cool video, i wish there was a way for the government to fund this kind of thing where the construction workers could form a union and do the work, then own the property together and earn the rent etc. rather than only needing it to come from the private sector and business people.
Chief don't come with your communist ideals, do you see the government buying all bad buildings in our cities for construction workers? They don't even enforce bylaws nevermind refurbish their own buildings. Without the private sector investment the status que will remain...
You know, I wanted to write a business plan on revamping hijacked buildings here in Durban and then renting them out, the problem is that I have no capital but I was thinking of knocking doors, but I don't know which doors to knock at, I knew it will work, im proud when i see something like this .😢
Good Job BRA Solly you are a TRUE Patriot, No lip SERVICE and Empty Promises like We Know Who!! Thank you GUYS for keeping US informed on The Great Rebirth of The City of GOLD.
Good, we should invest more in the CBD to win it back. More importantly lower the prices of rent, by challenging Monopolies like Respublica,Student Digz, adowa living and SouthPoint.
What my older brother Solly is doing there, I am going to do in Gaborone, Botswana. This is our subcontinent banna we should go in there and make it what we want. We cant fail ourselves.
Johannessburg Council needs skilled people, so they can get on task to get the job done and clean and fix. How did they let the city fall in the hands of illegals and criminals.
Thank you for your take on Johannesburg South Africa , I am an expat from the USA I am looking to invest in South Africa. Is there someone that can contact me or if I can have the information to reach out to JPOMA please do so. I believe this to be a great idea. The USA often revitalizes old run down bldgs. and the rejuvenating of the areas usually do quite well. I am interested. TY!!!1
In the USA it's called gentrification and the US city councils normally provide support by providing municipal services like maintenance, electricity and a clean environment which is sadly not the case from the Johannesburg council. Your biggest risk will come from the numerous building highjacking syndicates (most of them foreigners) operating from the city, be prepared to pay for heavily armed security to protect your property because these highjackers are well armed. So many property owners have given up on their buildings in the inner city due to criminality, the unpatriotic anc administration and the legal system that protect tenants from eviction without a court order ( can take up to a year to get an eviction order) some property owners have simply abandoned their buildings and emigrated. What I can suggest to you is to do your proper research and due diligence.
See this guy speaks like an investor and he raises concerns about the city and why is the city decaying, the City of Joburg municipality is to be blamed. Herman Mashaba tried to fix it his the powers that are with the mayor's office but he was told that he is xenophobic. People who have never invested in anything are the ones who always rush to blame xenophobia on anything positive you try to do in the city of JoBurg. You can't fix and wash a car on the street, where does that come from? the oil and water are damaging the pavements and the tar road, who is going to fix that? thats why people with money don't see any drive to invest in the inner city, how does that benefit them?
You hit the nail on the head but unfortunately the municipality is extremely unpatriotic and the premier switching on street lights and celebrating is how low the bar has been set, it's so shocking that basic municipal services like fixing potholes and streetlights are celebrated 😂
I'm worried about the layout of the rooms, the rooms are absolutely beautiful. The placement of the stove below the entrance windows mean they can't put any window treatments there, hence exposing sleeping students and compromising their safety and privacy.
@@KlaBoi-qj8oh they do it in South Africa because our government let them specifically ANC government but you wont do it in Nigerian government they wont let you
29:39 Hi David and Nkululeko 👋🙂 Ya! The final try by Grant Williams made it for us, earning victory again against the All Blacks but it was a nail bighting finish non the less Nkululeko... 😂😅🙂👍 Otherwise, the upgrades to the building, in the video, gives hope... The chronic crime issue in the cbd and surrounds, will eventually be dealt by.
