Funeral For A Friend is easily one of my favourite bands of all time. With each album, they did something new from helping create the British Post-Hardcore scene with their first album (which had Escape Artists Never Die on it) to pushing that post-hardcore scene into the mainstream with their second album, to a rock opera for their third album. Their 4th album was a mix of pop-rock with some heavier riffs, after they changed bassist. They then released 2 EPs and their 5th album. This is, for me, the time in which they put out their best music. It goes under the radar, even for many FFAF fans, because it was with a different guitarist setup to the first four albums and it was after they left their old record label, so it didn't get pushed onto radio or music channels much at all. Even so, it has some of their most evolved songwriting and some of their catchiest hooks. Their 6th and 7th album were far more hardcore in influence, with much shorter, more intense songs. The variety that this band has while still always being unmistakably FFAF is truly remarkable.
Thank you so much for the reaction to my request. I could only just see it as it was restricted in the UK for a month :) But I loved watching you guys appreciate this incredible track, I love the video so much too! I will send you some more great tracks to check out!
If only you react to the album version that would be so much better because the video version cut out like 40% of song parts and that parts is the best.
