I wouldn't quit going. You always get enough from the tote man to make it worth your time. And you never know what else just might show up else where there. And you enjoy the hunt. You got some lovely items. I love you.Stay safe and healthy. ❤️😗💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶
Seeing everyone heading for the tote man reminds me of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. You need some sort of creepy music to play when he shows up! 🎉😂❤
Is it worth it to go at a flea market just for the tote man? Absolutely yes!! You also got a little exercise walking around until he showed up, so all is good! And we had a little secret revealed about him, lol. He loves his records! Soon we're gonna complete all of his portrait 😉😄 You got some pretty little treasures once again.
Oh happy day...the tote man...he has amazing things and great prices...but i have to agree with Uwe...things happen that might effect him being there and you need a backup plan, but take his awesome items and prices as long as he's there...love and appreciation of you and all the work you put in these videos...just to entertain your viewers..🥰🥰 How funny that you found the book, and Taco found the dolls .😮
I Love watching Rene when she digs through the totes and finds all those old treasures. She reminds me allot of my late Sister. Whenever we went to yard sales, she too loved digging through totes and boxes.
I say you found many a nice items just from one booth, Mr. Tote Man...does that answer your question? I like the Raggedy Anne and Andy book, the tiny shoes and any tiny/mini things I would have a hard time passing up. My grandmother used to make bricks for tiny doll houses never could figure how she did that they were so small. Great fines. ~ Texas
Interesting and very entertaining as always, Renée ! Here´s my answer on your special flea market situation : never rely on one single reseller like the Tote Man, because you might be disapointed one day (reseller passes away, stops reselling etc. etc.). Spread your "Renéedius" to a whole bunch of different markets, drop the worst and keep the best. During my "active" flea market time, I always got a dozen buddies who knew what I was looking for, and the majority made excellent prices for me. Today the situation is a little bit different, because most of "high end resellers" went over to antique shows or ebay, and nowadays the flea market scenery over here appears more like a "poor man´s market". Anyways, nice pickups though from the Tote Man´s inventory, a little bit of everything , hope you also took the antique pencil sharpener 😉. Have a great, sunny and relaxing Friday afternoon, Renée ! 🌄Greets from GER, U.

There are times when the Tote Man lets me know that he won't be at the market a certain day, so on those days, I should venture off to other markets to see what they have. I just am torn because this is the market that I've been going to since I was little, so it holds many memories for me (which are treasures in of themselves!). But perhaps the next time the Tote Man is away, we'll see what another flea market has! Hope you are having a great weekend so far!
Renee, you had a question about cleaning LP records. As a teen in the sixties we always just gently rinsed the disc in warm water with a soft rag and a little mild dish detergent. The drying could do the damage, we used soft old rags (like soft well-worn pajamas or similar), never anything scratchy or synthetic. It seemed to work well. I love your treasures from the tote man, always such variety.
I go to a antique store in Oklahoma just to go to one particular booth. I almost died seeing that milk glass piece in that one bin you were looking at the glass bottles. That’s what I collect. So keep going to the tote man as long as he comes around.
I enjoyed seeing the vintage pencil sharpener. I had one in my classroom in my early teaching days but the students sharpened their pencils at every opportunity till there was nothing left. 😅 ✏️

Great video of a great trip to the flea market. The West German wooden house set was beautiful. I'd be happy if that's all I'd found on the trip. And sure, without a doubt, I'd go if it was only for one vendor - in your case, the "Tote Man". He always has some great stuff - and even housewares! If he wasn't there, you still could just give the place a good walk-through. There always has to be one thing that you could get. Have a great weekend.
Hello Renee. I think that you feel you always find great things at the tote man’s and the flea market is like a old soft sweater , it’s a comfortable place for you and you don’t get so anxious there I’ve noticed. That’s probably why you don’t want to leave it. And if when you’re there you do go to other vendors that’s good. But if you decide to go explore another location then that’s a good thing. Because we all need to push ourselves to explore other things and that’s good for us. And you don’t have to stop going to this flea market. Just go explore another and see how it goes. I think it’s something that has been on your mind and you should try it. You’ll never know unless you try right. But the tote man does come up with great stuff like today. If they are the one that has always provided, I will always continue to go, but I would still branch out a little bit. Find out if it’s worth it or not only one way to find out. Thanks for the video. Catch you on your next one. Thanks bye.
If the flea market is close to you and you don't mind waiting a bit for the tote man to show up, I say it's worth it. He always brings different unique things and you get a good deal. Now if it was mostly socks again then I'd say pass 😆
Hey Renee. I can't believe you foynd some cool stuff from the Tot Man. Their is one thing I would never buy. Are records that are moldy. You can not clean them, if you use alcohol to clean them. It might not work. Napkins are always a must when you need them. God God the Tot Man for giving you Renee a great day. Have a wonderful weekend. Maria. 👋👋❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍👍📚📖📑

