- Sabbath school lesson 2024 titled ‘The Two Witnesses’ - Lesson 6 Q2. In our sixth study in our series on The Great Controversy, we will address the following questions:
Question: Who are the two witnesses in Revelation 11?
Question: Why do you say they are prophets and how do you know that?
Question: What about the interpretation that the two witnesses are symbolic of the Old Testament and the New Testament?
Question: Why do you say that the witnesses were never destroyed when the text clearly says that the were killed?

While the city was trodden upon the Two Witnesses were teaching in sack cloth the WORDS of GOD at the same time. What a mental picture that is.

This is amazing! They could not destroy the "Word" because Jesus - the Word - conquered death and is now in heaven at the right hand of God. It is beautiful and reassuring to study the Word and rightly divide it.

The explanation of the two witnesses was interesting, but the time prophecy of Revelation 11:2-3 are future. The book of Revelation is revealing. It began with "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein". Revelation 11:1. This is talking about 1844, the investigative judgement.
The idea of this book (the book of Revelation) is to begin at a point and go foward, not backward or back and forth. Please see the presentations on Revelation 11 on this Channel.God Bless
Hi theloudcry and thanks for your kind comment and the invitation. The book of Revelation is not entirely chronological, you have to place things in their proper time frames, for instance, Rev.12. Where is that in relation to when the book was written? The same within events that are told to come in the way they are written sometimes. However, we do understand the point of looking forward. John the revelator is one of the two witnesses. He got called to preach to all nations, God doesn't change His mind. He got all the equipment, saw heaven open, ate the little book . met the 24 elders and angels singing in heaven, He saw the animals crying, and John shows up in the whole book of revelation at the beginning to the end.
John was probably reclining on the chest of Jesus when the other disciples were arguing about his place. He was very young a manchild. Revelation 11 and 12 has the two witnesses and their sign in heaven is rev 12 sign. The other one is the Daughter of Zion a woman. Who usually stands beside a king? The queen!
Kings' daughters [were] among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir. - Psalm 45:9 KJV
Yaka one of the witnesses new names they have new names for everyone even the animals. They are the servants of all the kingdom of God so they talk to animals like Dr Doolittle.
One essential significance of the Greek word prophētēs is 'one who speaks forth,' principally, of course, as a forth-teller of the Divine will
The other ones name is in the bible too its Crown. They are singing prophets, the end time judges

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. - Mark 10:44 KJV
They serve all the kingdom of God, preach the gospel to the whole earth, call the animals, call the church to repentance, kick the devils butt till he cries, ease Gods heart since its hard for Him to do judgment, seal everyone with new names, turn over tables, get cast out, turn the hearts of families to God.
There is an exodus so you do need a Moses or two. They are here for the resurrection and the temple they measure is you the church.
They call you with letters to the churches like John prophesied,
The wits are the least of these in the kingdom and baptised with Jesus baptisms so they have all the power of God at work. Look at all the weather thats from their scripture weather songs. They are singing prophets.
