely won't do anything but the whole point of those bags is to gather any static on the outside and stopping it get to the board. By putting the board on the bag you could be introducing it to static built up on the bag.

I'm getting a $170 motherboard with all the bells and whistles I need, and I have found some nice deals on some RTX 3070 GPUs (I found them just a few hours ago), but since I am building it in June, I will have to see if I have enough money to buy one, otherwise I will be sure to consider your suggestions. So, what are your suggestions? Thanks for the advice.

    • @vrboi6920
      @vrboi6920 Год назад +1

It doesn't really make you sound stubborn as you said yourself that it has what you need my main concern was the original gpu but you found a 3070 which is really good. All I'd say is get higher frequency ram e.g. 3200mhz to 3600mhz as ryzen loves fast memory but only if you have the leftover budget as its only a small difference.

For anyone that is still talking about games breaking cards, it has been confirmed by the manufacturers that it was a hardware issue. And it just happened with Diablo4 beta and gigabyte cards again. Games cannot break your system. PERIOD. The cards needs to have a defect in the first place to brick with what is basically a stresstest.
