The last time i went to a blockbuster was in 2005 ... man what a time to be alive back then. Life has changed so much, this left a special memory for me
I used to go to blockbuster when I was a kid. I want to go to Oregon so bad because I grew up with blockbuster. Makes me happy that it’s the last surviving video store!
Man, I haven’t been to a Blockbuster Video in 10 years!! Ever since they closed down in my state!! I’ve always wanted and dreamt that I would visit the last one in Bend, Oregon. However, I live in Michigan and I wanted to go visit it by myself, but it’s like a 30 hr drive!! I really don’t know how I would get there. But, I’m hoping to see it sometime very soon!!!
Blockbuster died owing me money. I had wanted to work there since I was a kid. I thought it would be just a thing I would do as a teenager. A right of passage. The only one that would hire me was one when I was 19, it was a long way from my house and just an awful place to work. So I quit pretty soon. But they still owed me my paycheck. I never got it before the company folded and the store shuttered. I could have used those few hundred bucks.
im gen z so i never experienced blockbuster video, but I am very curious as to how the process works, like renting them, using vhs vcr, and "rewinding"
Aw man you missed out. Every Friday night, everyone went to Blockbuster video like crazy to rent movies for the weekend. Nowadays, you put on Netflix or maybe Red box but there's less magic. I'm 36 and I remember my parents taking me every Friday as a kid to celebrate the weekend
This video was done a year and a half ago in like the summer of 2021. It wasn't that off the wall to still be wearing a mask. My mom still believes in wearing a mask even now in December 2022 which I think is over the top. I mean, if it's the holiday season and you're going somewhere really crowded like the airport where illnesses are liable to spread, that's one thing but outside of November and December and going on a trip, I don't personally believe in wearing masks anymore and most people don't. But there are those people out there like my mom who are still concerned and I respect that. My mom says COVID is not over.
I Gotta Go There! I remember renting Anime films and family/action comedy movies 🎥 at my former local Blockbuster Video Store and haven’t been movie video rental shopping ever since the late 2000’s. 🥹🥹🥹
Keep it alive and support at all cost!
How as in most stores you can't even buy or rent DVDs or Blu Rays and players anymore, things change

I moved to Oregon in January 2022, passed through Bend but didn't think to stop. I can't wait for next trip to Bend to see this place.
I remember when my brother worked at a Blockbuster for his first job. He stayed until about 2008. Good times.

Totally cool!
You guys in Oregon need to support it. The rest purchase their products.

I found out about this from Family Guy. I didn't think it was actually real.

@@schecter5035 In America we stopped in mid-2021 in most places. Early 2022 in places like universities.
