I used to play viego a lot when he was released and then left him bcs I couldn't perform well with him (I was not sure how to play him). Now I want to main him again and this guide goes perfect for it. Thank you so much!
This viego main really worked hard to figure out the best way possible of playing his champ. Even if the character can be frustrating to play against because he just has to auto you to death and is untargetable when he uses his passive, there is so much more that makes a good viego (like knowing what to do with all the champs you possess and making combos with your kit and their).
Keep up the good work Dobby, true fanbase recognizes the investment in your original content ! Btw nice to show the jungle route at the start, good idea. Love ♥
Dobby, when I wanna learn how to play a new champ, you're the first one on RUclips I look for cause you make the videos I need and which help me to improve. And a friend of mine too now😉
once i met a kata who didn't get e at lv9 i got killed and the enemy vain turned the game around, i was actually shocked when i keep pressing e and it didn't work. i looked at the replay and dude didn't e once in the game
Leaving a comment under every video until an Aurelion Sol guide comes out - video 2 So, I have a few things to say about this champ. First of all, it's kinda impressive that the guy is carrying with a scaling champion that doesn't really have great ganks. I'm pretty sure high elo is usually dominated by these early game invading/ganking powerhouses like Lee Sin, Elise, Nidalee, Rek'Sai, etc. So this feels pretty refreshing. What I find particularly interesting about Viego is how people would constantly switch up the build paths of this guy, because he can use so many AD items to a decent potential (not really surprised, since he is a mix between a bruiser and an ADC). At first we had the BoRK rush into Goredrinker, then the Kraken Slayer rush, then the Shieldbow rush, and now Riot gigabuffed Divine Sunderer so this is his item now. He is one of those champs that isn't that restricted in terms of possible items, so you can use whatever is the strongest at the moment (granted there's loads of champs like that in this season, but you still have your Samiras and Aatroxes that need Shieldbow and Goredrinker every game no matter what). His possessions also make him pretty fun and interesting, although I really don't like how he's useless when behind, cus it creates a situation where you're either hard stomping by yourself, or you just can't do anything and that's just... ugh, no thanks! As for the guide itself, I've seen like one or two tips that were also present in the previous one, but pretty much everything here was new, so that's cool. That advice of helping to push your mid when they're low is something every jungler should follow. If you have to recall when there's a bunch of minions pushing into you, then you're gonna fall behind in levels and the enemy mid will abuse this and make you feel miserable while also murdering your team. If you see that your mid needs to recall but just can't, help them out to prevent disaster from happening. Sometimes my junglers do that as well, and it always helps me a ton. Something that I'd like to note is that Viego is getting a buff next patch (I think to his E movement speed), but his healing on lane minions will be drastically lowered. So expect this guy to go absolutely crazy then, because Divine Sunderer is only getting a nerf on ranged champs. Also, what's the reason behind the Cosmic Insight? Is it for the late game Sterak's, or is it just for the lower smite CD?
My off the cuff guess is that insight is for sunderer and bork cooldown along with the smite cooldown. Smite cooldown feels really important now because if you have cosmic insight and your enemy jg doesn't they'll be about a 55 second period where you have a 900 damage smite up and they only have a 450 damage smite. 55 seconds where you can freely steal/secure first drag with impunity.
Im maining this champ the moment i saw his kit i thought it would be the perfect start for me to start jungle (previous adc) And before watching this i have been doing all these tips with viego its such a crazy champ Gold now in my second season ✌️
I like this kind of video. More detailed and well explained. A good take in the right direction! Perhaps some ideas would be to add timestamps? (If it's not too much work)
what I usually do in those situations is I take the person feeding, immediately use any utility they may have (stun, root, etc) and then immediately ult (ult allows you to dodge incoming cc. However if you get stunned while in that body during a team fight you're probably dead haha.
@@RobertoGonzalez-kl3it of course if they have any kind of instant hard cc, they're still useful but if you take kayle for example, she's pretty much dead the moment you exit possession no matter how much health you have.
tbf he was a godtier laner for a long time and meh for a jgler (even tho he was intended to be a jgler haha), but they kept nerfing his sustain in lane, and a few of his hard counters got nerfed in the jg + the shift to a more fighting focus jg meta led to him prevailing to the degree he is now.
Who in rito's HQ thought Viego was fair? He has a stealth that increases his move speed over a large area, Root/dash, crazy life steal, and his ult... its literally a second flash and can use it as many times as long as he uses it when he possesses someone. ALSO he gets a zhonya like stasis when he's possessing someone, which he also heals after exiting stasis. AND thats just HIS KIT. if the enemy has good kits, well it's his too. He's also a perpetual winning machine and just needs 1 good fight. If he's behind and gets that good fight, he possesses someone that was fed and momentarily for the fight gets their items and xp(skills). Meaning that regardless if he was behind in gold or xp, as long as the enemy team did well he can do well. On the other hand, if he's doing well he can just run around, kill champs, and just use his passive to 'reset' his ult flash. While amumu over here crying because they're constantly nerfing him even though he already has a poor wr. Come on rito, use that 100 years of collective knowledge.
viego is a high experience champion not because his kit is at all difficult, but because you have to know how to use every single q,w, and e ability in the game other than his to bring out his full potential
Hey Lol Dobby, Ur video are insanely op and informative. Just a small thing that you could do is move your icon from bottom right corner to somewhere else because i can't see the minimap haha. I don't mean any harm, just for us to see minimap. Cheers!
In high elo viego must be a nightmare for those who play against his mains... A champion which at one moment can have a ton of cc and 2 seconds later highest mobility in game.
I always try to play jungle when I'm sick of getting 5 manned at 8 minutes as ADC. IN PLAT. I just always think I suck even though I can track the enemy jg really well.
My opinion: Viego is a very hard champion to play in low elo Low damage, kinda lack of mobility, lack of damage at the beginning, depend on lanes follow up ganks. But yes, Viego is very exciting to play, u will feel ur blood boiling in ur veins once u get kills,a true late game monster with healing and possess. But if Viego falling behind, it'll be tough for your team in the early and midgame.
