- Hey everyone Travis here! iPhone 15 has been out for a few months now but I wanted to approach this review from the standpoint of who should get this device and really I think that for the majority of folks this is the iPhone to get. The regular 15 has a great balance of features, capability, and form. Apple tends to support iPhones with the latest iOS updates for at least 5 years and the iPhone 15 will be a great device for several years to come for those that don't upgrade their iPhone often.

I love how you actually compare pics, videos, and new features to older iPhones people will be coming from. Very practical thing to do in a review that you rarely see.
After a month of IPhone 15 ownership, I am glad I chose the regular iPhone 15. I strongly considered the Pro model, but the regular 15 seemed to have better value. Traded in an iPhone mini 12 to my carrier.

See the approach you took is so much better than most reviews! Most people buying these phones are on a XR or 11. That's when the differences are felt. Really great review!
I upgraded from an 11 to a 15 pro. My battery was shot of course and I chose a pro because I can utilize at all the camera features as well as the better processors (for exporting photos videos). Also I must say, USB-C has made this SO MUCH better since I already always have a usb-c charger with me one way or another.
I upgraded to the plus im more of a normal/boring user i dont use all the features but it was a huge and super noticeable jump

I went from the 13 mini to the iPhone 15 in yellow. I really appreciate the battery life on my 15, because this was my only complain against my 13 mini.
I'm thinking of trading my 13 Mini for a regular 15. Or Or maybe 13.
I have a 12 mini and I love the form factor and overall experience. The only thing that I am struggling with is the battery life since it has fallen down to 81%

I’m still using my iPhone 7plus, which is beast for lasting me so many years but it’s time to put it to rest and this video just helped make my decision. 15 plus it is! Even though I’d like to go for a smaller phone, I think I’m so used to the bigger size that I’d be annoyed by the regular one 😅

Running a green 13pro, not upgrading this year. Would choose a regular 15 for the better colors (green, pink), although 60Hz sucks.

An underrated feature is that the official Apple leather cases for the 14 Plus fit perfectly on the 15 Plus. Right now you can get them on sale for half the price of a Fine Woven 15+ case. 60hz doesn't bother me as much as the lack of an adaptive refresh rate. IOS 17 runs smooth on this chip, and a stable 60 FPS is better than yo-yoing framerate on cheaper/older phones. Even if the 15+ had a faster screen I would be cranking down the frames in order to save battery life but that's just me.
As someone who has a large digital library and doesn't use streaming services for music I'm more annoyed the premium you pay for storage. To get the highest amount I would have need to pay an extra $200 for only 256 more gigs (twice the storage of the middle tier option but imagine paying that much for a 256GB SSD for your PC). At this point 512gb should be the bare minimum, especially given how big apps, games, high res photos and 4k footage can get.

i went from the Iphone XR to the 15, amazing the difference and how light the 15 feels, but i wish apple could do a mini model again with the same baterry life, the iphones are to big for me, even the normal models.
I have a 12 mini and it’s on 77% of battery health. I constantly considering upgrading to the the 15 pro regular size because I chose the 12 mini because I had a 4s as a fist phone and loved it. I’ve been using small phones since.
Just change your battery, it'll feel like a brand new phone.

Hi I had my android phone and planning switch to Iphone 15. Yes there great features on the pro model but I will just stick to regular 15 because its has the enough feature that I can use. Also my android phone is almost 6 years so many thanks to RealMe 6.

After many years using google pixel phones, i decided to try something different this year, so i bought the iPhone 15 plus. I can’t believe how bad is the iPhone 15 camera 😢.
Even my old pixel 5a is doing a better job than the iPhone 15 plus. It’s such a shame !
I really like this model and the new colours but The only deal breaker about the regular iPhone for me is the Display
I used 13 Pro and Androids with promotion display for a long time so I cannot stand 60 Hz anymore ☹
Lightning was the better physical port/plug. I wish Apple made it the next open USB standard but that's about 10 years too late now :D I will enjoy having one cable for everything when I upgrade later :D

I am now on the phone 15 from the 12 mini and I love it. It could be even better than the 14 pro in some places.
I am also planning to upgrade from a 12 mini. I was thinking about a 14 pro but I found it heavy. How is your experience after upgrading from a 12 mini to a 15?

The only thing I would be missing with 15 is macro photography so I would opt for a used 14 Pro instead :/
I'm on a 13 mini, and a new iPhone would have to give me something meaningful in exchange for giving up the small form factor. The 13 mini is such a great phone still that the only thing that I'm really missing is optical zoom. The only zoom lens that seems really worth the significant expense of a new iPhone is the 5x from the pro max, but that form factor is a bridge too far coming from a mini. So I'm waiting until apple brings the 5x lens down to normal sized phones.

