    Hi Vladimir. The foam you use is Polycelon foam. It is much softer and has a better floating ability like craft foam. Tight lines and happy tying! Jan

      @@Leavenotraceexpeditions You could use Hareline Evazote foam as an subtitute. But you only can get it in black and white.

    I had a VHS tape featuring Roman tying these. This pattern has proven very productive.

    Nice one Vladimir! My kind of fly - simple and effective! Had to smile when you said #12 for demonstration and #16 was best - I tie these (with rubber legs) in #10 and #12 for panfish and up to #4 (with the addition of a deer hair tail to help support the hook) for bass. For panfish little twitches work best, for bass I fish them with 10 cm strips (like a frog) or swing them (guess that the bass think it is a mouse or a large moth) and the strikes are quite aggressive... but that is 4 1/2 months away *sigh* lots of ice on the lakes at the moment. You might want to tie a couple of large ones - I have caught some large browns on big bass bugs when the smaller trout were sipping #16's :) Take care!

      Thank you Hank 😃glad to see you here again 😃. Well, i tie it small cause we dont have many large insects in Serbia. And its the same where i fish in China. I wouldn't mind having river like you.... Trout, bass... That sounds like fun 😃😃😃

    Oholi, moraš da nabaviš mikrofon. Svi videi su ful fulova, ali i kad pojačam na najjače zvuk, teško te čujem.

      Hvala puno. Imam dve kamere koje koristim.... Ova od drugara koja ima 4k ima izgleda ostecen mikrofon. Vrlo verovatno da cu morati da ga nabavim. Mada ja u obradi pojacam ton pa, bar ovde kad pijacam na telefonu dok gledam na YT to se cuje. Ali kvalitet zvuka je sigurno daleko bolji sa mikrofonom

    It’s a very nice fly Vladimir but (it’s just me) I have never been inclined towards patterns with foam. Don’t know why..... 🤔

    • @Oholisfliesandfishing
      @Oholisfliesandfishing  3 года назад +1

      I can totally see that... I was not very fond of it either... Obviously i changed my mind. Foam flies are not nearly as elegant as other flies.... So maybe that's the reason?

      I think that’s true for me too Vladimir. I can’t feel it’s ok to string two or even three flies on the line. One is, as you said, more gentlemanly 😊.
