Lucy's Core Stability Workout (10 - 15 mins in total): Plank - 60 seconds Side planks - 60 seconds each side Glute bridge with resistance band - 60 seconds Glute bridge with medicine ball - 60 seconds Leg raises with ankle weights - 30-40 raises each side Flutter kicks with ankle weights - 60 seconds Tom Daleys* - 4 x 30 seconds V-sits - 20 reps Ab wheels - 2 x 20 reps
I agree Strength is key for all three discipline, I know world tour riders do a lot of core to get that power out and maintain efficiency, hours into a race, I think in the TT position it’s even more relevant. You guys are amazing go get them in the Collins cup!
Thank you Lucy for the video. Twice a week is good to know I was looking for how many sessions I have to do. Thank you again for the tips. Just waiting for the next video !
Great video. Interested to know how you think you would have stacked up in the Olympics - triathlon, marathon swim, shorter swimming events, road race, TT, track, and any other secret talents?! Rowing a la Cam Wurf?!
Another great video, I know as a runner I need to do weights but never have as one I find boring and two lack the confidence and knowledge to do correctly. now paying the price by suffering from piriformis syndrome and can't run! have you ever suffered from this?
thanks for the video! i enjoy very much the information you give. ...I am thinking about mobility exercises for the shoulders, as they are often an issue for swimmers, especially when lifting along with the swimming workouts. how do you combine the mobility, stretching, lifting and swimming in one week?
I’ve got a dog too. Do you ever get the feeling they’re looking at you like ‘wtf are you humans doing? Don’t you know to get a perfect body all you have to do is catch a ball/jump up to catch sausages/slide down the hill on your back??’ Mine is especially perplexed by anything that involves lying on the floor. I think she thinks I’m dead!
Thanks for the video. The core part of the video is only around 15mins. I do about 15 hours swim bike run weekly so perhaps adding that 15mins routine Mon to Fri is better than the 2-3x30mins core routine I have?
Surprisingly good mobility on the overhead press. Like a seasoned olympic weightlifter. Some really good coaches worked with you at some point or you learned it from a good source :) Then I just heard "with my swimming i did olympic lifting" ooooh lol. That makes sense. It shows ! I do L sits in my chair when i am at the laptop. Keeps the core stronger and prevents aches :) . Stronger core is definitely amazing for running.. i don't do as much core work as I could..

A young triathlete here and your videos are fun to watch especially whike doing workouts inside.
Wish you would compile a spotify playlist or something with all the songs you use in videos. They're absolutely banger!!

How do you balance being sore from strength training and then running?
She probably doesn’t experience much soreness due to her fitness level.
Your level of physical fitness is of another universe for normal humans. Unreal
Thanks for sharing. Will we see you in the next Olympics?

What blood test did you take in the previous video ? Loads of people asking ! Thanks.
Have you done a video on how you recover between sessions
starts @ 1:02
Could you do a video on the ‘mental conditioning and struggles’ as an athlete?
Just thinking the same: esp since pandemic has affected many people's health ,+ wellbeing.
What’s the weight of the medicine ball?
Congratulations and best wishes for kona. I am your big fan.
How do you like the asics metaspeed sky?
I was wondering how often you clean your bike and how you clean it.
Reese probably cleans it for her hehe
How much is Reece pulling at 4:57? No judgement, just curious bc of the plates.
Can you do a video about recovery?
Can i ask who your S&C coach is?
Anyone know the name of the song playing at 4:36
I love you lucy
What is this S&C you talk of?
Woohoo! All I heard was Paris 2024!
Just snuck that Paris 2024 in there did you :-) maybe a super league build
