Tomita Grand Canyon Suite Grofe Sunrise

Das wohl beste Album von Isao Tomita ist meines Erachtens die elektronische Adaption der "Grand Canyon Suite"von Ferde Grofe (1929), aufgenommen 1982. Das "Plasma Symphony Orchestra" von Tomita ist ein ganzes Sammelsurium der zur damaligen Zeit besten elektronischen Instrumente wie Synclavier, Moog III, Emulator, Mellotron, Roland Jupiter 4 und Prohet 5. Das Video ist eine kleine Hommage an den Gestalter des herrlich designten Covers der LP. Beeindruckend sind die hohen Dynamikwerte des Stückes. Über grosse Boxen abgespielt, bebt das Stück wie ein Naturerlebnis durchs Zimmer...

If Tomita's interpretations of classical music bring color to the compositions, this is probably the most colorful he ever created. Years ago when I first heard this album on vinyl, the opening sequence brought tears to my eyes. I was so blown away that I had to go and wipe my tears and blow my nose. I have been a life-long fan of Isao Tomita and have heard everything ever sold on RCA in the USA (of his.) I love his work and will until the day I die. TY for sharing this lovely recording. Astonishing music.

rayos como divagaba escuchando este tema,realmente me producia una sensacion de plenitud y armonia...,claro,que lo descubri en el album -space walk-,que venia en cassette,disfrute y me inspire mucho con esa musica y hace tiempo adquiri el album de vinilo,y lo tengo bien guardado como recuerdo y veneracion a tan hermosa musica,

Uno de los mas grandes y prominentes arregladores y compositores de todos los tiempos ,es este jenial interprete isao tomita quien musicalmente surjio escuchando a wendy carlos creando deepues su propio estilo, el al igual que jarre fueron mis principales influencias en mi preferencia por la musica electronica

Hola Dyanarka, este album que tienes lo tuve alguna vez en mis manos y por no tener dinero no lo pude comprar, hace ya mucho tiempo, conozco la canción Sunrise en el album " Space Walk " que si lo tengo, el resto de las canciones no las conozco, pero por este medio conozco 2 mas gracias a ti, y agrego que este álbum, para mi, es uno de los mas hermosos arreglos que ha efectuado el compositor Isao Tomita, quisiera que publicaras los 2 faltantes.

Tomita in remaking Grand Canyon Suite Grofe Sunrise is great. HOWEVER,the worldbeat rhythm track dub - TERRIBLE! If Tomita can redeem himself- take the world beat dub OUT. It's terrible.
