Nick’s form on cable pullovers are perfect. This has been one exercise I keep trying to get good at. Sometimes I feel deep stretching and contractions other days I feel like I’m just going thru the motions 😖
Those used to be called Lee haney's. Nick's form is very good on that exercise. However, if Nick wants to give himself the best chance of winning the olympia, he has to start doing pull-ups. When Nick can do five sets of 12 reps and a regular pull up he will be unbeatable at the Olympia. He is letting the other guys be competitive by not working on the width of his back from the front and back. Bar none, pull-ups are the best for keeping your waist small and your lats wide. It is if Joe weider and God got together and said this is for my bodybuilders. Is posing of those poses needs to improve but the absolute key for him is doing pull-ups. I don't like the Dorian Yates split but with all the muscle he has he needs to just do the freaking pull-ups. I know he doesn't look at these but I wish somebody who knows him personally will direct him to read this and respond
@@alanbialeck948 Nick literally said his main goal is to improve his front lat spread and bring up his width from the front. Pull ups are a fantastic exercise but when you're as big as nick it's almost impossible to get a full range of motion because his bi's just squish against his forearms
I'm a big fan of Nick Walker. The Walker Nation. I can't wait until he compete again. I'll just wait until that day (the day) he will upset a lot of people. No matter who is it.
Great job,Nick,on keeping the muscle contraction at a steady goal. Not settling either, but always keeping tension(positive and negative) and growth as your main focus, coupled with'right eating'and enough rest/ recovery is key to staying mentally and physically where you need to be. Do keep with the focus, the intensity, and the persistence with your lifestyle, while having fun doing it.
I just tried those lat bar pull overs today for my warm up/ first workout and definitely gonna stick to those vs using the rope or single cable thanks nick for your beastly tips keep grinding champ 💯💯🫡🤙🏽
How? Are back shots weighted differently on the judges score cards? Typically if you have a lights out back shot, your front looks good. But back alone can not win shows unless everyone is off 😊
@@Psychedelic430 Strong disagree. His front double may not be as condtioned, but it is still among the best. His shape from the front is almost unbeatable.
@@Psychedelic430 My initial comment said, a bodybuilder with a light's out back has a great front. Never did I say his back matches his front. However, in Derek's case, his front is still better than the vast majority of the top 20 olympians. His shape and symmetry from the front is essentially lights out when compared to all of them. Nick has the freak factor, but Derek still wins in shape from the front. His quads are insane. Winning a show can not be done with back alone if your front is shit. That was the point. I prefer Nick's freaky look though.
When i was actually still a real bodybuilder when i was taking test. The ny pro used to be a really important show. Idk what happened to it. I think its become way to easy to get a pro.card
Next level volume, densisity ,conditionning and mind set ! A true champion To be honest, i didn't like Nick first but i have to admitt he made à nice work by keep improving weeks after weeks. I like the way he think about bodybuilding too !!👍👍👍
This dude is perfect form. He does each movement in a way for maximum hypertrophy. Really makes the muscle work on the eccentric. Slow and steady. No obsessions with weight. Wanna know how to train right? Watch Nick Walker.
Dudes control and tempo of each rep is insane. Rep 12 looks like rep 1 which is crazy hard to do. Nick on the war path, it's all over now!! I agree with his theory on belts also. Wearing belts, wraps, sleeves will weaken that area and I believe will be more harmful than helpful
first time ive seen a seated t bar...since i hear you mention lower back issues, John Meadows tip really heped my lower back on one arm DB rows by straddling the bench instead of standing over the rack. Give it a try!
The kid is smart beyond his years when it comes to training smart. He reminds me of cutler with his volume and focus on the goal. You see To him hes already won the show. The videos are just showing us a past look of steps he took to achieve what he knows he already has. Vision is reality when extreme focus is applied on the objective.
On the RDL, I agree with you because last two times I have done them I did them the way you have spoken about in this video, but for me I feel like as long as I go slow and controlled (which you have to with this anyway) even more than I have been and not hyperextend the back at the top of the movement I do get a lot out of it for my Hams and do also get some good work on my lower back.
Here is why I don't count reps. I been counting for many many years and now I'm now over it combined with the fact that my main focus is going to failure and beyond therefore I loose count even if I am counting and because my reps are so slow and controlled counting is irrelevant to where it's better to actually time my rest itself to know my time under tension instead
Nick is being forced to do the NYPro as penance for not doing the Olympia. Weineberger got a hold of him and explained what he’s going to do to get in good graces again. It’s true.
I don't do dead lift better even some powerlifting suggest u not do dead lift best is that in with u stiff ur legs and ur thigh on stand base with ur hand lift plates and do up down with weight in it ur lower back train more effectvily and u can go as much as heavy as u can ith using other muscles
