When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a screenshot from a video game. Just shows how real graphics have gotten. I have no clue what’s happening in the video I just came to comment this
Nice to see you on the TV show tonight with you getting a round bale with the loader tractor 🚜👌🤙👍
We got some lovely weather for our hay bales too 😅🤙🤙👍👍
Hi Jo well done on hay job with heat wave
Epic indeed the views are! You are definitely lucky and blessed. I for one am thankful that you share your little slice of the world with the rest of us. Thank you!✌️❤️
I really admire the precision of the tractor drivers in the Hay-Making. It's quite hypnotic to watch and I'd love to try it but don't think my driving licence extends that far. And anyway, instead of beautiful .straight lines I think I would leave crop circles. Lol
Thank you for watching Thomas
well nice i wood lov to life on a farm better than down here in east london blessing davey
Thank you for watching xx
Gosh it’s mega beautiful countryside…. Must be good for ones health…
Modern machinery is pretty awesome. But I still like using and watching the old stuff. Another fantastic video. All the best to you all. Colin
Thanks Colin - the old and the new are both quite fascinating 😀 the old has a certain charm
THANK YOU JOANNA FORE ANOTHER GREAT HAYMAKING VIDEO , EVERY ONE PLEASE KEEP SAFE AND WELL , XXX .
The whole hay/bail process is hypnotic to watch. So happy the camp is doing well. Take good care!,
Thank you Donna 😀 the smell was wonderful I wish could put that in the video x
Hello. They paint tractors some funny colours these days. We have just repaired one of those McHale bailers. They have troubles with the lub sistum.
They are so expensive but impressive!
Hi Joanne another very enjoyable video
The hay contractor has good tractors and machines at least you all did not have to lift the hay with your hands hopefully next year you will have your new machines 🙏👋🍻
That big modern expensive haying equipment does work well. And perfect weather for it. Beautiful scenery as always.
Thank you for watching x x x x
Very much like your video Thanks so much.
The baler was amazing
Thank you Amy
Sorry I'm a bit late on parade Joanna, but it was a lovely video, and good to see the hay crop safely wrapped, best wishes from EA.
Thanks so much for watching Colin xx
Hope you get your holiday this fall. You all deserve it. You do live in a beautiful place where people come for holiday, but we all need a change of scenery.😊
Hey Harold, at this point even a few days out of routine would be marvellous! Jus some time to take it easy and chill out!And enjoy the beauty of life! I’d also like some days off cooking and cleaning as I said! X
as always, beautiful views of hills and fields and well everything, thanks for another visit to the farm.
You think you need a holiday, I know you do everyone needs a break. Here in Canada we get some blistering hot summers, and I'm always ready for a cool autumn break. Nice to see the hay being looked after and you must be glad of the choice weather for it.Great Video thank you
Epic Rows! In the beginning of video you were talking about working campsites, there was a cloud behind you that looked like aUFO🤣
We have had some amazing clouds lately for sure!
So pleased things are going well for u.xxx
Great video as usual. Everything is coming along fine. Thanks 🍷🍺
Hey Chris , it’s starting to feel like autumn now I hope the days of vest tops and shorts aren’t over already! X
Loved the last scene of the cows and tents .
If you can't take a holiday , order out and sleep in one of your tents .beautiful settings thank you for sharing . It really helps me to see your views .
Hey Nancy, I might have a girly night with my friend in the tent in September, it’s on the cards ! Thank you for watching snd enjoying xx
Awesome video, Joanne, I can't get enough farming, a life that brings me back to when I was a classic Yorkshire tyke ! Of course haymaking and threshing were completely different then !!
It’s a very nostalgic and special time I think xx thanks for appreciating
The weather has been amazing this summer, in Scotland anyways.
Great video as always Joanna. Great picturesque view & fab weather
Thank you so much for enjoying
Hi Jo and Nick
What an idillic setting watching that tractor making rows of hay, then the bales coming out already wrapped. Very relaxing to watch. Glad the campsite it doing ok.
I know what you mean about this day and age being ‘stressful’.
I still have to wear a face mask to work everyday. Not nice but necessary I guess.
Have a nice weekend
Love Kim x x
Hey Kim! It was wonderful to have such a nice sunny spell of weather for working outdoors and the hay getting in 😀 it’s gone a bit off the boil now Iv been back in my Wintery hat! Haha!!
Lovely haymaking series. Thank you. I was quite mesmerized watching the machine make those large rows of grass (tedder?) so the McHale round bale making machine could work it's magic. Hope you will be able to get a nice little vacation of your own at end of camping season this year.
