I always compare Nintendo to Disney. Both have a certain market and consumer that support them and they can rely on. With that being said, Nintendo cannot push the industry forward and most people can't play the game they like on their system. Great video brother!
PlayStation and XBox did too much funneling money to 3rd party, Nintendo always concentrated on their IP. That's what separates Nintendo from the other platform holders. PlayStation's biggest issue going forward is that they were too dependent on partnerships over building their own. They never competed for the Japanese customer with their owned IP, and they never wanted to compete in the shooter genre or multiplayer with owned IP. Now that they see their influence over gaming dwindling, Sony is scrambling. Their single player games don't sell enough to justify their budgets, and they can't put together a thriving multiplayer game for anything. On top of that, they're trying to make EXCLUSIVE MP games ... Dumb, Sony is on borrowed time, they're only running on brand loyalty at this point. XBox lost the console war, but it wasn't for lack of games... The media brought them down over DRM and TV TV TV. How they will continue to be relevant is their IP catalogue that they're willing to sell anywhere. Their console isn't priority, it's the software and services... The same big units for the other trillion dollar companies.
The main thing with Nintendo is that they keep development costs down, but they are not immune from expanding into other markets. They were making [exclusive] mobile games a few years ago. I'm not saying Nintendo is immediately going multiplat but it is inevitable
You might as well say it... Multiplat is the only way Nintendo will grow. They don't have a platform that people go to for playing AAA 3rd party games. We see this every generation since SNES. console loses 3rd party support mid gen Next one gets support mid gen after selling well. Following console gets day one support, then loses it with poor software sales around the mid point.
@TheRealist1. It has always been like that with Nintendo consoles. I said it when the switch came out. Strong third party then died off 2 years in. I got called crazy that's why I always say. Nintendo is always over hype but they stay comfortable because they don't take big risk.
@@HeBotMostPowerfullGamer it's been like that since the SNES... You know Nintendo like I know Nintendo and they don't even like 3rd party like that. They really didn't see a need for them if they were on other platforms. When Sony tried to kill Nintendo by buying off 3rd party they played into their hands.
Sony is leaving easy money on the table. Think how many millions they could be making if they port Spiderman over to the Xbox. It makes business sense.
It would but one they are stubborn and 2 marvel has to be okay with it. Since they own the merchandising rights to spiderman. I have a feeling with Ted Price leaving. This may very well happen
There holding out hope that XBox fans who supposedly don't buy and play games will get a PlayStation. They will keep to the exclusive charade as long as the possibly can.

Agreed at least with the third party games. Like astro chain, marvel ultimate alliance 3, and Bayonetta 2&3 for example would be a good start.
