I found it! I believe this was the first Synthwave Mix I found back in 2016, and I listened to it constantly before finding so much more Synthwave to enjoy... I had forgotten the name of this mix, and was saddened that I couldn't find my first taste again, but I'm happy to see it's still up!
I lowkey came back to this list from 2016 nostalgia as well, late night web surfing to this playlist back then. I miss 2016.
I wasn't around in the 80's but I really like the idea of the future they had going then.

Grew up during the 1980s. Having this access to this genre of music is fantastic. Seeing so many people enjoying this is encouraging, gotta give Stranger Things it's dues for helping more search for synthwave. (I even bought 80s style landline telephones for my house, like the Roseanne wallphone etc)
I know this sounds crazy and weird to so many, but I miss the times I was talking to girls on a corded land line as a teen.

i feel like it was tron first before we reached this high media age. i think tron was my earliest introduction to synth. but i didnt fully realize i liked synth until i saw the one regular show episode. which btw i highly recommend fans of synth to check it out, even if only the synth bit. episode is called "garys synthesizer". the song is awesome.

Synthwave is one of my favourite genres, love this mix! This is the type of thing that inspired me to make my own channel dedicated to darker synthwave, thank you!

I see someone at HBO's Vice Principals noticed how cool this track is too and used it in the first episode of the 2nd season.