Hi jo well done for getting the hay making done in our mini heat wave it’s been pretty wet ever since Hope you manage to get away later this year 😎Great to see the campsite busy again xX
Got to admire the professionalism of your contractors I would be watching you filming and crashing through a wall never to be seen again 😂😳😂
Haha 😆 that’s made me laugh!!!
Thanks , glad you took it the right spirit 😂 Do love your channel you really capture the essence and beauty of the place 👏
Lovely job looks like nice weather enjoy it dont work to hard your probly rite were you are woud be like a holliday at home lol .yep here in victoria austrailia we keep haveing snap lock downs and we are on number 6 its a load of bull eney way be safe thanks
Great vid Jo ! This is just a small rowmakermachine. There are also rowmakers with 4 and even 6 rotors. X.
Jo your dad could do that easy you can learn of him and no one else proper farmer
Very enjoyable episode.
This is a McHale Fusion that replaced two machines which it took to do the job previously, -namely, the baler and wrapper. Would have thought that this dry hay didn’t need to be wrapped. It really adds to the cost of each bale.
It’s nice to look back on a video such as this when sitting by the fire on a cold winter’s night.
Hi Joanna great video again, the modern tractors 🚜look a bit out of place on your farm, but they sure do the job quickly, what a wonderful backdrop to be working in, stay well and be safe 😀👍.
Thanks Kelvin, maybe we need a few more years of successful camping before we could
Think about investing in big farm machine purchases!
The contractors are a great way to solve that issue :-)
Such amazing views from the top fields great video thought the Highlands looked well at the end 🚜👍
Wow😍 you abouslulty Gourgous and such alovly smile and love take you out for a meal sometime and take you to the Maldives when they open back up from covid 🏖💘🥂🍾
There nout better than seeing a big rake and baler rock up after humping hundreds of little bales about 🤣😁. Looks nice grass as well, the sheep and cattle will enjoy it this winter 🙂. Was it hay or haylage in the end… just ask as they wrapped it 🙂. Hope your all keeping well xx
Hey, it was haylage - as it’s wrapped ? Is that the definition? - 😀😀it’s nice stuff!!
@@DaleFarm it’s unusual to wrap hay unless you’ve no storage and it’s an extra expense. Usual wrap haylage or silage but looked too dry for silage 🙂. Every time you open one up this winter it’s gonna take you back to the day it was made with the smell 😊
another lovely video joanna have to say the weather is a bit different now to all that sunny weather we had a few weeks ago that was good haymaking weather stay safe
Hey Alan well today has been super grim hasn’t it!! Altho better this evening. I have had my woolly hat on today!
Lovely, order bales from grassland chaos. The beauty of the landscape always makes my day. Thank you for posting, it us a lot if extra work for you. Take care, cheers!
You are welcome thank you for watching x
Hi Joanna really enjoyable vid as always, having lived and worked nearly all my life on arable/livestock farms (mostly dairy farms in the Cotswold) I certainly understand why you feel like you don't need a holiday especially when you live and work in such a beautiful part of the world like you do or I do, but getting away from your day to day routine and being able to relax and recharge is a must in my humble opinion,
Being the owner of old hay making equipment and a 1960 Fordson Dexta myself I always enjoy seeing them working in the field but also at the same time working with modern tractors I enjoy seeing them out working as well really liked that JCB Fastrac fantastic machines.
Hey thanks for the comment - I agree a mix of old and new machinery, old and new ways is perfect!! I love the farm life but definitely need to create some gaps in the schedule to unwind and relax. As with the camp site it’s very hard going for months on end! But I always try and keep smiling! Never been to the Cotswolds but I heard it’s beautiful xxx
@@DaleFarm Totally agree with you old and new machinery is always lovely to see working, and yes it is a very beautiful area especially West Oxfordshire/East Gloucestershire that might be why we have so many celebrities living in the area, in my humble opinion the border between the two counties is the best place to visit but I could be biased as I'm from West Oxfordshire, strangely enough I've never been to the Peak District but hopefully will in the next few years as it does look a beautiful area to visit.
Great video, great content. And over 15 minutes long..Top draw..💯👍💯
Thank you Mark! Next video is foot bathing c
Nice camera techniques now Joanna - well done.
Thank you! I try hehe
Enjoy the sun. Snow forecast to 200m near where I live. New Zealand.
Happy birthday
Thank you xx
Love the video!
McHales manufactured the baler/wrapper used in here quite close to where i live here in the west of Ireland.
Looks very similar here to the lovely area you live in.