Some cute knick-knacks Renee. I wished you'd snagged that coaster with the sort of native American design- would have liked to see that better, but it slipped from your fingers.....still, your usual shrewd blend of the quirky and the cool...
Start with the amount of merchandise you find, multiplied by the money you spend, subtract the time you use up, divide by the cost of your emotions, add back any happiness you gain, divide by opportunities you lose, find the square root of the relationships you've built and then find the percentage of the convenience of the market, and that is your answer. (Is is obvious I have ADHD and am math challenged hee hee).
I love it when you get so excited about your finds! My mother-in-law was really into genealogy. She had researched all four sides of her children’s family as far back as she could and had printed thousands of dollars worth of pictures and mina articles, death certificates and birth certificates. We thought they were safe in someone’s home. No, that person had given them to someone to look at, and that person put them in their basement and now they are water logged/molded. I am trying to do my best to save what I can. It is really a shame. If you have any suggestions, please let me know what to do. It is 8 file boxes full of albums.

Last fall, the Tote Man was stating how he was thinking of going to a different flea market to set up. At that point, I probably would have went to that flea market too. It's the fact that he has different things every time he sets up. Now it's not always what I like, like the one year where he had a trailer full of socks! But it's because he brings different things each week that he is great to shop with. There are people at this flea market that are still trying to sell the items they had from when this market opened up prior to Easter.
Personally Renee I would give up the flea markets and possibly auctions! I think you could do better in the bins and Thrift Stores. There is a lot to get at yard sales but you have to find them. I watch “Hello Handbags and her finds are amazing! Hope this helps! Tyfs!
Mold on the album is not a problem. You can wash vinyl records with soap and water using a soft sponge or cloth, nothing abrasive, and not hurt them. My son collects vintage Jazz and he taught me this. Also removes dust or soiling. The jackets can be treated like other molded paper but the amount of mold and type of mold is a factor. You continue to delight and amaze Renee. You have got to be the most transparent and frank person I've ever watched on RUclips. As for Nazi art, it is probably not in your book since it is so recent, but you must research Cornelius Gurlitt. His Dad was an art dealer connected to the Jewish community and as people left the country, having been forbidden to take hardly anything, they sold him their treasures, including works by Monet and Van Gogh, at bargain basement prices. It is a simply astonishing story and I suspect not the last time a trove will come to light.
I'll have to check out the Cornelius Gurlitt story! Always love learning more! Your son probably has a great collection, people do love their Jazz albums!
You always seem to come away with some great things from The Tote Man, so I'd keep going, as long as it fits the schedule. To bad he doesn't post of some social media platform to say if he was or wasn't planning to be there. Keep digging! 👍👍
He does have some "regulars" that call or text him to find out if he is there, but I figure he has enough doing that, I wouldn't want to intrude being an additional person asking what his plans are. He sometimes lets me know whether or not he will be there the following week, so that is a help.
@@PaperandMoose That's nice when he knows that he let's you know. I like how you said, he said, "he was glad you found what he had set aside, in the totes for you". He sounds jolly.
Fr-ggys??? I have one of those mini cassette recorder/players...still functions...not much for music, really for voice recording. Made by Sony. Boston sharpeners...I have one and still use it! Wow, that publicity photo has two of my favorite things...a pipe organ and a beautiful woman! The second one of the organist looks like he is at the long-gone New York Times Square Paramount Theatre Wurlitzer Console. I would have picked up both photos. I was correct on the organ's location! Mold and records do not get along! The cute mini food packages...I found some of those, as well as mini ice cream cones, hotdogs, sandwiches, sundaes, and ice cream bars. They are a part of two fr-g scenarios I have set up, one being a picnic!
@@PaperandMoose It went very well...and we had a delicious lunch to boot. I'm planning to donate five console Magnavox radio/phonos to the museum, all in mint condition, as I'm planning as time goes by to move these items on to where they will be saved for history and enjoyment of others! Plus less to maintain and dust!!! These sets are from the 1942-1948 period, cost between $350-$500...quite a sum back then!
It is pitiful to me, that so many people are too mean spirited & chintzy to 'like' this video for the content creator. Just grinchy hearted people... should be ashamed of themselves! 💯
For larger items, say like a lawn mower, bench, etc. he has a set price in mind. For what I purchase, I take everything out of my bag and he looks through and just makes a bulk price.
Some of the better made (Valley Forge flags) cotton flags can be great for resale. Especially with July 4th around the corner. Where's your sense of patriotism, girl! 😃🧨🇺🇲
Many other market attendees purchase from the other sellers. The Tote Man is popular because he is one that brings different items every week. He might bring back a few of the same totes from week to week, but the majority of his inventory is new. There are sellers that have been setting up with the same exact items from when the flea market opened in the spring - same items, same price.
I wonder if the Tote Man really would put things aside for you and you could go once every other week or once a month? The big flea market near here has become gentrified and overpriced. Whereas I used to go every week like clockwork, now I go once every two months or so - mostly to get a walk. Auctions and some estate sales are cheaper. You chased up some good finds. Shame about that wool fireman's flag. I laughed when you pulled out the iPod. My iPod Nano (Gen 4) just gave up the ghost so I can't listen to music (at least not my iTunes library) when I'm doing things (doesn't all fit on my phone). Hope you have a great weekend, the smoke is moving out (my folks in CT say they couldn't see the sun) and you find amazing things😀.
If my Ipod ever bites the big one, I'm in trouble because that is my go-to for music when I travel. (I should probably see about taking the songs off of it and adding them to my computer... is that still possible??) I don't really buy enough for the Tote Man to put things aside. There are others that come away with multiple piles, they just seem to carry that perfect for them tote off the trailer and find great things week after week. Also having things put aside would take away the fun and surprise of digging through the totes week after week. It's the mystery of what might be in a tote that brings the buyers in! Now I just need to grab the tote full of vintage things instead of the tote full of new kids clothes haha. The smoke is gone from here, finally! We had two days that were pretty bad. Hope you are having a great weekend!

