- In this clean with me video, I share with you my daily, morning cleaning routine (which goes from about 8 am to 11:30 am). These are the quick chores I do around my home every day to stay on top of the crazy. Raising little people is unpredictable and my family comes first. So I am for 80% of this schedule 80% of the time. But I know when I have a clean house I feel better and it makes our lives simpler and easier. 💚 CLEANING RECIPES (all Dollar Tree!) 💚
MULTI PURPOSE SPRAY
• 1/2 cup vinegar
• 2 cups water
GRANITE CLEANER:
• 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
• 2 cups water
• 6-8 drops Dawn dish soap
• 3-4 drops scented oil (optional)

The microfibre cloths are so great for cleaning. And they wash so well. We colour code ours - blue for bathrooms, red for kitchen, etc.
Perfect idea to keep from accidental cross contamination

I can never keep mine from pilling or keep fibers from its washer/drier mates from gathering on them. Any suggestions?
Simply wash them by hand in a large bucket if pilling bothers you. Otherwise it will continue especially if you wash them in with your towels/bath clothes
All the pilling in the world wouldn't make me handwash! LOL Maybe I will check just out of the washer next time and if there isn't much there, I will air dry.
Watching all that cleaning get done makes ME want to start cleaning right now! HAHAA!

I always clean as I go and I make sure that my kids do the same clean up their mess since it is about I only have one teenager left the other two boys have moved out and do well with their lives. I I have health issues and my last teenager helps me out a great deal. I like a clean house and I like your ideas thank you for sharing

I just love that you are teaching your boys such good habits. I'm constantly shocked at how many of my elementary students do absolutely no chores at home. I was a working, divorced parent and my son still had responsibilities. Love seeing the smiles on your boys... and you, too! Sending love from Atlanta, GA!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what you say at the beginning of this video. It's what I discovered and used to tell new people who came to my 'Hospice Day Care Groupy Thing'. Nobody EVER gets to the end of their life (& let's face it, we're nearer than most to that day) and says "Oh I WISH I had done more dusting!". No-one wants their family and friends to only remember that your house was always spotless, if that's true then no-one's living in that space!!
What a great mom:) I can remember countless times vacuuming and cleaning with my daughter on me. She loved to be held.
I would love to see more cleaning episodes. I find Owen looks just like mommy! I find it so adorable when boys resemble their mothers.

Kathryn, I love the updated music. I literally had no sense of a cleaning routine in the morning, I was all over the place. I would start in the kitchen and get distracted then go to the bedroom. I was so frustrated. Now I literally have watched this multiple times so I can focus as I clean and it has helped a great deal. Thank you.

I have to make my bed every day no matter what! Carson is so cute helping you clean! My 2 year old loves to help me clean too! It's great to start them young...especially when they love helping! One great thing I learned about having an every day cleaning routine is that if you DO skip a day (or even two or three) due to illness, one of those "great weather days," or some other spontaneous event, you know it was at least done very recently, as opposed to "last week" (or even longer!) Just knowing the house isn't a total disaster helps me be more relaxed, and motivates me to "keep it clean." Your videos are always so inspiring! I can't believe how quickly your boys are growing up!
I have learned this as well. I've learned to just clean as I go about the day. It only takes a moment to do things like rinse the toothpaste from the bathroom sink, take a disinfectant wipe to the toilet seat/handle, or get the crumbs off the kitchen table. I don't know why people leave these things until they pile up and become so much more time consuming. (And gross!)

My Dollar Tree had these little blue fluffy dusters with folding handles. I got one, and it was pretty darned good, so I got several more!! One by each tv to dust the screen and equipment and stands, and one to just use whenever I'm going room to room. Then out the door to shake them off, they hold a LOT! Our house is at the top of a hill and it's very windy, so Swiffers and dusters are a lifeline to sanity!
I keep those microfiber cloths in the cars as well. Whenever I go through the car wash I get one out and dust my dash, clean the mirrors, then dry off the windows and lights because they get spots really easily. When one gets grungy, I take it in and wash it. None have worn out yet!
Your kitchen is beautiful! We live in a house that was built in 1908 and the kitchen hasn't been updated in over 30 years (minus the appliances about 10 years ago) so I'm always envious of the beautiful cabinets and granite counter tops I see in updated kitchens haha!

I realized, after moving my stove to clean last week, that's something I should be doing at least twice a year. It was disgusting. However - the Hoover Steam Mop I bought myself for Christmas in 2015 allowed me to mop up all the grime without having to scrub it on my knees. That thing is the BEST gift I've ever given myself.
I think I need a Roomba though!
