Easily one of the very best episodes, in my view. If you understand what you’re listening to, there’s a lot of depth from Colin and Jim that’s very personal, hilarious, and relatable.
You can really see how Opie started to think everyone was against him. Everybody is laughing and throwing in jokes and every time he tries to it just bombs horribly. Opie somehow has an unshakeable belief that he is funny so the only way to explain the lack of reaction would be that people are against him.
This always cracks me up because I remember being in college when MySpace was still really new. And I always found this a weird dynamic because it never fooled anyone lol. It wasn’t a thing that like millions of men had to fall for before they knew to be “on the lookout”. Guys would just instantly make fun of the iceberg photos 😂😂 Even today I use hook up app and dating apps to get around, and admittedly, I LIKE sleeping with women in their 40s, I actively look at those profiles. But they never know how to filter the photo or anything, so it’s just super obvious when they post photos of maybe the early 2000s or something 😂😂😂 you know- it’s not OLD per se, but the resolution is just a tad murky. Photo tech hadn’t yet figured out how to correct the lighting in photos 😂😂
the lying profile picture thing has only gotten worse in the years to come. I'm happy I met a girl that didn't lie & looked how she came. I couldn't imagine trying to meet a girl online nowadays. They can literally lie on video now. Can't trust them unless you see them in person.
