    I had tennis elbow with both elbows at different times in my life and tried every possible “fix” under the sun and absolutely nothing worked. Had to go the surgical route for one elbow which was painful with having to reattach the muscle with a screw, so basically, never would have been fixed with a chiropractor or PT or acupuncture). On the other elbow, was able to fix it with a PRP injection…much less painful and only 1-2 months to fix it. 15 years later, both elbows are 100%!

    • @reshaumichand92

      Hi. Is the PRP injection a cortisone injection

    • @swisstrader
      @swisstrader 2 года назад +3

      @@reshaumichand92 no. It’s two different things. PRP is basically using your own blood, then centrifuge and spin out your white blood cells and then inject those cells in the damaged area. Cortisone is just a steroidal injection into the joint or problem area.

    Research has shown that the best way to strengthen the tendon is with heavy - loaded eccentric training. This is done by focusing on eccentric movement when strengthening a muscle and tendon. Eccentric exercise is when you lengthen a muscle under resistance or the lowering of the weight, as opposed to concentric motion which is the shortening of a muscle against resistance or the raising of the weight.

      Hey Mike, you look great in your pic but there's no frikkin way I'm "heavy loading" tendons that won't support wiping my ass let alone lifting or lowering weights. Just saying, maybe healthy tendon's can be helped like that but there comes a time for immobilization and a slow workup to ANY exercise or stretching imo.

    • @channel_panel193
      @channel_panel193 6 лет назад +2

      not the best way to explain it, but Mike is right. Eccentric loading is key to the strengthening portion of a rehab program.

    Great tips!!! I've seen these different therapies in different videos, but never on one place. I've alway thought a multi-faceted approach was the best way to address a number of health issues. I'll even go one step further and suggest that proper diet and supplement such as turmeric can aid in your healing and recovery.
    *And once your elbow is better, work on keeping it strong and pain free. It requires regular maintenance.

    I lost about 60lbs and lacked my weight training. I got back to it and I couldn’t lift as much but I was able to curl 30lb still. However I think my bicep was no problem, my forearm clearly lacked the support in my right arm and it felt like a snap, sharp burning pain and then I noticed over time a ton of pain in my elbow down my forearm into my hands. Can’t lift anything, can’t bend arm. Going for ultrasound today but I began treatment if ice and a tennis elbow band and trying to do stretching. 2 days in and pain actually came down. Really hate this injury. I just want to workout lol

    I tried graston technique with my chiropractor for my tennis elbow. The approach is very painful as a lot of pressure is applied using the metal blade. My arms bruised and if felt very sore that I wasn't able to do the strengthening exercise. I didn't come back to my chiropractor and instead went to a physiotherapist recommended by my doctor who applied a heat pack and massage the affected area softly which made me do my strengthening exercise gradually.

    Hi, Doc. I'm suffering from tennis elbow in both hands. That's what the Dr told me but I guess I've golfers as well on my right hand. I'm totally depressed. I used to do so much of exercises with weights but now I'm unable to do it. I would like to know whether you could recommend any Dr from Kerala as I'm from that place who could do such treatments as you prescribed. Please advice. 😢😢

      100equus, 😣 I don't have a year, I need my tennis elbow gone. lol, I don't even have time to play tennis, I got mine in both elbows from loading and unloading 500 cinder blocks. I have a family and farm animals to care for and NO time for pain.

      100equus it's been two and not healed yet. Hardcore physical therapy for 9 months then quit. Not positive about hardcore physical therapy fixing it but will have to do it again. Single mom strapped for time. They prescribed soo many exercises. Will it ever end? I just want surgery if that's what will finally stop it. I can't lift hardly anything and can't even work anywhere without pain. Over it!

    Hope I can add to the conversation here! From what I'm finding clinically, the onset of tennis elbow has much to do with subtle *neck dysfunction* . There are still clearly some elbow-specific issues that need to be addressed, but the neck may hold the key to understanding why the elbow becomes an issue in the first place. If anyone's interested, I have put together a simple video for my patients explaining the link and some basic exercises to address! Hope it helps! ruclips.net/video/b2D3-IVAz-o/видео.html

      Brandon James ive been having that done in my PT appts for my tennis elbow. I don’t think it has helped the deeper issues with my elbow. But it has loosened up a lot of other tissues and made other things feel better. I kinda wanted her to do an entire body treatment.