The main bone that I have to pick has to do with the screen refresh. I don’t know if the 120+ Mhz refresh rates are now standard or common on lower end Android devices but if so, do we sit another year out hoping Apple would introduce it to “regular” iPhones? The worst case is buying this one only to find out the “regular” 16 gets the upgraded refresh (if they indeed do).
Apple's 60hz is so smooth you will never be able to tell the difference between that and 120hz. It's night and day when compared to Android's 60hz, which, for me, is unusable. An iPhone with 60hz is more than satisfying and that's why I've decided to go for the 15 Plus instead of the pro max.
I would love to daily the 15 plus, but it would kill me to have a refresh rate downgrade from the 14 pro max. It makes the device feel so slow.

I also bought the base 15 coz of the apple green shade/color and I am using it with my S23 Ultra. Love the 6.1 size, the sweet spot. I just hate the 60hz since my previous iphone was a 13 Pro (120hz).
I have a pixel 7 pro with iPhone 15. I have an issue with the camera . Picture wise pixel blows the iPhone out of the park just like the Samsung would ( with out using any zoom feature )

I also have an s23u and thinking about a lighter phone. Regular s23 looks like the better value but there's no point in buying 2 same phones... and 60 hertz is noticeable if you have a better phone.

I had the 15 pro for about a month now. Honestly regret that I didn't get the regular 15. I could have used the cash saved for something else.
switched from 11 to 15 because my 11 is getting slow and i don't want to spend another RM400 ($86) to change the battery when the phone is only worth trading in for ~RM750 ($161).
Having the impression of "it's just another iphone" (which it is), but it turns out is was quite a big jump i would say. the usb-c, the screen (LCD to LED), the dynamic island, the smaller form factor with the same 6.1" screen size. i didnt put much expectation from the camera because it's not a "pro" model + i only snap my dog and my plants. but hey, i got surprised on how nice photos they can take even it's just the vanilla 15!

I have an SE 2020 and I am drooling over the pro since it can record video to an external Ssd directly, hence I think it can be my dedicated camera as a videographer but then most client when they see you showing up with an iPhone feel like they have been betrayed and you are not a real professional.

I upgraded from my beloved iPhone Mini 12 to the 14 Pro, I tell you if something like the 15 had been available back then I might have went for that instead. But now that I’ve grown accustomed to a Promotion display and AOD I don’t think I can ever go back to a phone without these features. You are not saving a whole lot of money buying a non Pro device so you might as well get the best phone you can afford, because you’re only saving a few hundred dollars and what is that going to matter when you’re gone

The iPhone 15 does NOT have the same main camera as the iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro. Why is every tech reviewer proclaming the same thing? This shows the lack of depth analysis in a lot of ways.
I got an iphone 12 pro max…ive had it for 2 years and it was a gift…it works fine…but i notice the battery life is lower and i get those wierd white spot glints when i try to take pictures….I hate using a big phone…i was thinking of going for an Iphone 15 regular…is it worth going for that?

I own the 15 plus and my work gave me the 15 pro. Having used both I really love the size of my 15 plus and the battery is much superior then the pro. The thing that’s nice on the pro is the 120 display. Otherwise I actually feel like my plus camera is better than the pro.

question. If I use third party camera app which can shoot RAW images can i benefit from 48mp sensor? I want bigger screen and Raw shooting capability but do not want to spend that much money for pro max just because ProRaw capability, i can buy 15 plus bigger screen and shoot raw photos with other app of course if this is a working option.

Still getting the Pro models because of the AOD and ProMotion. If Apple includes an AOD on a regular model, there will be no reason for me to get a Pro iPhone.

After 5 years of using my last android phone (Nokia 7 Plus) upgraded to iPhone 15. iPhone 15 has portrait edit after taking normal photo. Even Nokia 7 Plus has this Portrait adjustment after taking photos from Bokeh. Its quite similar but iPhone does better. Bcz Nokia i used was 5 years old phone. Also Nokia has 2x zoom with no drop in quality of photo. But iPhone display brightness drops very quickly while using outside with hot sun. iPhone gets warmer very fast and drops the brightness. This is what i hate from iPhone. Other than that iPhone 15 is best in allrounder.

I have a 13 Pro so I didn't upgrade this time. I would have gone with the 15 Pro just because I can't give up the telephoto lens & use it a lot more than the ultra wide (but that's just me).

£800 on a phone with a 60hz screen?? Nah. Honestly for an extra £200 just get the pro. You're already paying so much as it is, so you may as well just pay the extra £200 and get 120hz pro motion, more premium finish and better cameras.
That’s exactly why I paid extra for the 15 pro… I keep my phones for a long time and I wanted to actually get a noticeable upgrade from my old 11
You keep emphasizing this is a iPhone 14 pro in a newer body. Besides from the usb c port why not just buy the 14 pro instead? It has a better screen and one extra lens and they run exactly the same software so the user experience will be exactly the same. I’m not living in the US but in my country the price of a 14 pro and 15 is really similar, imo the 14 pro is a better deal than 15.

I’d honestly pay a bit extra for the 15 pro, then you won’t have any regrets about not having the telephoto on the 15, or having the lightning port on the 14 pro
