I am so glad I ran across this video! I see color like you see color. I finally wound up doing this with my pencils--didn't know it had a name "color family". Sure wish I'd found your video about 2 months ago! 🤣😂Thanks for such a detailed, wonderful explanation. I now understand what my eyes saw intuitively.

Thank you. You don't know how long I have been looking for this lol. I have a few changes but this did most of the legwork for me. It's the exact same concept I use for my pencils.. color by hue, then tone, then light to dark.. one after the other. It makes choosing a pencil extremely fast and easy, I seldom ever even glance at a swatch chart. It does take forever and a day though, especially with a large set, so very happy to have this to start from.

I find that when moving around my pencils I discover new colors that I did not realize how beautiful or useful that color is. I appreciate how your chart is organized in color families and light to dark colors. The way you have them laid out you can begin coloring with the first color and keep adding the color next to it and use the darkest for shading.

I happened upon your video and it's an absolute gem. I just finished rearranging my Prismas per your suggestions and will swatch the new order tomorrow. Claire, thank you so much for taking the time to make this chart and video! Just printed my copy and I'm in the process of swatching. I was going to leave you a message when I finished, however, I am already beginning to see the "family groups" that have been created, so I had to stop and comment now. Such a difference in organizing colors and I am convinced this will help with color selections. I also think it will now be easier to pull entire color palettes by seeing the whole "family group" together. Thanks so much for all your hard work on this project!! Have a wonderful day and blessed new year.
