    Thank you for this educational video. I just bought my first LED lights set and it only had 2 channels. Now I know what the 3rd channel could offer, for future purchases. My G.T Power kit came in a box and everything had to be connected manually. This kit you bought is already assembled and ready, and has 3 channels, a much better purchase imo and I will surely buy a few of those in the future.

    Thanks for this video. So it looks like the "brake lights" are actually reverse lights since they come on when you hit reverse and the "Blue lights" are the actual brake lights cause they are always on unless you are going forward or reversing.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  5 лет назад +2

      I find the brake lights work fine in actual use because when I just tap reverse a bit the go on and stay on. I do like your idea of using the blue light channel for brakes, might try it out.

    Hi Bob Great Video and thanks for all the build video's, love them . I am interested in doing Wireless lights on my trailer , but for some reason I'm having a problem . First i tried to do the bind with the Flysky i6s that came with my Grand Hauler. So i figured that maybe that the Radio is not capable of running 2 receivers, so i figured since the FS radio is not expensive that id buy the Radio that you're demonstrating in this video the FS-i6 . I followed your instructions which is very simple , but somehow i cannot get the 2 of the receivers to bind and work together, it's either one or the other. I have tried even doing them at the same time and I'm having no luck at all

    • @musoseven8218
      @musoseven8218 4 года назад +1

      @@Veganarchy-Zetetic Hi! That's a very good point - thanks, I figured this out last night too (oh f@$#ing Hell!). They work well - if quality control is okay (sometimes it ain't) - but the leads wouldn't be long enough for my Land Rover body and/or chassis. Also some functions are annoying, Eg indicator function, should be on a Ch4 type two way switch IMHO (who indicates when off roading and every time that they turn the steering wheel). I'm going to try and buy some for a larger off roader (1/7th scale) and see if they'll fit better. But I've no clue exactly how they work, buying blind! At £10.00 though it's worth a risk. Real Tamiya sets (those in the video here are CCP fakes), are awesome, so are one or twp other brands, but at £70-120, with up to 30 lights? Overkill for a 1/10 rock crawler. Shame there wasn't something, mid range, made with decent wire lengths, decent quality, sensible functions for 1/10 models that didn't involve the CCP! Eg at £30-40 or $30-40? Oh well, this set is another false hope product from China, with iffy build quality, faux name tag and doesn't quite work/isn't plug and play for a popular scale (1/10 RC Rock Crawlers) - more madness descends upon the world LOL!

      I don't know know why not. You may have to lengthen the leads for the size.

    Can this light kit be put on an older radio shack r/c pick up I bought this pick up maybe 15 years ago, it’s like brand new I’ve only operated it for maybe a few hours. I’ve recently gotten very interested in the r/c semi’s, I have plans on purchasing one in the very near future. I bought the light kit on eBay with the hope that it can be installed on my pickup.

      Probably won't work with the Radio Shack cars. They use a different style servo hookup that is usually direct wired.

      Should work with any speed control/motor. Operates from the radio signals not the esc.

    Thanks, excellent description of the light system. Too bad it has some inane built in functions. What kind of cars and lights do they have in China??!!

      @@jeroendenhertog4975 Doesn't say Tamiya on it anywhere, but I guess that's the logo. The light functions are still weird. To quote a review on Amazon " There is a set of clear lights that only turn on when the car is going fast. There is also a set of blue lights that are on until you speed up. I thought i could use them for fog lights, but then I realized the 'Brake lights' were really only on when the car was in reverse, so I swapped the blue leds for clear ( the 'go fast lights) them as backup lights instead.
      The headlights and turn signals worked out okay. I ended up not using the 'on when go fast' lights at all."
