Hackle, Dyed Fiery Brown Cock or Saddle Hackle

I fish in Austria and regardless of what flies I have I always seem to fish 3 in the end. A Klinkhammer, a Cripple variant and a Dynamite Harry… I like the style and how it can be adapted. Glad to have been introduced to the DH via your videos.

I find it very helpful to use these cheap conical brass tubes sold as "conical knot finishers". For me this keeps every single hackle fibre well away from the hook eye.

Ok Davie, got a bone to pick with you...when you going to come clean about your mind powers? I got the same dubbing, (love it! Fulling Mill nailed it with this stuff!) BUT when I go to dub it on the string it fights me! (i've only been tying for 16 months) but when I watch you dub, its like the dubbing knows the master and just crawls around the thread by its own self hah! I dont mind what you tie, just love to watch a master at work. Thank you Sir!