@@PaperandMoose That's nice when he knows that he let's you know. I like how you said, he said, "he was glad you found what he had set aside, in the totes for you". He sounds jolly.
Did you get the bitcoin? I think the toteman has neat stuff. Our flea market isn't worth it anymore. I would have gotten Hermes box.
You didn't take the Ipod?!?!
It’s strange to me to see so much mold, I live in central California and we get maybe 6inches of rain annually…
Mold can be really bad in this area. Some cleanouts that I have been a part of, it's amazing how mold can overtake everything.
We have no flea markets even within 100 miles. 😢
Ugh, that's awful. I'm fortunate enough to have a few within an hour, hour & a half distance. This flea market is the closet for me.
Where does the tote man find all the stuff he sells? Can't be easy getting different things to sell every week at the flea market.
I cannot reveal his secrets!
Does the tote man come with all new stuff every time? How does he get rid of the last batch?
I was just going to say that little dollhouse miniatures are great for your frog scenes! Hope that the tour went well!
Renee talk to taco see if you can help him with his panic attacks they are a real thing
Try others you can always come back to the tote man
Do you know
The tote man???lol
It is pitiful to me, that so many people are too mean spirited & chintzy to 'like' this video for the content creator. Just grinchy hearted people... should be ashamed of themselves! 💯
Why don't you get yourself a gopro? I keep getting frustrated cos you're only half looking at stuff with one hand 😃🥰
It is a GoPro. I don't wear a chest mount for a variety of reasons.
@@PaperandMoose Ah OK. Thanks for replying. Happy hunting and discoveries 🙂
Renee, how does the tote man price his stuff?
For larger items, say like a lawn mower, bench, etc. he has a set price in mind. For what I purchase, I take everything out of my bag and he looks through and just makes a bulk price.
Some of the better made (Valley Forge flags) cotton flags can be great for resale. Especially with July 4th around the corner. Where's your sense of patriotism, girl! 😃🧨🇺🇲
From the 3rd Reich to Hello Kitty. Who knows what will catch our girl's eye.
I feel sorry for the other sellers!! Everyone is trying to make a living, just like you try and sell things at flea markets.
I don't know anything about bitcoins but I googled and it said a bitcoin is over $26,000. Could that be true?
It depends what someone put on it
I believe she said she was going to give back to tote man the money she found, too
@@ppurgett Thank you for the reply. I can't quite wrap my head around crypto currency so I'm just going to stay blissfully ignorant of it and keep using US dollars. I think they'll be around for the rest of my lifetime, thank goodness.
I know what you are talking about, when I first got with my girlfriend about 12 years ago she told me we should buy some,I just could not understand it
Anyway we found a good canvas coat at the flea market, I told her after we sold it we could put the money into bit coin which was worth $65 each
then
