Blish is alive! He has just been hiding behind Mukluk all this time! The two of you better have a really good reason for putting Taimi, Gorrik and the rest of us through all the grief and sorrow. But jokes aside, great video as always Mukluk and Noxxie.
I set Raptor as my default mount in game and Shift + C as my mount shortcut. That way I can quickly mount the Raptor and unmount when I want without using the overlay. It also avoids accidental keypress because it's not a single key. For mounts, I have it set to Ctrl + 1 to Ctrl + N (whatever number of binds I need). That way I definitely avoid mount keybinds getting in the way. And one last trick that I'm lucky to have. I have a Logitech MX Master 2 which allows rebinding its buttons to trigger some shortcut. So because this module doesn't support using mouse buttons for triggering (Blish HUD limitation), I have my "Back" button on the mouse mapped to something like Shift + F11 in Logitech software. It's set only for GW2 and I use that as a shortcut inside the game to trigger the overlay. So overlay is triggered from my mouse with my thumb. I find this to be such a good experience using this and I would urge anyone if they have this ability with their mouse to at least try it.
Thank you Mukluk and Blishhud..I first heard of Blish from Mukluk. Mount bar is such a great time saver.. I also filled the other slots. If i can do this anyone can. I also added pathing. If anyone did the legendary obsidian armor journey then you know the lantern grind. Blish saved hours and hours. There are many 😊 quality of life time savers.
I'm actually lucky to have a mouse (Logitech MX Master 2S) that allows rebinding its buttons with Logitech software. So for GW2 only, I have its "Back" button set to some shortcut that I use inside the game to trigger the overlay. Beats using keyboard binds for me for this use case. So if any of you have this capability, I would urge you to try it. It's such a nice experience just holding the button with my thumb and moving the cursor to the icon I want.
Actually going back to GW2Radial after a month with this. New update and has mounts and novelties split up. Also the auto mount in air and water works a lot better.
NEW! Looks like they added some new icons for the mounts, "Natural" look; like how they do in the game itself. Not to my taste, as they blend into the game too much to be easy to use, but tastes differ. Enjoy.
I read somewhere, that the combat mount works with Blish, if you set it up properly. I would really like to know what exactly that means. 'Cause if you have to uncheck out of combat queuing for all mounts, I am gonna stick with gw2radial, but if that function doesn't interfere with the warclaw I might switch to Blish.
It does recognize the Skyscale combat mount, if you check the box saying that you have that mastery unlocked. It does not work for the Warclaw combat mount yet, but I imagine it will be updated to account for it.
It allows you to mount in combat on warclaw instantly, if that's what you mean. Since version 1.5.0, upgrade to BlishHUD 1.2.0 to find it in the module repository.
It absolutely does work for in combat mounting. You can set it up for both warclaw and skyscale, or either by itself. You can also set it to automatically mount if there is only one option. Thank you kindly.
issue with this is that it doesnt look as good as radial mount ui with each mount a part of circle. It just shows a big square for each mount which looks janky
I do currently yes. This is easy to keep up-to-date in game with blish hud, and they keep adding optional features to thw wheel such as skiff and your homestead portal.
Has anyone had certain radial buttons not work? The only ones that do are Jackal, Siege Turtle, Fishing, Skiff, Scan for Rift, Skyscale Leap, Summon Conjured Doorway, Chair, and Tonic. (The only ones I don't use are Held Item, Music, or Toy atm) Whenever I try any of the ones not working, the character either does nothing or steps once in a random direction.
@@MuklukRUclips Gotcha. I'd figured it must have something to do with a new build of blish hud, as yesterday I downloaded version 1.2.0, when before that I'd downloaded 1.1.1 but deleted it when I saw there was a new version. Also, I don't suppose there's anything that can be done about the fact that blish hud doesn't show up in in-game screenshots or window capture for the game? (I'm assuming that's due to blish hud and gw2 being separate windows unlike addon manager, and that you're using display capture for recordings and streams)
first of all nice video:d. secondly i do have a problem with the mounts thingy that i so far not be able to fix, so basically when i open the mount overlay i can select any mount and or other things like scan for rift for example that works fine however when i'm on a mount and i want to open the overlay to scan for rifts while on a mount it will automatically dismount me and i don't have dismount set anyone can help me or is there a fix or is this how blish is and you can't use mount and rift scan together because of the demount?
I don't have any experience with steam deck or linux. In the case of Nexus I've seen it set off some antivirus's in the past so I have some concerns on its safety. If those get addressed I'm happy to visit it again down the road.
@@MuklukRUclips Personally haven't had it trigger my AV in the 2 months i've been using it. The source code is also available on Github and Anet checked the code (Anet employee is even in the nexus discord). Maybe the AV trigger in the past were heuristic? It can happen when the AV doesn't know that file yet
@@MuklukRUclips they have recently (a few months ago) made everything open-source like blish, so the code is public on github and can be audited. I think if there was anything fraudulent about it everyone would have heard about it by now. Plus I've seen there's even a blish module to integrate with nexus for people on windows!
It is not open source like blish and the blish modules. Nexus injects into gw2 like arcdps does to read and manipulate the game data. They reverse engineering gw2 to "hack" it. Because of that parts of nexus and nexus modules that do this too, are closed source. So use it on your own risk.
@@jorusmerk9103 Nexus itself is just an addon manager and that is open source though. The modules you're right it depends, but not all modules are made by the nexus team. There's community modules and even some made by the same people that made modules on blish previously. You could just avoir the modules that are not open source if you want. They also have clearly stated that even though some things are closed-source, that should an Anet employee ask to see the code they will comply immediately. I know this was also the case with ArcDPS and Anet has asked the dev to change some things to be compliant. IDK if an Anet employee has checked out the source code for Nexus yet though and if there's nothing wrong about it we likely will never know as Anet won't explicitely be giving the "OK". And of course I'm aware it uses memory injection, this is why it works on linux. The UI is rendered in-game instead of an overlay. Blish uses some windows specific things to create a transparent overlay, and that doesn't work well on linux and specifically steam deck. From what I've read, their reason for making some modules closed-source (specifically the memory reading ones) is that by making the code public, it would make it too easy for some people to just fork the repo, change and adapt a few things and create a real hack. (Basically what I understand is that they're afraid that malicious actors would have an easier time hacking since all the hard reverse-engineering has already been done by the Nexus team) What I like about Nexus is their transparency with the TOS. They are very strict about respecting it and taking into account what anet employees have said. They have a "tier" system to mark how each module respects the TOS so you know what you're getting into with X or Y module. The best solution would be for Anet to create an official addon API for creators to use, but we all know this will never happen. Nexus modules using this official API would be made open-source overnight as they wouldn't be reading memory. Or I guess the Blish team could try to support Linux better by changing the way they create and render the overlay. In the meantime it sucks on platforms other than windows.

In case anyone didn't know, you can use the number keyboard as distinct from the numbers above the keyboard.
If you mean the numpad, yes. But that requires taking your hand off the mouse, which is not an option.

N.B. You will have to update Mounts & More module to 1.5.0 to match Mukluk's instructions.
FYI: in order to see version 1.5.0 in the module repository version 1.5.0, upgrade to BlishHUD 1.2.0.
Does this module recognize the combat mount for the war claw? Because I use the mount radial Addon and it does not allow combat mounting.
