stupid question, there was a vid called "the perfect denotator" which was clips from "the Secret Agent" mostly highlighting Robin Williams's role as the bombmaker with this song in the background. it was utterly haunting but I believe the video is geolocked now. Does anyone have it?
I read somewhere that Schubert is Glass's favorite composer. Whether or not that's really true, he does express nothing but admiration for Schubert's works in his autobiography "Words Without Music", esp. Schubert's string quartets.
I would say 'minimalist baroque', but it isn't minimalist at all. My #1 favorite Glass theme. I had the soundtrack on a MiniDisc, my whole collection of MD's deteriorated into pops and crackles; so much for digital innovations... I wished that someone uploaded the full Secret Agent soundtrack!
My favorite of ALL of Mr. Glass' compositions. SO soulful!!!
The world is a better place because Philip Glass’s geniality. Thanks Elliot ...
Perhaps the most traditional piece of classical music that Glass has ever composed?
Great masterpiece, with own character and minimalist sounds transporting us to the universe, listening it become us the SECRET AGENT in the universe.
Drunk or brain-dead.

We could also think of this as message code or the decoder is a brain skilled at decoding which seems to us random movements of particles👀
Philip Glass was never poor; only baroque a couple of times.
Yes, it's said during his baroque periods, he had the minimalist amount of cash possible.
There's a little bit of Schubert in this

Schubert Piano Trio Op.100 (Andante com moto)
