Power, speed and consistency. Fan Zhendong's backhand is almost as strong as his forehand.
Fan Zhendong was prominent for his backhand growing up but now his forehand seems to be better

Whois TheMan teammates train with each other all the time in every sport.
Reinaldo Pessoa not true. You don’t see Lebron training with other all stars. They only train with their respectable teammates and only maybe once for the olympics but it’s more like casual at that point. However, the way table tennis works, the best in every country trains with each other in hopes of beating other countries. This of course unless they play in league matches

Fantastic Dan. Very similar technique but I would say Ma Long is the closest to perfection with a slightly more upright forehand arc. FZ has more of a switch to a flatter arc on the forward swing giving that movement away from his leg at the start of the forward swing. Perhaps they need each other to train at this level. Interesting to watch the body rotation and knee action too.

Hah, they all must be hating the weather in London. The cold beast from the east is here and it's sooooo cold. I had to go out and play in the tournament yesterday (local, not world cup), and I could barely move my muscles in the big chilly playing hall.
But they love McDonald's and free internetp0rn. ;)

I find very interesting / funny the small "s" Fan Zhendong is doing with his arm / hand just between the end of his last topspin and the beginning of the new one. It's smart, but also a little strange... :)
FZD has a wristy forehand compared to Ma Long. So that little twerking motion is the wrist cocking back and getting ready to be whipped again.
I wonder when we can see a match in this quality ?

Notice how one's appreciation for the sport is enhanced using the perfect viewing angle, I'm wondering when the ITTF is finally going to move to THIS correct viewing angle for all matches so we can really enjoy the sport as a spectator rather than the useless aerial angle they are currently giving us.

Fzd takes it way quicker off the bounce and I feel like it makes him better in game. Ma long is often just blocking and playing half strokes in the games between each other bc he doesn't have time to prepare for each shot in a real situation