Always a pleasure to see you again my dear friend and hope you are doing well, amazing those modern tractors yes, heard want u said about area,at least some business ok take care an dont get sunburned
Hey David! I did have my sun protection on, and a loose shirt and a hat for when it’s too warm! Thanks for watching! It’s cooler now and rainy xx
Well cant have sunny blue skies all the time we wouldn't get a nap
Hi
I love farm life so much.... I have seen your videos, they are very wonderful, my psychological comfort I find in the farm life 💕
Thank you from the heart 🌸
How can I come to visit?🥺
I want to start a farm ، In addition, I have experience in animal husbandry .
glad every thing is going good in the campsite did you get as much hay as you thought so far ?? hugssssss

Thank you John xx
Nice country, great video as always! Selling a lot of my animals because I’m laid up for at least eight weeks, then therapy so who knows how long.
So sorry John it’s a nightmare for you. Sending my best wishes and hugs xx
@@DaleFarm thank you, man just came and picked up my Duroc boar, that one hurts a little won’t lie about it.
i saw you lot on tele the other day making a pig pen i keep wanting to say mc bale too
Hey Russel
Yes that sounds like us!
Great video. McHale baler are made in Ireland
built and tried and tested to the limits in irish conditions .........some of the toughest grass harvesting conditions on the planet ..........mchale all the way , and all the way home again ....!
They are awesome!
Hi Declan what part of lreland are you from I'm in cork
Kept passing video jo modern bailer didn't think it was Dale farm lovely video Nicks comming out of his shell good 😀
@@finnjohnson7022 Kilkenny.
That looks like a good lot of hay will last the winter don't want to hear about scorching been in 90° weather for over a week couple of days of rain cool down a bit but back now in the 90s and we're having tons of violence preacher said the other day they are drunk on the wine of God's wrath and that seems to be that way I hope you do get a holiday everyone deserves one especially you and Nick and I do feel sorry for Nick now since I found out you're a neat freak poor boy can't leave anything laying around LOL 💥😉🤠🐝
That’s true nick says I’m a nag hahah
I say he should live with the pigs hehe
We love each other really
:-)
Yes the world is an unsettled and scary place right now. Have to keep having faith that good will win over evil x
Mchale, wow what a bailer? Wrap up in a hefty bag? Won’t that make the hay wet? I’m not a rancher, but curious.
It wraps the hay, there’s some moisture but not much as the hay is dry. It creates a higher sugar content for the animals , a little fermentation- gives them energy in the winter x
Didn't realise you were going to be on quest to tonight little bit surprised when you all come on is it something you have talked about on RUclips before hope I haven't spoiled anything eek
Quest tv I ment to say
That gear makes our vintage gear look so out dated. Still have to try
Thank you for watching Seamus
Definitely gets the job done faster that will be quality feeding in the winder.
Thank you Seamus xx
Hey Joanna!
I was thinking earlier this morning if you would be posting another video soon.
Those look to be some very respectable windrows. How many bails does Farmer John estimate will go into the barn?
Hey Bill - we stack the bales in 3 locations outdoors which is why they are wrapped! Busy times but I like to keep my creative side going so some rainy weather meant instead of doing my Garden / outdoor chores I can edit a video! X
So much hay - are you rolling in it?
Are you making plans to expand the campground?
Great video lass , but if it is hay why wrap ?
We don’t have enough covered storage space for the hay
If you’ve got the right machines, that’s half the battle .a very efficient tedding machine.
What was the baler doing? Did it wrap one whilst making the next?
not a tedder ....its a rowing machine ...................baler wraps te first bale while the second one is being baled ...........cuts out a driver and tractor ..........but not a simple machine to operate , would need eyes in the back of your head ...........called a mchale fusion baler ...!
@@georgedoorley5628 I would have thought it was capable of being adjusted to spread the crop for drying. Most machines of that type can do anything. With the baler, wrapping one bale whilst making the second, saves a lot of time.
@@lionelmarytravels6003 that machine is a twin cam rake ......it can only rake up the crop into a windrow .......that particular machine cannot ted out the crop like some can ...... cam rakes can rake up 30ft into a row for the baler .......the baler works better if fed a large wide swart .......less trips up and down the field speeds up the job also ...........have seen 15 bales per acre in a very very heavy crop of silage .........
Here it has been 37 to 42 this summer
So hot ! Too hot for me!
You could have just round baled that as hay rather than haylage , it looks like real good stuff.
I used to do hay haven't room for them inside had so much waste that's why we wrap!
@@johnshimwell9638 I understand; we are in a similar position ourselves.
I love opening up a bale, dad always says it’s the smell of summer and I agree
@@DaleFarm for sure can't beat the smell f summer in the depths of winter

@@DaleFarm What's work?
Enjoyed the vid but technically it isnt hay If u wrap it aswell. Its haylage.
Goddess Joanna.
❤️❤️
👍👌🇨🇦❤
its not actually hay baling, you are making haylage as you are wrapping it
Impressive but it’s not real farming 👍
🤷🏼♀️
